"Magistrix Erona told me you'd be along quick enough, <name>. The Faltherien Academy to our west - the huge floating building with the ornate spires - is in bad shape. You're going to be leading the effort to recapture it from one of the Wretched - a blood elf who has forever succumbed to their basest cravings.

"I hope you're ready to work. This is not only going to be a lesson about danger, but also of what happens when you forsake the realities of who you are."

For players without coordinates:

Lanthan Perilon is found west and just slightly south of the Sunstrider Isle starting tower. He stands right out in the open near some lovely benches, so he should not be difficult to find at all. Keep an eye on your mini-map as well; he appears on there as a yellow dot.

It isn't Magistrix Erona or Lanthan Perilon that Orcs, Trolls, Tauren and The Forsaken need to speak to upon arriving here. It is Outrunner Alarion (40,32) who sets you on the road to SMC with the quest Slain by the Wretched. You will need to reach level four in your original start zone before speaking to her. You will only have missed out on six uber-noob quests, or seven if you include the level one Report to (Class Trainer). Thereafter, you will be able to tackle level-appropriate content.

Speak with Lanthan Perilon on Sunstrider Isle; he is standing close to the path running west away from the Sunspire.

Description

You are to report to my assistant, Lanthan Perilon. He will instruct you on what needs to be done next. While we here at the Sunspire will continue to rein in the Burning Crystals, you will be focused on a more pressing matter concerning Falthrien Academy. Lanthan will explain fully when you speak to him.

Simply walk west of here along the path, and you should see him standing close by.
