What is this? Some kind of joke? repeatable and spammable quest for meager 25g? I thought it was part of a quest chain...

Triggered when the Torghast Gather Anima Embers calling is up. No idea why when Maw and Torghast are not at all the same thing that you would be doing anyway. The first time this came up it had named npcs from Teldrassil, but this time it's just generic souls. Not worth doing for 25g.

This repeatable quest is unlocked by completing two other quests. The Lost of Teldrassil is triggered when you accept the calling quest Anima Salvage. It must be completed before the calling quest is handed in or expires. The follow up quest leading to this one is From a Dark Place.

Both quests and this one reward 25g74s each. On the second completion of No Wisp Left Behind, Ysera offered no further quest. Not sure what the point of all this is, but it's possible these quests unlock a future quest line or access to some other reward.

1ST UPDATE: No Wisp Left Behind isn't a sure thing. My druid did it twice before Ysera stopped offering it, but my hunter wasn't able to get it at all, even though I followed all the same steps on the same day on both characters, who are both at Renown level 24. It's probably because my druid is further along in the Torghast campaign (Signs of the Lion).

2ND UPDATE: Just acceptedAnima Salvage and this quest popped up for my hunter but not my druid. It seems these three quests can proc in any order, or not at all. Still no obvious purpose except that they count toward Soulkeeper's Burden.

Not entirely sure what the point of this quest is other than playing savior to the Night Elf souls that are in the Maw. 25g for what seems like an otherwise repeatable quest triggered by the Anima Salvage Covenant Calling quest.

I wouldn't have minded doing all three at once (this quest was preceded by The Lost of Teldrassil and From a Dark Place) but the repeated back and forth to the Maw is weird and repetitive.

Also I love being told by the NPCs what a horrible person I am for a pre-patch event I had nothing to do with... yay. :/

it seems this isn't actually a repeatable quest, just theres 2 identical quests, one of which follows the other. the other is found at No Wisp Left Behind

there doesn't seem to be any follow up to the second, all the npc's from both are just generic, and cant be seen elsewhere in the heart of the forest, so as far as i can tell, they serve no purpose, not even to add flavour

I've had this every week for multiple weeks now on my main (who's done the rest of the quest line).

While it does seem a little disappointing that there isn't more story to it (yet!), 1 thing I am happy about is that the souls to be rescued also count for the weekly renown quest (to gather souls).

Also, bonus, unlike the normal souls for the renown quest, these wisp souls DO NOT 'cost' any 'eye of the jailer' points (normal souls count 100 points to your daily 5000 before you have to make a run for it >.< ).

I tend to only do the maw once a week to gather the renown souls and do the weekly quests from venari ... and have begun doing these wisp souls first, as they don't add anything to my eye score (which when you're looking for 15-20 of them, that's 2 whole bars of eye alone, before any kills or objectives etc >.< these cut that down in half!)

I do really hope they add more to this quest line though... and/or just make this a specifically marked 'weekly' quest with some better rewards (some anima would be nice blizz... )

Update: Seems I've stopped getting this every week since 9.0.5 hit... Shame, it really helped cut down my eye score... :(

A month before DF drops and not only does the quest still persist, but it goes nowhere and there's no explanation. Good job, blizz.
