To complete Who Devours the Devourers? you need combine 5 Resonating Anima Motes into a Resonating Anima Core and use to close the portals.

Resonating Anima Motes drop from normal mobs around the quest zone or if you prefer elites drop Resonating Anima Core.

Portals coordinates (Devourer Rifts closed):

No real need to party up as suggested by the quest (3 player) as the normal monsters drop the items just avoid the elite Devourers. Or as the items say use them when combined to reduce their health by 50% and attacks done to them by 200% but not really needed mostly.

Combine the 5 x Resonating Anima Mote then right click the Resonating Anima Core in your inventory to create a target reticule which you aim just under a rift to close it.

Hi all

On This WQ You need to closed 5 Devourer Rifts. To do it You need to have Resonating Anima Core You can get them from rare mobs or create from 5 Resonating Anima Mote.
When You will be next to rift use Resonating Anima Core under it to close. From Rifts are coming out mobs is good to do it in party is going faster.

NOTE: If you are in a raid group, you will not get credit and the rifts will not close. You need to be in a PARTY! When using group finder, the most people you can have is 5 in a party. Don't convert to a raid like I did and mess everything up lol.

Not sure if anyone else was having this problem, but these guys seemed to be able to see right through my stealth even though none of them had the eye icon indicating they could. They kept just charging after my stealthed kitty out of nowhere. Stealthers beware.

Every rift has a Ravenous Gorger protecting it. The gorgers drop Resonating Anima Core which you will need to cast from your bag on the rift to close it. You can also cast the anima core on the gorgers to give them a debuff that causes them to take 200% damage from your hits. You'll need that because Gorgers are a tough fight. So try to cast the anima core so that it hits both the rift and the gorger.

But don't attack the first gorger you see when you get to this zone. Instead, look for packs of Ravenous Blightwing and start downing them. That's a much easier fight. They will occasionally drop Resonating Anima Mote. Once you have five of those, combine into an anima core and look for your first rift to close. But make sure you are also fighting a gorger when you close that rift, because he's going to drop your next anima core.

Another absolutely terrible quest, especially if you're stealther. They seem to be able to see you stealthed sometimes, no idea why. Again, another quest where you don't know if it's full of bugs or just badly designed.

On my rogue I spent almost all my time in combat even after using Vanish.

Basically if you kill the elites you seem to get at least one Resonating Anima Core, sometimes more.

If you kill the normal mobs they may or may not drop Resonating Anima Mote, which you have to combine as 5 to get one Resonating Anima Core

So even though others say you don't need to do it in a group, I'd say you should.

Kind of amazing this only counts as 25% towards A Call to Ardenweald, I think it should be at least 50%

I had trouble using the anima cores to weaken the elites. When you use the item in your bag, it gives you a green target cursor to throw the item. If the elite is moving around, the target might not land on it when you click.

I wasted several anima cores this way, the consolation prize being that when I eventually did kill the elite it dropped another anima core.

When you successfully land the anima core on the mob, then the mob will have a debuff called Planar Dissonance.

Why are there glowing bushes during this world quest, and why are they marked on the map the way herbs and mining sources are?

An easy way of doing this, and if you are a stealth class (in my case a feral druid) and if you don't feel like fighting a bunch of the Ravenous Destroyers, or aren't in a group,:

Kill the Ravenous Leechwings. They are all over the place and are easy kills and I was getting a pretty high drop rate for the Resonating Anima Mote. I was able to get 25 very quickly within just a minute, which makes 5 Resonating Anima Cores.
Stealth to a spot away from everyone from which you can throw that at the rifts to close them. This is even easier if you are 45 renown and can fly.

This might have been nerfed, I killed the Ravenous Gorgers with my new lvl60 Warlock pretty easily. They drop a couple of the Anima Cores (put it on your bar) so you only need to kill 2 or 3 of the Gorgers to get enough cores to close the rifts.

edit : ... looks like I just got lucky ... just killed 10 of them to get 3 cores ... ffs

I don't care if someone thinks it was "nerfed" I consider it still pretty strong considering that foes are everywhere, the rifts you're aiming for spontaneously generate the big guys, and

ugh

the fact that I had eight in my bags was destroyed when I died.

I don't even care that it's a rep multiplier this week for sign of the emissary; I have better grinds to do if I want to do a grind.

got there with 8 min to go. Did it before, but forgot the details. Stood in the rift and the glowing bushes - not interactive. Looked all over for something, and thought it would take too much time whaling on the gorgers. Mousing over the gorgers and blightwings gives no indication of use. Came here to get a clue and now it's over. Wish Blizzard would make it easier to figure out what you need to do, especially when the timer is ticking down.

You just have to throw a Resonating Anima Core at the base. You need to be standing pretty close to it.
