To collect Anima you need loot rares and complete world quests.

I gain 15% after loot a rare Executioner Aatron.
More 35% after loot another rare Amalgamation of Light.
And 55% after complete the world quest Trashin' the Camp.

For those of you wondering, it counts Anima when you collect it - not when you add it.

for those who are stuck and no anima collected counts towards the progress: i was stuck at 10/1000 did several world quests and other things that give anima, while doing those i was on the third tutorial mission of the covenant mission table, now after i finished this mission it started counting again, i finished 1 dungeon quest and got over 700/1000

It wasn't counting, at least I don't think it was for me either.

I didn't have the quest set as to track though. After doing that it seemed to work correctly. Give that a try and see if it fixes the bug for you.

If you keep this Q from previous week (I was slow with getting anima) then you don't get the Q for current week. Seems so.

The way I usually go about getting this done quickly:

250 anima from the weekly world boss

350 anima from the weekly dungeon quests (the dudes below the inn place in Oribos)

400 anima from 4 Maldraxxus WQs (they usually award 100+ anima each, may look around for other 100+ anima quest if that's not the case for you.

Be careful if you have your bags full you wont get credit. Even if you later retrieve it by mail.

This quest is not auto-canceled upon a new game week. So if you were sorry that the anima would go nowhere, you can continue to collect anima after.

At max renown the quest awards 1600g.
If you pick the quest at less than max renown, the gold reward will be much lower. But once you reach max renown, the gold reward will change. You don't have to cancel and redo the quest again for that to happen.

If you reach max renown before handing out the quest it will display the original reward of a bit of gold and a renown level, but it will actually reward the amount of gold it does when you are at max renown, so if this situation happens to you just hand the quest without any worry, you will get that juicy amount of gold.

Right, here's the gig: we need anima. Not just a bit or a pinch, but a lot. See, anythin' worth doin' can't be done without anima. Not in the Shadowlands. Not if we are gonna fix this mess Denathrius got us in. So, we need your increasin'ly resourceful self to beg, borrow, steal, nick, burglarize, pulverize, pirate-ize, earn, swindle, or otherwise become the source of a great charity of any anima you can get. Bring it to me, an' I'll stock our coffers, as it were, so you can put it to use.
