Yes, people complain for the sake of complaining. BFA is not remotely as bad as people is making it out to be, Shadowlands did not come close, never got the hate for BFA.Sure the plot leaned too much on Mists of Pandaria, but otherwise the expansion was solid, and we fairly quickly diverged away from the faction conflict.
Leaning on the side of this is going to backfire catastrophically on Blizzard. No beta let alone alpha. Try along with Overwatch 2 and you got the mobile game (whoopie ding dong do). We've seen the "To be released before xxx" before aka Wacraft refunded and that ended horribly. To mention the massive crunch time the company is likely enforcing upon the workers. To me It seems they suckered in a bunch of people for some cosmetics and few other things and a false reality that it'll be released this month and if it doesn't people are going to get really angry but it will be their own fault.
Even if Beta started today... releasing in 6 months would be a complete rush. I have zero confidence in the dev team being capable of making a quality expansion so soon after the release of SL's last live patch 9.2. They need to delay. They need to take the necessary time. They need the initial impression 10.0 makes to be good. I think SL was better than BFA. But 8.0 & Azerite Armor is a great example of something players absolutely don't want to see happen again. Overwhelmingly clear feedback from beta given, no major change till x.1. Felt like they couldn't correct because of release schedule, felt awful.SL to a lesser degree. Should have also included tier sets far far earlier than the very final patch.. Tier sets returning to the game was one of the most exciting bullet points from the initial expansion announcement but it was absent for the majority of the expansion. Honestly felt kinda scammed with it being announced as a feature before the xpac even released. A response to what the community was asking for following Azerite. Whole expansion. One tier set.
I think this rushed released sold me on not joining the launch, it'll be one of the first wow launches i miss out of choice, i missed mop/wod due to playing other games but i've never chosen to ignore Wow before.I think Blizzard will have to re-earn my faith and it might take a while, all the things i enjoyed doing in wow always get stepped on due to their pride and neglect, even running old raids gets ruined everytime they change the scaling formula and it goes unaddressed for months to a year.D4 will be a skip too at this rate, Immortal only made me feel like getting an old copy of D2 to blast through with mates.
They roll it fast because the expansion got nothing worth testing! I'm curious what else is coming in addition to mythic plus and raiding. Probably nothing much. They never invested much (if at all) time in balancing classes so broken classes are not going to stop this release.
All those saying they cannot release this year as there would not be enough time for testing... lol wut? Shadowlands was tested extensively, and all player feedback was ignored. So what would be gained by testing for months if nothing would be done with the results? And, to be honest, I'd rather they just stuck with an internal test, have a short (weeks) beta to check scaling and people breaking systems. No matter how "well" it's tested, there were always be a need for large scale patching just after release and in X.1, so going through a lengthy open testing cycle is just not productive.
Just wondering..... in my mount inventory, I have SEVERAL dragon mounts that I already know how to ride and won't need training for. Why will I need to "learn" how to ride a dragon in the expansion? I'll just pull out my Onyxian Drake I've had since patch 3.0 and ride it like a pro, or maybe anyone of 50 others I've collected over the years.
Blizzard never accepted feedback from the playerbase, delaying the expansion for further testing wouldn't change a thing
Please, remind me one more time. Why people who pay the money right now via gameshop and get the digital version get to use new stuff, and me who also paid 155 euro (gone), have to wait for my box to arrive to input the code ?Can't I get code right now and the box whenever is possible ?And please refrain to offer me to buy it multiple times :)
Part of me wants to think that if it has no system to make into chores, it might actually be fine. That it be might be on par with like TBC or WotLk for how gearing and talents go. That we won't have something akin artifact/azerite/anima/aspect(?) as another system put in place at a later point either. But even that feels overly optimistic in my own head.
I have no idea how people have any hope for Dragonflight considering it will be obscenely rushed, lol.
