Case of Fresh Gleamfish is related to The Great Shellkhan rare mob in Thaldraszus.

Location: 38.54 68.48
Required for: Adventurer of Thaldraszus
Reward: The Super Shellkhan Gang

This is a tricky one rare mob to trigger. First, you will need to collect Case of Fresh Gleamfish in The Azure Span at 45.62 54.84.
Travel then to Thaldraszus to the provided coordinates and talk to Patient Vaargo. Use available dialogue line so he will trigger the rare.

P.S. Case of Fresh Gleamfish expires in 15 minutes, so it's good to check out the rare is on its spot before go.

The case of gleamfish is located on the eastern side of the island the other comments mention, at the base of a tree. It is not highlighed, but will become lighter when you mouse over it. `/tar` doesn't work either. It's to the left of the Kauriq Fisher

The guy you turn this into must be locked behind Iskaara Tuskarr rep. I am at Level 6 and they are phased out.

This object does not reappear if you have turned it in to Patient Vaargo before, you can only spawn the rare once per character at the moment.

On a new alt, lvl 67, and he wasn't there for me and I had the bait.

Tried this today, I'm level 70 with Tuskarr rep 5. I found Patient Vaargo who was behind the small hut in a "scared" position. Unfortunately I could not interact with this NPC despite the videos showing him fishing by the lake. Not sure whether there's any other requirements for this, or what happened to the NPC.

Picked up the case of fresh gleamfish, got back to where shellkhan was hanging out, and I couldn't interact with Patient Vaargo. Tried talking to him, no options to interact, couldn't drop the crate of fish to him, or use the crate of fish item from my bag.

I'm level 69.

The Great Shellkhan is in Thaldraszus, south of Valdrakken at a waterfall.
Patient Vaargo must be fishing nearby and The Great Shellkhan must already be there, but it cannot be fought yet.
This requires an Case of Fresh Gleamfish, which is located in The Azure Span, in the Kauriq Gleamlet area, on a small island.
Grab the Case of Fresh Gleamfish and if you deliver it to Patient Vaargo within 3 minutes, you will get the achievement Three Minutes or It's Free.
The Great Shellkhan also drops the toy The Super Shellkhan Gang.
The Great Shellkhan is part of the achievement Adventurer of Thaldraszus.

After getting Case of Fresh Gleamfish cound not interact with Patient Vaargo. I was War Mode OFF.
Once, I turned War Mode ON, I could interact with the Patient Vaargo and the NPC activated The Great Shellkhan

Still bugged. 6 weeks later and you STILL cannot interact with Patient Vaargo to give him the Case of Gleamfish. Therefore you can't kill the rare The Great Shellkhan. ANOTHER thing that doesn't work in this game. Everyday it's something and to put in a ticket it's 10-12 days before Support will get to you. Blizzard is an absolute joke.

WoW released this expansion too early. Why? So Blizzard could boost their subscribers so WoW would look good to Microsoft and get a higher selling price.

Tried this today, 19.01.2023 on EU server and it worked. See below 1st attempt and how it can fail, and then the 2nd attempt I tried where it can be successful.

1. Last time I tried it I made sure that both the rare and NPC were there but when I brought the Case of Fresh Gleamfish I noticed that even if the NPC and rare are there, the NPC also needs to have a dialogue box to speak with asking for the right bait, therefore it didn't work as it was non-interactable for me.

2. However, today, I made sure again that both the rare and NPC are there but also that the NPC is interactable and has a dialogue box where you can ask for the right bait.
Fortunately for me it was all good, so I used 'Bronze Timelock' dragonriding skill in front of NPC, flew to 45.63 54.82 TOM TOM coordinates to The Azure Span, clicked on the Case of Fresh Gleamfish which doesn't dismount you and then used the Bronze timelock to get back to the NPC. Clicked on the NPC and used the dialogue box. Got the achievement 'Three Minutes or It's Free' as the bait was brought in under 3 minutes and the rare spawned. No toy yet though. Next time I guess.

Attempted this one today (1/22/23) on Ghostlands. The Great Shellkhan popped up so I ran and grabbed the fish but couldn't interact with Patient Vaargo. I've been trying to get this one done for weeks now, but it seems to still be bugged. At least on my server.

The duration of the case is 15 minutes in real time, but if you return the case to Patient Vaargo within 3 minutes you will also get the achievement Three Minutes or It's Free.

It is a very easy achievement to do.

This is on a tiny island in the middle of a part of the river in The Azure Archives. Easy to see once you scroll over it. You get a little golden cog wheel letting you konw you can interact with the item. Once you've gotten it, you have 15 minutes to go summon the rare. I took the FP from Camp Antondias to Valdrakken and was there with 12 minutes to spare. Let everyone in Valdrakken know I was getting ready to summon and it was that simple! Happy hunting :)

I just did this one. I picked up the gleamfish, went and had a look for the NPCs but they weren't there. I turned warmode on, and The Great Shellkhan and Patient Vaargo appeared at the designated location.

Got the stuff and brought it to Patient Vaargo. The dialogue happen and then nothing. The Great Shellkhan stays in its shell...

Did this today on EU Runetotem Server @ 19:39. Flew over to Thaldraszus made sure Patient Vaargo was there and was interactable, set Bronze Timelock and flew as fast as I could back to Case of Fresh Gleamfish (you only have 3 minutes until bronze timelock resets). Clicked on case, press bronze timelock again and was immediately back in Thaldraszus, interacted again with Vaargo got the achievement, killed The Great Shelkhan and also got the toy! Happy Days!
