Embellishments should add the missing ilvl. After all, people want crafted gear for the embellishments mainly.
Not a big fan of this, but big hopium they'll fix it like they did this season. At start of season you are time gated from getting your both embelishments. And when the sparks get rolling the crafted gear is irrelevant already. Helps out a little if your other specs have different stat prio, but being 6 ilevel down is just meh. Current 3 ilevels is good balance imo!But bigger thing is alt gearing. Farming the 120 aspect crests (and crests overall) is pain in the ass to farm for your alt. Maybe drop the crest requirement to like 5 for upgrades instead of 15 per upgrade, if you have higher ilevel equipped on your main in that slot?

Not cool.
They sure are determined to make S4 the least fun season of DF
If this is true, I strongly resent this change. Just as I resented the last change. Just let my crafted gear be the same Ilvl as the rest of my mythic gear ffs.
6 ilvls is too much. 3 felt fine.
Blizzard: we need to make crafted gear useful so people will have a reason to buy it and make a health and active economy. Also Blizzard: Better make crafted weak.Personally I think season 2 was peak crafted gear. As someone who only had things crafted for me, it the gear felt like a substitute for bad-luck protection from bad mythic raid drops and bad vault drops (max out for mythic raid and +20 m+)
Season 4 will be weaker than Season 3? When Season 3 was already weaker than Season 2? This tips the scales toward crafting professions being irrelevant. So what am I to do in Season 4? I'm not raiding anymore because I wanted to focus on more "unscheduled" content: arenas, professions, and M+. But PVP will be mostly dead in Season 4 and now, so will professions.
its not even about having your very bis, its a literal stab in the back for honest gold making. they finally made professions useful in DF only to ruin them totally now? they are not even "punishing" the hardcore mass crafters, the hardcore gold farmers will still have their boost industry and tsm ah flipping, i was happy i was finally able to sustain myself in game on my own terms, i wasnt even spamming trade or anything, mostly responding to ppl asking for something if i happened to be in town doing nothing and filling any honest public orders the cd allowed for. i also always enjoyed crafting just for my own chars. but no, "just buy tokens" if you arent the rich elite, "goblin" or whatnot. thats what they want i guess, thats really sad, i wouldnt even be able to back up with a token anymore as last resort due to a rather crappy irl situation i dont have much control over.
There is clearly a notion going to devalue crafter gear, i get it season 1 was an experiment and crafter gear was too good, but its season 4 now and they are still trying to push these annoying slow changes, just cut the crafter gear if thats what you are after already, or leave it as it is when we came this far. What they should of done from start is to give crafted gear utility only, no dps, and people chose what suits them, sure there would still be cases where its op, but much more menagble.
I just find this to be an incredibly garbage choice. It just makes crafted gear feel like $%^&.
The only question is Why? You need more crest to get myth-crafted gear than you need to upgrade the Myth track item to its max level XDSeems kind of pointless change to be honest.
After the enjoyable improvement to crafting compaired to SL to keep nerfing crafting does not feel great and in my opinion is a massive step backwards. If it still costs 90 aspect tokens as well to carft the upgarde item then out side the 3 embelishment items it would not be worth the cost vs upgrading Myth gear and even those embelishment effects may not be worth it as primary/secondary stats could make up the diff at 6 ilvls. It will become easier to just farm the gear in M+ than doing the quest too even get the half a spark each week, only the first few weeks (3/5 weeks) would an embelishment make the diff for M+ players and raiders but carfted could be dropped long before end of the season/expansion.Maybe have that embelishments add an additional amount of Ilvl to gear to keep profesions relevent as a bare min.
These changes are so bad. Blizzard developers have never been so out of touch as they are come season 4. Absolute shame...Should just be equal to mythic track cap like it used to. Stop nerfing fun.
