I wish you could skip this fight and move past it. These gimmick encounters aren't even fun when they're current content, and they're magnitudes worse when you're solo farming them years later, because they take longer than regular boss fights. Hellfire Assault in HFC is in a similar camp, although at least that one is easy as hell nowadays. It just takes too long. The problem with this encounter specifically is that even leveling up and gearing up and all that jazz isn't going to noticeably decrease the difficulty of soloing it. The timings are still going to be insanely tight. They need to make this even easier, honestly. Like, maybe increasing Eonar's health based on the player's gear would be a nice change. And also making Life Force fill even faster. What's the point of keeping some semblance of difficulty on this, outside of timewalking?
Kinda feels like this still needs a nerf.As 70 this is still insanly hard to solo unless you play a toon with amazing movement, DH, Evoker Etc.as warrior I'm still unable to get up, kill and click the 4 gems before Eonar dies to dmg.
I feel like I'm missing something. I tried follow the directions here on my 70 evoker, but once i go up to the ship, kill the guy, and destroy the crystals, the encounter fails before I can get back.
Ignore what this "guide" says, you cannot solo this on mythic. My hunter is lvl70, ilvl373 with some halfway decent gear. I can nearly one-shot mobs, maybe two-shot depending on damage rolls. I have multi-shot, death chakram, stomp (when used with barbed shot), and Lifeflame Ampoule that does 19k damage split between all enemies (more than enough for these mobs), so needless to say, I have zero issue with AoE and taking down the hordes of mobs. Even where the guide says "and kill only one hound" is negated by my ability to take out the entire mob as soon as they spawn with just a few shots.I have trailblazer active, so I get a speed boost and I have aspect of the cheetah, which I attempt to use in the ship. As soon as I click the last crystal and get the (de)buff, the game one-shots me even though the laser SHOULD be disabled by that point.I may not be the top tier as far as mobility overall, but the high damage I deal, the speed perks I get and the amount of AoE I have makes up for that and I STILL cannot solo this POS raid fight.Removed
I soloed this on my Paladin (F-tier mobility), it was a struggle and took a few wipes, but it is doable. The worst part, which seemingly is RNG, is flying from the Paraxxis. It's just a buggy mess, way to often does it just bug out and prevent you from gliding back, or get close enough to land. After the first Paraxxis, you need to get back ASAP, clear mobs attacking Eonar, and head of to kill bombarding mech on the lower path.If you pull this off, you'll probably win.
after trying it a few times with the written tactic, i finally did it yesterday with the monk and today with my frost dk on the first try.i did it as follows:- speak to essence- fly to mid spawn (entrance) and kill the destructor and three waves of fel hounds- run a bit and fly to upper, kill lord and destructor- jump down to essence (kill some fel hounds that come down from mid if there are any) and use jump pad to lower- kill the one fel hound, use jump pad back up- teleport to paraxis, kill dude in middle, start with south and end with north- back out, clear anything if there is something around eonar (on both kills i had nothing there), proceed to destructor- after that i went back to the essence and fended off whatever came around- not sure the last moments though. did i kill enough while eonar was talking? because i ported both times to the paraxis where the achievement popped up and i died.since i did it exactly like on the first kill (monk 369, dk 393), i am 99% sure to reproduce it to the exact same result.
Velren's comment above was spot on. kill all the stuff he said, go to paraxis, exit north, clean up anything around eonar, kill last destructor on lower spawn, then just defend eonarone thing to point out - you can use the fly/jump special ability inside the paraxis. i used it after breaking the two south crystals to move to the other side quickly
Frost mage ilvl 415Guide works, but only with the comments.Failed countless times then came to read this guide, read all the comments because guide wasn't clear enough for me, beat it on the first try.You need to kill all but the low path mobs, then at least one low path mob, hop in the portal, start with south crystals, use the extra ability to fly to north, use those crystals too, run out and jump down with extra ability, then kill all you can as fast as possible. If you die on the ship, you didn't kill enough before the teleport (or too slow on the crystals) if you die out of the ship, you either kill too slow or maybe you missed some higher value mobs. If you need to get into the ship again, you failed.
Yeah, do exactly what Velren says, it's stressful, but doable. And don't forget to immediately head for the Destructor on the bottom platform when you're done with the Paraxis. Eonar is so incredibly fragile... You're probably going to have to head back into the Paraxis to kill the one guy in there, that should trigger the final Life Force. Just be warned that the Paraxis will disappear and you'll fall to your death, but you'll win before you do. Hope you like being juggled in the air for 90% of the second half of the fight.
still way too difficult in 10.1.7
Still needs a nerf. Just make Eonar's health scale with player gear, remove the stupid time crunch.
