The event starts every hour on the hour during Hearthstone's 10th Anniversary in the following locations:

Valdrakken /way 62.38, 67.40
Stormwind /way 33.8, 19.6
Durotar /way 52.8, 15.8
An Ominous Portal spawns with a 5 minutes timer.

When the timer ends, a brief gauntlet begins and eventually Dr. Boom spawns.

If you're having a lot of issues with lag, I've found that using Eyes For You Only helps immensely. When the game doesn't have to load in everyone's characters it's much less strain on your computer. Good luck!

Do we need to be in a group for the loot to actually drop? 2nd time now where I just tag the boss and he drops nothing?

The Hearthstone's 10th Anniversary is no longer on a location rotation!
Valdrakken: /way 62.38, 67.40
Stormwind: /way 33.8, 19.6
Durotar: /way 52.8, 15.8
The event will be happening every hour at every location.

BE AWARE:
Dr. Boom will spawn after either Patches or Chillwind Yeti have been killed.
He is the mob that drops loot so make sure to tag him.

I have killed him multiple times and got all the transmogs, toys and mount however I am still missing the 36 slot bag. Suddenly I have been unable to loot anything from the boss for the last 4 kills in a row even after tagging all 3 of the bosses. I am not sure if it is a bug or working as intended. I am even missing the last card (Grove Tender) for the achievement Hearthstone Card Collection.

I have even submitted a ticket saying that nothing is dropping from the boss after killing it 4 times in a row and they responded with

"Customer Support does not assist with missing or undelivered loot for any reason, including if it was caused by a bug. The steps outlined below may help. However, if you are still missing the rewards and wish to obtain them, you will need to do the relevant activities again. "

Today I had a weird observation. May be a bug ?
There were estimated six Dr. Booms up at the same time at the same place (Durotar).
I was alone there. Usually I am alone in Durotar or only one other player is there.
I do not know, why noone else is doing the portal in Durotar. May be some phasing issue.
After killing and looting them one after another, at the end I got three times Reno's Lucky Hat and some Stolen Hearthstone Cards, but no other loot.
I already own many items from the loot list.
I was carrying 10x Hearthstone Wild Card from the beginning before the fight.

What can we learn from this?
Theory 1: If noone kills the boss, it stays there. Then next hour, there will be two bosses, etc.
Theory 2: The possible loot for a special portal is fixed, and it is just rolled, if you get it or not.
~~Theory 3: Except for the cards, you get only items, that you do not have used to add them to your collection already.~~ (At least, you can get Sarge more than once)
Theory 4: You will not loot more Hearthstone Wild Card, if you have 10 in your inventory.

Please comment your observations supporting or refuting the theories.

Addition one day later:

It happend again.
Now I am pretty sure it has to do with phasing and I am the only one in that phase on that server.
Instead of yesterday, today I killed the different Dr. Booms with three different characters.
All of those characters were level 20 free-to-play twinks in the same phase.
Together I have looted 2x Compass Rose and 2x Collector's Carryall.
In the same hour on another realm, with an Alliance level 20 character I have looted another Collector's Carryall.
Seems, that was the happy hour of the mount and the bag.

Three days later:

They patched the event to be every 30 minutes.
So this time there were estimated 40 Dr. Booms up at the same time.
I killed and looted most of them in very hard fights with kiting.
At the end I have got estimated 15 x Sarge, some greens and greys but no purple (probably because I have them all).
They have added grey items to the loot list.

Log your alts here too, if you can load in quick enough you should be able to tag Dr Boom, force close game by opening another client and go on new char to tag again.

I learned you can run 5 accounts at once to get 5 kills an hour. Running starter editions on your main so your main account can get credit and obtain the items. Saves a lot of time.

Some findings:

- He spawns after 2 mobs out of a portal in Valdrakken/Orgrimmar/Stormwind.
- He spawns roughly 5 min. past every ~~full hour~~ 30 minutes in all 3 locations.
~~- Different servers/shards may have different spawn times, so you can serverhop and kill the boss multiple times per hour.~~
- You may or may not get loot, even for the first kill of the day.

The location in Valdrakken is on the big platform outside and half way up to the Seat of the Aspects (= large tower with all the dragons on top).

In Stormwind you can find the portal at the very northwest near the docks.

In Orgrimmar, the portal is actually outside of the city in Durotar near the zeppelin/harbor location.

This is not a 100% info, but it is based on what I've seen personally and read in the community:

In order to get mount, pet, toy, tmog or bag, it is best to have 9 Hearthstone Wild Card with you.
In order to get collectible cards for the Hearthstone Card Collection acheivement, it is best to delete all Hearthstone Wild Card. If you have more than 7 cards in your bag, you might not have an ability to loot the boss.
You can kill the boss several times within the same hour, looks like it does not affect the loot you get.

Just me or does his ash bomb have an aoe far bigger than the visual area displayed for it?

I dont know what changed today compared to the days before, but the abilty ash bomb is wrecking my 70 warrior today. I get stunlocked 2 or 3 times and the ash bomb just kills me with 33K damage per tick in a few seconds. The last fight I charged in with full HP and was dead in less than a second.

fyi: when I just tagged Dr. Boom without doing real damage the only drop I got was this Bent Card, I dont know if it was a coincidence or a way to stop people from "just tagging".

Hearthstone event Dr Boom here, can be pickpocketed, nothing exciting thus far, just 14 - 20 copper, Empty Wallet and Holey Punchcard.

Edit: Bit more interesting , just Pickpocketed Pattern: Fine Leather Gloves

Latest update looks like they multiplied the chances to get the Pet and reduced the rest equally.
63 Kills, no mount and 17 pets, since 30min update

My personal rundown of drops after 7 days :

Main account (5-6 kills per day) : -Mount -Pet -Hearthstone Toy -All cards -2x 36 bags -Reno Hat Xmog -Belt Xmog -Tabard Xmog
Alt Account 1 (1-2 kills per day) : -Mount -Pet -6 cards -Reno Hat Xmog -Belt Xmog
Alt Account 2 (1-2 kills per day) : -Mount -Pet -5 cards -1x 36bag -Reno Hat Xmog -Tabard Xmog

I have stopped farming as the Collector's Carryall drop is way too low in my opinion to make this really interesting once you have everything else.

I got this for almost 5 hours ( started from 10pm to 3:00 am ) , every 30 minute or sometime two time ( another a new event just 5 minute after Boss died ) , Alliance Druid night Elf , Lvl 20 , Trial User
My role was Druid Tank , all time.

So... does this ever come back? Kinda sad because I didnt realize until looking at ATT that I got absolutely everything except for a single transmog item, the belt

I know it was a new event introduced, but was it only cuz of the big 10 number and now I'll never get Taverner's Belt? Or maybe I can hope for it to show up on Trading Post someday...
