Thrall is located on The Floor 6 after defeat the final boss.

FYI if you happen to see Thrall while doing upper or lower Torghast, you can't rescue him. You must be in the quest portion.

If you are here to scope out a strategy- there isn't much. Just focus on the main guy, the Arch Suppressor, and avoid stuff he drops on the floor. It looks like there are additional adds, but they can be ignored. You will see what happens (unless you are melee, then you will kind of hear it and figure it out...)

Torment Chamber: Thrall is currently unable to be completed due to a bug. When you go to floor 3, your character is frozen/stuck right after going down the stairs past the fire traps. Happened to me on three separate runs.

Hi all

Quest you taking from Highlord Bolvar Fordragon 39 68 in Oribos. Go to Torghast to Wayfinder 37 46 and start it. On last floor you will need to kill Arch-Tyrant Zerios then finish 3 mobs to save Thrall. Then go back To Highlord Bolvar Fordragon 39 68 in Oribos to finish Quest.

On Floor 3 you will see video with conversation between Jailer and Sylvanas.

Like everyone else thus far, Thrall is found on the last floor of whatever you run.

Make sure you actually interact w/ the Wayfinder at the entrance of Torghast.

Otherwise the cutscene won't trigger and you won't be able to properly progress.

Just done this this morning on a level 169 BM hunter and it was relatively easy and straightforward, the only thing you have to watch out for is the pools of hurt and the bolts that Zerios shoots, but these are easy to avoid. After killing him you have to take out the three adds that were guarding Thrall, but they are super easy as they are weakened and stunned by Thrall.

Just a warning while doing this quest to potentially save somebody else the trouble/time.
Thrall and the 3 Suppresors can spawn while doing normal Torghast alongside a normal final boss. Might just have been due to me doing it with a friend who wasn't on the quest, but since the final boss was not the Arch-Tyrant the Suppressors retained their 99% reduced damage taken debuff, but it looked like I could save Thrall.
You can't... I killed them after an hour. And now Thrall is just hanging there alone.
Hopefully this comment might save 1 person from attempting to kill the 3 suppressors as well.

Just a comment on my experience with this quest, as I'm under the impression that it might have been different from what some other people experienced.

I went alone, came into Torghast and interacted with the Wayfinder in order to queue for the special instance for this quest. (Being inside, the special instance looked like it was set in the Upper Reaches wing, but I didn't queue for Upper Reaches to get there). At the point where there was meant to be a cutscene, I didn't get a cutscene; instead, my character was frozen to the spot for I guess the duration of how long the cutscene was meant to play out; at first I thought there was something wrong with the game, but eventually my character was able to move again so I just kept going. (I should remark that I had the same experience later while completing the Kyrian campaign at Ardenweald - there also there was a point where I guess a cutscene was meant to play out, but instead of seeing a cutscene I was just frozen to the spot for a while and then afterward I was able to continue normally).

Anyway, for the Thrall quest, at the final boss I just fought the boss himself and not the three guards who were restraining Thrall. After defeating the boss, Thrall was free, and the three guards were all alive but with very low health, and they were all incapacitated under what looked like some thunder spell (that I guess thematically was meant to have been cast by Thrall, as he's a shaman). I didn't need to attack or defeat any of the guards; instead Thrall said something like "let's get out of here," so we left the instance. I then ported to Oribos and was able to hand the quest in normally.

I read on here that some people needed to defeat the three guards but I didn't have this experience.

TLDR version: If you don't use the shard before entering, you won't be able to do the quest no matter what your quest log says.

Back story: I planned to do the quest run after a normal run, so I didn't use the shard. As soon as I zoned in, my quest log checked off the shard step as complete anyway. Ok whatever, I went on my merry way, ran the floors, killed the final boss (Goxul). The quest boss Arch-Tyrant Zerios wasn't there. The three suppressors were there and I could attack them, but with no effect due to the reduced damage debuff. They ignored me and I couldn't rescue Thrall.

I am extremely frustrated by how Blizzard has chosen to timegate this questline for no reason. Not that we're only getting one part per week, but that if you missed doing a part one week, you can't catch up the next week. There is absolutely no reason for this. I have been able to do each part each week, but my wife wasn't able to get to Torghast last week, so now we are permanently separated on our questline progress unless I let myself get behind to match with her. There has been NO indication that this would be the case or that we'd have to keep up, as everything else (except the specific weekly renown quests) has been able to be caught up on, including the covenant campaigns!

I completed the quest "Lest the Trail Go Cold" but Bolvar did not give me this follow up quest. Is this a bug?

The timegates have been removed from Twisting Corridors questline as of today's (1/5/21) Reset.

Just wanted to throw in my 2 cents that I got & finished the quest Lest the Trail Go Cold right after weekly reset (Jan 5), but had no follow up. About 16 hours later (before daily reset), I got this quest. After completing this quest, I got the next followup.

So I think:
1) They implemented some sort of catchup mechanic, finally. (I was a week behind before this week.)
--Per Blizzard Jan 5th hotfix: "Removed some of the weekly delays between certain Bolvar Fordragon Torghast storyline quests."
--And me getting 3+ quests this week from Bolvar.
2) The followup is a bit buggy / may be on a hidden timer?
--Per me not getting the followup immediately yesterday, but did get it less than a day later.
--I was doing raid runs all day, so while I zoned out, never actually logged out-- so perhaps try completely exiting & relogging if the followup isn't showing up?

The weirdest thing happens when I click on the Wayfinder and enter the scenario (I tested it twice). I see the black orb and choose the benefit. Then after about 10 seconds or so I get kicked out of the scenario. No warning, I just wind up back at the Wayfinder.

Edit: On a different character, I just got kicked out of a Horrific Vision after about 15 seconds so clearly there is something wrong with the realm (Chamber of Aspects)...

This is the same floorplan every time. It's a very simple floor plan, with very simple mobs so it's a pretty fast run.

You won't get as many buffs as usual but don't worry about it, even the end boss is pretty easy.

I'm guessing Blizz made it super easy because they knew the next quest will suck. :)

The funniest part to me is watching the interaction between The Jailer and Sylvanas. He's super huge and Sylvanas doesn't make it up to his knee, it's hard to imagine two beings like that working together. This story really doesn't add up much, hopefully it will at the end.

For anyone struggling to pickup this quest, or one of the quests in this line:

I had done the quests in this line up to this one on my Paladin, then starting working through it on my Druid. Upon doing the quest before this one (Lest the Trail Go Cold) I couldn't grab this so I switched back to my Paladin and turns out I already had picked it up on there.

I'm having trouble with this. On some floors, I spawn in and there's nothing but complete blackness. I reload the game but the blackness is still there. It seems like the only way to fix the black is by dying. I'm frustrated because I keep losing my lives on fixing a black screen and I'm running out of them.

Edit: I think I found a fix. If you go into your graphics settings and turn everything down then your sight should come back.

According to WoWpedia, this whole quest chain was removed in patch 9.1.0 so you can safely igore this, and it's associated quests:
