So Blizz is trying to get rid of 60-80% of their playerbase with this contract? WoW would be named World of Puritans where only the good, honest people from the light can play WoW. Though I approve that toxicity needs to be dampened down a bit but I don't think this is the best way. This contract feels more like a parent telling kids what to do. It's offensive to the individual and this will not deter the true toxic players. Just saying:)
Pretty words, Blizz. Meaningless until/if they actually enforce it.
Can't wait for the "muh freedom of speech" crowd to meltdown because they have no idea what those words actually mean
So they're gonna hire more GMs to deal with these issues and actually fix them right? ............Right?
Guess we're going to need Elon to buy out Blizzard next; seems all the Twitter staff is moving to Blizzard. It's always nice to have people that lack moral integrity giving others such ultimatums.
Isn't it funny how they are forcing this on the community BECAUSE of what the devs working at Blizzard did ? just like all their other woke nonsensical changes forced upon the game, incredible..
That's fine, I'll just take it to Twitter or Discord instead
What's the point, though? WoW never had problems with toxic community, it's not free-to-play game, kids aren't common there, and older folks being toxic on chat is kinda rare sight, and this is saying a guy who spent countless hours on trade chat.
ah yes the "gun regulation" method rather than actually take the time to punish those that actually should be held accountable for breaking the rules lets pile on further regulations on the people that actually respect and follow them
Good change
Just a friendly reminder that if you're a normal player with healthy behavior, you don't need precise parameters of what is considered hate speech, you won't find yourself anywhere near it.
Connect with other players and make friends! So what about players who are socially awkward and still enjoy playing this game?Or what if your "friends" are the people in your immediate family?Personally, I'd help players whenever it's possible, or team up whenever possible but...The Loading Screen tool tip: If you enjoyed playing with someone, put them on your friends list!"If" and not "You must"...---Play as a team with your fellow players - whether in dungeons, raids, battlegrounds, arenas, or out questing in the worldDoes Blizzard realize that some players do their game play around their erratic work schedule, such as is the case with me (a self-employed individual). I may have ten minutes here, then an hour there, then not play a whole day, or have a whole day available for unexpected reasons. I cannot "schedule" when I got time to play. I play when I can, and all but "out questing in the world" requires much more time than I have. When you see people's reactions to people saying "going AFK for a moment because my door bell rang" and saw the BS that was stated because of it, it's what puts me off from joining a group and risking team play. Yeah I had "day off" when I went to sign up for the Jailer fight. I had actually scheduled the day it would become available and was prepared to wait for as long or attempt as many times as needed to do it. NO, the team play should be optional and never be forced on players... We work. We have families.---I already play by upholding the existing rules. I don't need to be treated like I'm a child by the rules the company sets. Common sense is what any adult with a brain knows about.
I'm called every slur in the book in HOTS and it's never punished. I don't believe blizzard cares for a damn second.
