I tried to do it all over again, and it still doesn't work. It says that we need to recover the medallion from Kel'Thuzad while he is the person helping us. Hopefully, this will be fixed soon.

I managed to complete this. I looked around the area, and there was a portal in a totally different area that ported me up to Kel'thuzad. I killed him and finished the quest.

Was able to finish this on Torgasth beta realm, portal to kelthuzad is a bit badly seen, but its right on the spot where you help kill big boy on the ground.

15-09 Still bugged

After completing stage 2, I got stuck on Draven's back. After relog I was back at Necropolis but Draven was still there and I could mount him again to clear the skies. When clicking on other NPC and getting down to Kael'thas I couldn't talk to him to continue with stage 3.

How to do The Medallion of Dominion:

accept the quest outside Sinfall /way 27,4, 40,4
enter on the red portal
do all stages until complete the quest
return the quest inside Sinfall

Stage 1: Taking the Necropolis.
Kill Adept Necromancer until obtain the information.

Stage 2: To the Skies!
Interact with General Draven and use your abilities to kill 30 enemies.

Stage 3: A Signal From the Ground.
Speak with your allies on the ground about how to proceed.

Stage 4: Reanimating Your Allies.
Interact with Anima Crystal to reanimate 12 Allies.

Stage 5: United in Battle.
Defeat Maw Infernous. Use your action button Call General Draven for do it more easy.

Final Stage: The Medallion of Dominion.
Enter on the portal located near to Baroness Draka and defeat Kel'Thuzad.

Reward: Battle Gargon Vrednic.

As 11-05-2020, I couldn't finish the first part of the scenario because I didn't have Kael with me, making it impossible to extract the information from the Adept Necromancer.
I had to die and respawn for him to appear. Exiting scenario didn't make him appear.

1/12/2020 - Quest is bugged. Adapt Necromancers wont die, they stay at 1hp.

I think there was a cinematic in the end that the game skipped over because one second I was fighting kel'thuzzad then the next I was ported back to Sinfall with the quest completed. My addon to skip cinematics wasn't on either. I did encounter that bug in the beginning where I had to exit the scenario cause Kael'thas wasnt with me

Okay so as of 13th Jan this is still sort of bugged. First time I tried, I couldn't kill anything. It just stayed on 0.0% health. So, I let the stuff kill me and do it again, low and behold Kael'thas pops up and the quest works properly.

During Stage 1, if you do not have Kael'thas Sunstrider with you then you will not be able to kill the Adepts. Relogging fixed the issue for me.

This quest is still bugged as of Jan 12th reset day. First stage I couldn't interrogate any of the necromancers, they would stay at 1hp. Leaving the room through the mirror and re-entering spawned Kael'thas which then let him interrogate them. Unfortunately the mobs would still get bugged up in the air floating after me auto-attacking sometimes as well.

Eventually after that step all was seemingly smooth, went through the next few stages without incident. On the last stage however I went from weakening Kel'thuzad to teleported back to the top of Sinfall with my completed quest. I'm assuming it just jumped an entire cutscene or sequence where we confront Kel'thuzad which is rather unfortunate. I was looking forward to seeing how that situation resolved after all the campaign buildup for getting the Medallion of Dominion back. Hopefully they fix this quest soon.

If you enter the scenario and Kael'thas isn't with you, just leave and rejoin to make him appear. Then when you get the Adept Necromancers to 50% HP Kael'thas will interrogate them.

Rewarded me with a Raid Finder level weapon token. Not sure if this is because my weapon was horrible, or if it's for everyone. Highest level raid defeated on this character was LFR. Not sure if tokens vary in level.

The quest bugged at the beginning of Stage 2 when you are suppose to mount General Draven and fly around. He just stood there all sparkly and I couldn't interact with him. I had to re-log in order for it to work. The rest of the quest line was fine and the cinematic did trigger at the end (as of 9pm PST Jan 12).

During Stage 1 in the scenario, if you do not wish to jump down, there is an object on a pedestal near the wall. Upon mouseover it will show tooltip "Scroll of Teleportation" at /way 74.9, 32.2. It will transport you downstairs in between two more Adept Necromaner to finish objective.

Bugged for me on stage 2, was not allowed to jump on Draven, restarting did not fix it.

Is there supposed to be a cinematic after you hand in the quest? My character froze in place and could not move, just like what happened with the end of fight with Kelthuzad when I did it and the cinematic there didn't play either.

I loved Kael's reaction to Draven when he says they are heading back to Revendreth before Kael could kill KT.

Also, I received a raid finder weapon token as a reward in addition to mount & renown.

It's really annoying how a dual wielder gets a token for one weapon (so still needing one more weapon) while a class that wields a 2 hander gets a token for a 2 hander. Definitely not equal!

As of today, 1/18/21, was able to complete the scenario with no bugs, glitches, or hiccups!

