So, yeah. Useless bonuses in this iteration, and that was fully expected. You CANNOT beat % XP bonus unless you push some serious combat/speed bonuses, to make up. The shill chorus provided some fun here and there, almost always the same broken strings on same old hymns.
I hope they add a way to get some extra rested XP along the lines of those elixir treasures in Spires of Arak...Otherwise, if you're just straight leveling and never take breaks on the way to 50, you'll never get any benefit out of the 2 and 6 set bonuses.Maybe the 6 set bonus could also give 1% of a level in rested XP whenever you kill a mob while not having rested XP, or give 10% of a level in rested XP every time you level up?
seems like a pretty decent trade off. I could see myself still wearing them (well, that and not needing to worry about getting upgrades while questing). I don't see myself using the 4 set too often, I tend to afk a lot now while leveling. but overall pretty cool, especially the 2 and 6 set.
So I'm supposed to make a character and leave it be at Inn for day or two before leveling. Pathetic
I say increase the rested xp generation by the same % as the set bonus for reduced consumption. Do that, and I can make my peace with the heirloom changes.

Did you know you can just buy the cloth ones and all your characters can use them? That is way cheaper
Kinda boring tbh, but oh well
*puts on his Dyatlov hat* Not great, not terrible. *takes off his Dyatlov hat*
Man that looks bad, especially that 4 set bonus.
(4) Set: Gaining a level triggers Burst of Knowledge, dealing Holy damage to nearby enemies and granting you 40% primary stat for 2 minutes. Defeating additional enemies extends this effect, up to 2 additional minutes. This sounds pretty bad, honestly. It’s going to encourage players to be toxic and overly reckless while running low level dungeons.I’ve seen way too many Monks cause wipes and then immediately quit once it happens.
I was honestly expecting a flat 2% movement speed bonus or something in place of the experience %. This is a lot more interesting. Good direction on this, Blizz.
The point of heirlooms was to make leveling faster after you already got one character to max level. With these changes that will no longer be the case, and your second character will take just as long as the first. That sucks.Reducing rest XP consumption is not a great answer because that requires you to stop playing for up to 10 days to stack up rest. This will make the optimal path leveling multiple alts, alternating between them to maximize banked rested XP so you don't run out. That was already kinda the case, but much more so now. And that sucks too.Blizzard should just come out and say "We don't think your alts should level any faster" and be done with it.
Could they not make us gain rested XP faster? Because the whole point of heirlooms is to level fast...but you can't capitalize on rested XP unless you have it. And as a comment points out in here, that's 10 days of being logged out in a rested area to maximize on your full rested XP. That's not fast at all! But if, maybe, we accrued rested XP faster for the 2 set bonus, and got more out of it as the 6 piece bonus, that could work better?
