How to do To Serve Spriggan:

low Sicklethorn Slicer mob hp to under 35%
use Croaking Bag on the mob (it will turn into a frog)
release the frog in your bag Bagged Frog
do it until you complete the world quest

After you collect the frogs you need to go to 40, 52 and feed them to The Craw.

World Quest: To Serve Spriggan - Spriggan fed to the Craw .
You capture wounded Sicklethorn Slicers and go to 40.39 , 52.85 and use extra action button to feed the little ones to the bird called The Craw.

The spriggans are NOT shared. Only one person can get/loot the spriggan.

So please, if you see someone already fighting a spriggan don't be rude and come up and bag it.

EDIT: so with the release of the SL meta achieve this WQ is once again fun as max level toons do it for anima. Please use the Soft Foam Sword and stop trying to mass-tag these mobs and inadvertently killing them, which is useless for the WQ

Hi all

On This WQ You need to do:

1. Get mobs Sicklethorn Zapper or Sicklethorn Zapper to 35% and use on them Croaking Bag ( Will be on your extra bar ) You need 10.
2. Move to 40 52 there will be The Craw When you will come close your extra bar will change to Throw Frog use it You need to do it 10 times.

This WQ i like why ? xD You can go and steal from others players xD i done twice xD Sorry for that :P.

If you happen to lose your bag to collect the little fwogies. All you have to do is leave the world quest area and walk back into it. This happened to me twice while questing. Re-entering into the world quest zone will spawn the bag.

Slicers and Zappers both work with the bag. Just use the item when they're below 35%.

Finding The Craw for those without coordinates:

In the quest area is a pool. Look to the waterfall that flows into the pool. Climb to where the waterfall flows from.

It flows from The Craw.

There, now you found her without coordinates. (The Craw is a large, glowing golden crane.)

How To:

Drop the quest mobs to lower health, appears to be 33 40% (thanks @Kanegasi for testing)
Use the bag to capture the mob
You can gather all 10 if you like - just fill the bag.
Go to /way 40.44 52.84` what you are looking for is a big white crane with hints of yellow/gold (larger than most) located in a pool about 10 yards off the path.

This may help:

/tar The Craw

Other tips:

The mobs around trees do not appear to be social (they do not pull together)
Only one person can capture a mob; please do not take from others - not cool.

Anyone else think it's weird we're out collecting walking, talking..dudes and then suddenly they're just nothing more than 'frogs' in our bags when we feed them? Having an existential crisis o.O

At least please let us bag the corpses, these things die waaay too fast, I have to dismiss pet and just auto attack to have any chance of doing it within the window, then, someone often swoops in and kills it anyway.

If you don't know how many you collected, you can check the number of Bagged Frogs in your inventory.

Whoever designed this idiotic quest needs to be fired from Blizzard, because:
1. Other people can "steal" mobs from you (click on the bag faster than you);
2. Other people can kill off your mobs.

The problem for me is that the tally you see for the quest, 0/10 spriggan fed to Craw...doesn’t start to tally until you actually start feeding the Craw. So you might be tempted to think that you haven’t actually bagged any of the little buggers at all. I’d also suggest finding yourself a quiet corner of this setting to bag your spriggan as there will be plenty of competition in the middle ground. These critters aren’t shareable.

This is Blizzard paying homage to an old 1962 Twilight Zone episode called "To Serve Man".

An alien race comes to Earth, promising peace and sharing technology. A linguist and his team
set out to translate the aliens' language, using a book whose title they deduce is "To Serve Man".
There is a dark twist to the story when the linguist's assistant figures out what the book really is.

This quest just highlights one of the reasons why I detest SL WQ's, don't steal mobs someone is else is working on capturing.

The quest counter (default UI) does not keep track of how many you have captured. Check your bags or go to feed the craw and then the extra action button will show you how many you've captured.

If you are ranged pet class and having trouble with your bag working, its a simple solution you are to far away although the game will not tell you, you are out of range. Just move closer.

Got so confused because I didn't have any extra action bars, had to reload the game 4 times to get the button for the bag to pop up on my screen.

This quest partially reminds me of a Russian story where a soldier captures a bunch of devils in a sack. The version of this story I am most familiar with is from Jim Henson's The Storyteller "The Soldier and Death" episode (aired 1989)

So this quest is terrible if its trainee rotationin Ardenweald.... I had to tag the mob, let the trainee burn it down whilst spaming the action button

On the lighter side...this has to be referencing the Twilight Zone episode - To Serve Man - episode 89 and aired in March of 1962. I watched it two days ago and talk about being taken for a ride! lol

a couple of buggy spots tonight - had a spriggan down and ready to be bagged, but the bag quit working. No lag. Bag started working again but not before I killed it. Then when I had the full 10, when I was feeding the bird, similar thing - on the last one to feed, I clicked on the bag but it wouldn't proc. At one point, the bag had no content number, as though empty, but then it changed to "1". After about 6 times or so, finally worked.

As mentioned below, this gets way harder with good gear. Its hard not to kill them before they can be bagged. There was a group of opposite faction going around one-shotting my spriggans before I could bag them. I don't normally play pvp but it was tempting to go turn it on. I eventually finished it but probably won't do this again. I'm just doing covenant callings now for the gold.

Don't try to do this while you're also doing A Little Pruning. The stag Qadarin will "help" you kill all the spriggans. Lovely, when you finish Qadarin's part, Shandris continues to HELP kill all the spriggans. Sigh.

Now wait a minute. OK, so this is one of those quests where you reduce the health of the mob down to a certain level and then do something to them, in this case, bag them. Great, should be easy enough once you get the hang of it. Except for one thing: WHERE IS THE BAG? I am writing this right after release of the Dragon pre-patch and there were a few bugs so I thought maybe the quest itself was bugged. But then I saw others throwing the frogs to the Craw so I knew it had to be working. There was no quest bag in my bags. There was no clue in the comments as to how you get the bag. But I am not new to WoW and realized that some quests place a quest object in the center of the screen at the bottom. The pre-patch allows you to move your bars anywhere you want and I have mine in the center of the screen on the bottom. Sure enough, when I moved them I found the bag underneath. Don't let this happen to you, I was pulling my hair out until I found the solution to my bag problem.

If you're having problems overkilling the spriggans at lv70, use the Soft Foam Sword toy - it takes trivial mobs down to 10% hp where you can bag them stress-free.
