I guess I should be used to the level of overblown hysteria I have seen from some of the posts in this thread, what would make me say such a thing you ask?Items on the BMAH will only very rarely appear, none of those items will have a buy out. The opening bid will be quite high and we can only assume the closing bid will be exponentially higher. What does that mean exactly? It means no matter how much gold you have, the odds of seeing an item you want over the course of a year are exactly slim and none. Even then if you do see an item you want and have an almost unlimited supply of gold you will still have to camp the BMAH all the while upping your bid and this could take days!As to the arguement that this will promote players buying gold, did any of you ever consider Blizzard may scan accounts that recently won an auction from the BMAH for sudden large influxes of gold?So the BMAH is not quite the game breaking new feature some of you would have us believe, but please feel free to continue running around yelling about how the sky is falling it is your right after all.
Reins of the Onyxian Drake... well played Onxyia, well played. Unfortunately the price she will ask will be equally out of my reaches, unsure I'm ready for that heartache seeing it sit there but knowing it still will never be mine. However allowing me to purchase class-unbound Tier 3 Raid Sets may help ease that pain a little.
welp, I'm screwed.

Blizzard is encouraging ppl to buy gold with this system & should be ashamed. This game should be based on merit & progression to receive reward & not on how much gold you can buy or compile. If you want these rare items to be available then simply put them back in the game. D3 is already suffering under this system where ppl are forced to farm for hours to afford items off the incredibly inflated AH in order to get progression into higher levels. I don't care that some NPC will generate these items, those few players that actually have these rare pieces should feel special because they earned them the right way & not by spending $40 for 200k gold from some Chinese site. Blizz claims they are against players buying gold, clearly they are liars.
If Blizz wanted to track ppl they'd just do it they don't need some BMAH to see who is buying gold. But thanks for trying to find the silver lining.
Actually if youre the first person to bid Maximum Gold you Automatically win it. This is why we will see alot more botting and gold buying. The amount of gold players receive is going to be increased substantially, youll probably be able to buy Maximum gold for $500.Scanning an account for large increases of gold ? Haha dont make me laugh, Blizzard takes years just to ban hackers. Even soo whos to say someone didnt just simply give you gold ? Ive been on streams where players have just given other players massive amounts of gold. They have no proof that you bought that gold. The Black Market Auction House is just going to cause more issues than it will solve.
Chinese gold farmers are back to work... the difference between wow and other games was that azeroth wasnt under capitalism with this new feature capitalism will rule both hordes and alliance...
for example i was aproached by someone a few years ago, he traded me 40k and lots of mats saying "im quiting wow, you where the first i encountered , take them all, ty bb..."
LOL I WROTE TICKET ABOUT ASHES OF AL'AR YESTERDAY HAHAHA! XD
Dammit. Seems like I'd better start farming gold in MoP then.. Never had more than the 16k I paid for my mammoth... Urg.I wish some of those mounties weren't at the market tho ._. I used soo much time on some of them. Blue proto? 234 tries before I got mine.
Nice to see that the consortium is involved. It would have been a shame if blizz had forgotten of them.
Deathcharger's Reins: Lord Aurius Rivendare, Scholomance? u mean stratholm right;P?
hmmm... this looks really cool and a little change from the original AH which propaply most of us have gotten bored of :-)
