The journal is hidden behind other books in the bookcase on the right side of the door that you would go through after killing Professor Slate. Go inbetween the bookshelves and look at them from behind for it to be plainly visible.

Once you've gathered this book and the 5 candles, you must take it back to the entrance of Scholomance. When entering the front gate, rather than going left to go down to the dungeon entrance, you must go right then go all the way back to the room with bones and a grate in the middle of the floor. Use the book to activate the ritual. Congratulations on your Memory of Scholomance!

You can pick this up on your way out of the same run where you talk to Eva for the first time, you don't have to reset the instance and come back or pick it up later.

If you have the "Interact with Target" keybound in your UI, you can run up to the bookshelf and it will loot it too if you're having a difficult time to click it visually.

How to Access the OLD Scholomance Before MoP
Note: Takes about an Hour of work!

Step 1.
First of all Enter Mist of Pandaria // Scholomance.
- Clear entire dungeon (bosses) so that final boss Darkmaster Gandling is dead.
- Go up on 2nd Floor middle room (behind Boss)

You or a FRIEND need the toy "Krastinov's Bag of Horrors"
When your next to the Skeleton pile use the TOY.
Note: EVA Eva Sarkhoff Spawns (panic mode)... once shes revealed, Remove TOY Buff!

Bring Materials (AUCTION or FARM): ------> NO LONGER NEEDED!
# 3x Dark Rune
# 5x Essence of Undeath

Combine to create "Spectral Essence" (Trinket)

While your still next to EVA (inside Scholomance Dungeon).
Loot the **__BONE__** next to the skeleton remains on floor for the item "Eva's Femur"

Step 1.
STAY IN DUNGEON! ---> Run backwards, Loot Eva's Journal inside the Viewing room.
Check for a small papertin Book on 3rd shelf.
This is the ROOM before Darkmaster Gandling, after 3rd Bosses killed.
Before going down to Darkmaster, go behind FIRST bookshelf, looking toward the "scholars" and you see the Book.

NOTE : TO BE ABLE TO SEE THE SPIRITS YOU MUST EQUIP Spectral Essence !

Step 2.
Eastern Plaguelands = Visit "Corrin's Crossing" ----> Cords: /way #23 54.99, 64.17 Corrin's Crossing
Objective: Loot an The Road Ahead Painting on wall.
Note: Next to where INNKEEPER / BARDISC normaly is.
Trade it with Artist Renfray for the Imported Candle ----> Cords: /way #22 65.72, 75.35 Wall on right side, Bardisc

Step 3.
Eastern Plaguelands = Enter DUNGEON Stratholme
Note: Inside dungeon, First Left > First Left, Find PACKAGE box behind Fountain (On a Wagon).
Entrance: /way #23 54.99, 65,90
Trade it with Rory for the Tobacco-Filled Candle ----> Cords: /way #22 63.40, 75.42 Rory

Step 4.
Eastern Plaguelands = Visit DARROWSHIRE.
Note: Loot for an Meat Wagon, Left of it you will find Trampled Doll ----> /way #23 35.7 83.7 Darrowshire Meat Wagon
Trade it with Sammy for Ghost-Warding Candle ----> /way #22 69.20, 78.00 Sammy

Step 5.
Western Plaguelands = Caer Darrow (outside Scholomance)
While your standing near Sammy, Walk around Fountain, Loot the Caer Darrow Fountain Water
Trade it with Joseph Dirte for Stinky Candle ----> /way #22 68.05, 74.86 Caer Darrow, Joseph
Note: Look for this guy on 2nd Castle Row, left side near an Shred building

Step 6.
Western Plaguelands = Visit Andorhal ----> /way #22 44.0 69.2 Andorhal Town Hall
Enter until you reach the Biggest room, Look on the right side, 2nd Wood Pillar for an Paper Parchment The Deed to Andorhal
Trade it with Magistrate Marduke for Authentic Andorhal Candle ----> /way #22 70.47, 74.11 Magistrate, Near Dungeon

Now your READY to perform the RITUAL!

Go toward the Scholomance Dungeon, Do NOT go left (MoP Dungeon), Go RIGHT, Second LEFT.
Note you see a small metal grid on floor, this is where you will perform ritual, and enter the OLD
Move inside building to ----> /way #22 69.83, 71.98 Ritual Location

Click your Eva's Journal, And your now ready to run the OLD Scholomance.

This will UNLOCK for all characters and make it ACCOUNT-WIDE!

Note: Thus means any Character & Realm can access without repeating quest!

I could NOT see the book at all. But finally, I did it. On the right side of the door leading to Gandling, there are two book cases. This one is on the far right of the third (or middle) shelf of the left one of these

Since people seem to have a lot of trouble with descriptions:

On the bottom floor of the viewing room, to the right of the door for Darkmaster Dondalinger, there are 2 bookshelves that are at odd angles. If you walk between them and turn around, you can look slightly above your character's head to see the book sitting on the back of the shelf behind other books without having to go clicking through weird angles. It is on the bookshelf that will be to your right if you are facing away from the wall, on the left side of the shelf above your head. Looking from this angle it's a full square.

Whatever you do, don't use the wowhead guide. Missing key steps, misleading steps and some just incorrect. I wish I had used the guide here instead if wasting so much time on wowhead guide.

I do not know if anyone else had this issue. Followed steps exactly. Started step three; at the fountain looking at wagon but there is nothing interactable anywhere close. Guess I need to find a youtube video to see what was not said in this guide. :-( Found missing information. Enter main gate, not side entrance. If you have started at side gate entering the main gate returns you to the side entrance. Reset all instances and now you can enter. I must have run side entrance 1000 times faming the mount and pet dungeon. Never crossed my mind about the main entrance.
