Hat is consumed on use.

Blizzard, make sure the animation on using this involves the character eating said hat.

These hats do not persist past the darkmoon faire. I had 4 in my bags when I logged on about 5 hours before the faire was ending, and all hats were gone. I opened a ticket and the CSR confirmed that the hats expire and that it isn't noted in the tooltip. :(

After taking a look into the situation it appears that these items are supposed to be destroyed at the end of the Darkmoon Faire and the tooltip was not propoerly updated to reflect that. There is already an open report in and the situation is being looked into.

Seems you lose the buff when you log off. I was turning in boxes at ravenholdt and missed out on some rep. woulda been nice to know before hand.

if u put this on you loose the whee buff. i tried it to combine them and it didn't work it was a waste of 10 tickets.

This buff doesn't disappear when logging out but rather ticks down in real-time (instead of in-game time). So, you can't log out to save time on your buff if you have to go AFK or something.
