The NPC interaction associated with this quest:

Players turn the corner in Oribos and come face to face with "The Al'ley Cat".

Al'dalil says: Ah, you have arrived.
Al'dalil says: I am Al'dalil, a humble collector of artifacts, here to present you with an opportunity.
Al'dalil says: So'leah of Cartel So seeks to acquire a dangerous relic. It would benefit us both if she did not.

Anyone know if there is a pre-req to pickup this quest? I don't see it available when I speak to the NPC.

I present Tazavesh: The Veiled Market Storyline. This Storyline have 9 Quests. After complite this Storyline You will be able to fly to zone wher is enternece to dungeon Tazavesh, the Veiled Market.

Quest Name:	Start and description
1 The Al'ley Cat of Oribos	Start this quest from Host Ta'rela 67 50 in Oribos. You need to go to speak with Al'dalil 56 30
2a Insider Trading	Speak with 4 NPC in order: Overseer Ta'readon 63 67, Emissary Ba'silk 47 72, Zo'sorg 34 57 and Foreman Au'brak 40 32.
2b Things Best Kept Dark	You need to get Cartel So Shipping Manifest, Go to 38 23 first pick up scrolls they are on chest, then kill NPC then pick us scroll from his body.
4 Seeking Smugglers	Fly to Revendreth to speak with Ta'nla the Identifier 51 82.
5 Above My Station	First step in to portal that will move you to Bastion then move to Bounty Hunter Ta'oku 32 32.
6 Dead Drop	Fly to 36 32 and enter cave, Now you need to fight with Prototype Aquilon take 50% his HP down then jump on him. When You will fly on him Use skills 1-3, Al'dalil will say what skill You need to use. After few correct he will take you to base.
7 Coins for the Ferryman	Fly to Oribosand go to 29 66 Ta'meri.
8 The Veiled Market	Speak with Ta'meri to take you to Tazavesh, the Veiled Market. then speak with Zo'mezal 84 47
9 Tazavesh: Raiders of the Lost Artifact	You need to kill So'leah. You can do it in 2 ways: - Go Dungeon on N, HC or M but you need to kill all to get to last boss ( not many ppl are doing this - Do M+ Tazavesh: So'leah's Gambit I done 2nd option. Quest have auto finish after killing of NPC.

Okay, so there are a fair few posts here all pretty much asking the same question:

"Is there a pre-requiste for this questline?"

According to Wowpedia, the only pre-requite is that your char be level 60, but given the second in the chain has the NPC involved mentioning that your reknown will be useful in obtaining the information he requires. I do not think this was mentioned coincidentally given that reknown is a huge part of Shadowlands content. Given that this quest was added in 9.1, most of you who played through upto this point doubtless have stacks of reknown already. Chances are that those of you who are level 60 by the time you see this NPC offer the quest are also radiating reknown.

Additionally, one of the mobs you have you fight early on is a dude who is pretty tough to solo, especially with his skills - I doubt a fresh 60 could survive easily, if at all.

Pretty sure access to the night market (another requirement fo this chain) requires completion of the main storyline too (can't be certain though)

Regarding the last quest in the chain - this is a dungeon. For ease of reference, you can just go in the dungeon finder, and select to fight the last few bosses for this quest. Incidentally, there is a lot of confusion regarding this dungeon, it is not a forced Mythic, it depends on what you have your dungeons set to. For me, I did this on Heroic using the app, so there might not be a normal version though

It would be interesting to see either if a level 60 by some other method, and so has no reknown is offered this quest.

If you use Threads of Fate to skip all the story then the first part of this questline is unavailable. You will instead skip directly to Seeking Smugglers from the guy in the back hallway just near the Innkeeper.

Don't know why no one has mentioned this anywhere, but to those who don't have a quest from the Host Ta'rela, go around the corner behind her to Al'dalil and see what quests are available. The quest you're currently on the page of,The Al'ley Cat of Oribos, is just a breadcrumb quest to point you to Al'dalil who should have either two quests:

Or the single questSeeking Smugglers.

All 3 of these are part of the Tazavesh: The Veiled Market unlock chain.
