Not too hard. Most of the horde population will be down near the bank and auction house. Mount up and ride in the back entrance - you'll have to go through a gauntlet of guards, but with an epic mount you should be able to out run them. Keep following the path, swirving to avoid additional guard aggro, down to the Valley of Wisdom, where you can ride up, complete the quest, and ride back the way you came. You don't even need to dismount.

Did this as a 72 Rogue. Stealthed in back entrance but first line of guards saw me. Got halfway to Darkhorn before I died. Was able to res and stealth the rest of the way. Had to wait for a group of 80s to do their thing, completed quest (and achievement) and ran out. Died once running back out but died in a good res spot.

Since no one seems to have mentioned the supposed "Back Entrance" I thought I would shed some light for those that don't know.

First of all, it's not a back entrance, it is a side entrance. So dont try to find a way up the cliffs from Azshara =/

Darkhorn the Elder at 41,34 in "The Valley of Wisdom". The side entrance is on the left side, if you follow the river thats on the left of Orgrimmar you will hit it dead on (35.3 4.7). Just follow the road to 41,34 and get outa dodge.

Me personally, I left the main front entrance, I went right by the Horde AH and Bank for more of a thrill ;)

Feb 14, 2010 - Darkhorn has apparently moved. I am standing at 41, 34 right next to Thrall's Grommash Hold, and there is no Elder here. I even went inside the hold - no Elder. However I did have a nice chat with Jaina Proudmoore, Warchief Thrall and Lady Sylvanas ... apparently due to another quest I'd forgotten I had. >.<

That's right, you can fly in, but fly in an a very high altitude until you're right over Darkhorn, then you can fly straight down to her. If you fly too low, the outriders will shoot you right out of the sky.

Since Catas release, the location of this NPC is no longer to the right of the building of thrall... as this building no longer exists =P Instead if you fly up the mountain sort of north east (If i remember correctly) to the ogrimmar AH there will be the lunar festival NPC's up there with the beams of light coming down on them, you should find him there :) (Sorry if this has already been mentioned, i only read the green highlighted posts ;)

The new loc is 52,60 in the raised area of the city near where the zeppelin docks.

I flew southeast to the hills and then stealthed in cat form to ninja the elder. The horde only got one DoT on me as I made my escape :)

If, like me, you're an alliance and haven't bought Cata yet so can't fly, here's a short corpse run way for low levels to get this which I just did as a level 70:

Go to Undercity, get killed at the bottom of the east Zeppelin tower.

Ghost run back (a fairly long way), don't resurrect until you get to the top of the tower and a Orgrimmar Zeppelin has arrived. Resurrect and make sure you are killed on the Zep. Your corpse is going on a trip so don't release! Wait until you arrive in Orgrimmar and then release.

Make the long ghost run in from Razor Hill to the Org Zep tower which is pretty near the Elder, stand behind Elder Darkhorn and wait for your corpse to fly overhead again on the Zep (you'll see it approaching on your minimap), resurrect when it comes into range, right click the elder and there you go.

You're now in a relatively safe spot from guards so you can probably just hearth out if you don't want to die again.

I got it easy enough. I wrote a macro /way 52 60 and run it when I was in the Orgrimmar airzone (high enough). You will have an arrow providing you to an elder position. You can observe situation from the high in the air. Fly down to him and away after you got quest done (spacebar - straight up!).
