You can find the altar at around 19:20-19:23

Once you're close to the altar use the "Gift of Naias" to summon Naias and once summoned you can kill him to get Heart of Naias.

easily solo'd as 34 druid.. kill him, loot, go into travel and run to water and go sea lion.. adds won't follow far

Above coords. are correct. It's on the western part of the island. He was easy, just make you you clear the mobs around before you summon him.

I'm having problems summoning Naias, I attempt to summon him but he only appears for half a second and then disappears. Anyone know if I am doing something wrong? Or is it just a bug?

Nevermind I just tried summoning him again and it worked finally, seems like it was just a bug.

Easy soloed by a lvl 33 Blood Elf Shadowpriest, without any pots.

Buffs was Priest buffs only

Easily soloed as a lvl 34 warlock. The hard part was swimming out to the island :P

He is a level 37 non-elite btw, very easy as lvl 38 Rogue (of course).

Anyone have any idea where on the island the altar is? I couldn't find it and gave up.

The alter is on the far west end of the island. Be careful, the area has many wandering water elementals all around. While they are non-elites, there are many of them and mostly lvl 37 and 38.

Frost mage, beware. All the elementals are immune to Ice magic, wich make it really hard to quest. You have to either use Arcane or Fire magic, and even then , at level 35, it was taking me around 75% of my mana to kill a single mobs, and they hit for a lot of damage.

So you may want to party with someone before trying to do it, or be patient.

done as a lvl 34 rogue, it was quite an easy kill, the mobs around him are maybe stronger :S

the only problem was clearing the area to avoid adds but after doing that the quest is very easy...

Naias - lvl37 Non-elite

Doesn't do anything special. No harder than any of the mobs on the island. Has mana, but didn't cast anything on me.

As a lvl36 Frost Mage, i had a small amount of trouble with this.
I just kept spamming arcane explosion and hiding behind a mana shield, and everything was fine.

I did this as a lvl 33 dual-weilding arms warrior with 1,698 health.

Don't be put off by his level! I easily soloed this NPC at level 32. He barely got me below 75% health. So if you're lower level, dont be afraid to try this quest. He doesnt hit that hard, or cast any spells, and you dont really have to clear anything around the altar, if you're careful. Have a blast. ;D

The altar is at 19,22

Using the totem from the prerequesite quest, you summon Naias, a level 37 Water elemental.

Kill him, grab the heart and you are good to go.

75 Silver and 3500xp from the turn in.

Mage lvl 32, specced frost he's practically impossible. I've got the 3% less resist fire/frost talent and he still resisted 90% of my scorches, the ones that went through did minimal damage (25-+).

Used icy veins twice, Evocation, Frost Ward and still only got him down to 45%

Remember to try to use the "Goblin Fishing Pole"- grenades that you get from a previous quest in Booty Bay/STV, it's an easy 150 extra damage.

Edit: at lvl 33 it's a piece of cake though, almost no resists. One level makes such a difference ^^

Sadly I accepted this guest at lvl 33 and went off without checking that I needed to level a little before able to do this.

i got a problem...
that pussy naias dont wanna come up...
i have used the gift several times on the altar but apears a circle like in frost nova and he dont come up...
what can i do?

tiktuga, watch out. I thought the Quest monster would have appeared in front of me. And I used the quest item to summon him several times. When I watched my back I saw him and tried to kill. Millions of Naias came out from a single one and in a second I was defeated (R.I.P.)

An Unusual Patron

Use the Gift of Naias near the Altar of Naias to summon the water elemental Naias. Defeat him and return to Nemeth Hawkeye at Grom'gol Base Camp with the Heart of Naias.

Description

So this Naias is the mastermind behind the Bloodscalp and their exotic magic? I'll admit, this is the last place I expected my inquiry to lead, but no matter, our findings may still prove useful.

Off the coast to the northwest is an island inhabited by lesser water elementals. There's a crude stone slab there that might serve as an altar for the likes of the trolls. Take the totem you found to that altar. Let's see if we can draw this Naias out and distill his power into a more agreeable form.