Campaign progress in Quest Log now shows Venthyr Campaign 8/9: "Continue the campaign by accepting the quest "Mirror to Maldraxxus" in Sinfall." That quest is the predecessor to this one; pick it up from Prince Renathal. It is completed with Laurent atop Sinfall (same level as the Ember Court parties), beside Kael'thas Sunstrider and General Draven. General Draven offers The Medallion of Dominion, which is completed in an instanced scenerio (walk thru the mirror to begin). It rewards choice between Mystic Anima Spherule (LFR ilvl 187) or Thaumaturgic Anima Bead (LFR ilvl 187) and well as +1 Renown and the Battle Gargon Vrednic!

You will also complete Covenant Campaign achievement and be Venthyr Campaign 9/9! Congratulations!

Just did this. Be careful, some of the cauldrons are deep enough that you will get stuck and won't be able to get out.

So, as of 2/22/21, this quest is STILL buggy as hell. I walked through the mirror, and while Kael'thas was with me, I didn't get any of the banter at the beginning to tell me what to do, and Draven just hung around his starting position near the mirror. I managed to figure out by accident that bringing enemies to half health would cause Kael'thas to interrogate them and was able to complete stage 1. Kael'thas then commented about Draven approaching, and Draven flew down from the window to land. He was highlighted, but I was unable to interact with him at all. (The Draven up by the mirror was still there, too.)

So, I exited the mirror and relogged. So far, so good. At least I got the beginning banter and Draven flew away this time. Time to see how the rest of this goes. :P

Well, I've made it to stage 2. I thought it bugged out again, as I wasn't able to click on Draven after he and Kael'thas spoke. However, after a bit of a delay, Kael'thas teleported away and I can now click on Draven.

I was able to complete the scenario with no further issues after relogging, so if anyone else is having issues, I recommend giving that a try.

completely buggy. When I died it locked me out and I had to do a lost character ticket. 2nd attempt worked fine. Don't rush in stage 1 to make sure that the subjects can get questioned properly.

As of 3/6/2021 -

I had the bug where General Draven was not able to be interacted with at the start of Stage 2.

If you use Door of Shadows to get on top of the green platform behind him that looks like it's giving off green smoke and try to jump off of the Necropolis, he will automatically trigger to catch you and start the aerial combat portion. No need to click him, just take a leap of faith and big bad gargoyle dad will show you that you're safe in his trust fall exercises.

In the final combat you will you will get Dark Weaver and Soul Weaver adds. They are more serious about killing you than !@#$% Kel'Thuzad. Kill them immediately or they will kill you.

And stage one of this mission chain is still fully bugged. I could interigate the first 3 adapts up on the upper level, but on going down to attack the rest, the prince becomes useless, and the NPC's become immortal at 1 HP remaining. Not sure why Blizzard has not bothered to repair this mission chain properly yet.

If you get stuck on starting Phase 2, use your "Door of Shadows" ability to port up the small ledge near the green pool behind the general dude. Try walking off the ledge and the general will pick you up.

I thought I found a bug on this one, but it was apparently self-inflicted. The very instant you kill the 30th enemy in phase 2, it takes you back to your default taskbars.

I happen to be on my mage and had Teleport: Orbios bound to key #1. Apparently, after I killed the 30th enemy I was still spamming the #1. While Draven was carrying me down, I ended up teleporting myself to Orbios, ending the scenario.

Soo... Be careful of whatever is on your action bar, especially on #1. You'll probably cast it after you kill your 30th enemy. Don't be an idiot like me and teleport yourself or hearth or something with whatever is in keybind #1!

Stage 2 is one of the better flying vehicle quests i've done. Was actually fun zipping from pack to pack and cleaving them down.

I went in with a partner. We got stage 1 handled. Stage 2 went OK i suppose. The wrap up, she got killed and I finished it up.

Which left her both dead in a phased space and the spirit-death box telling her she has to re-enter the scenario to get her corpse.

Needless to say, now she's using the Character Unstuck service.

Bugged in 10.0 (Dragonflight pre patch) after 3 seperate attempts the final cutscene refused to play. I thought maybe I was killing Kel too fast but even inching his hp down. At around 10% the npcs swap around and I am rooted in place like a cutscene was going to play but decided not to. I am on a dracthyr evoker unsure if it just just bugged for them.

This quest got my character to be permanently stuck.
The cinematic fails to play. The character cannot move. You cannot use your stone to get out of it.

I used the service "Character Stuck" which fails : you cannot login into the character after doing that ("A character with that name already exists")
After 5 minutes, you can log again and you find yourself stuck at the very same place.

"Character Stuck" doesn't work to fix this problem.

So you have to open a ticket and cannot play your character until a game master does something.

Bugged at end of scenario.
"Killed" KT and where the cutscene was supposed to play, instead was frozen in place and pacified - could not hearth out, character unstuck didn't work.
Eventually just got kicked out of the scenario - end of cutscene maybe? or just timed out at end of dungeon?

On 7 of 11 alts, I had the starting bug with no Kael'thas. I fixed this by exiting and re-entering the area via the mirror.

On 6 of 11 alts, the scrolls of teleportation could not be interacted with, so falling damage was unavoidable on a few of the runs.

On 9 of 11 alts, killing the necromancers too fast caused all manner of problems completing the quest. Kael'thas seems to be on a sloppy timer for polling opponent health. Sometimes he started his questioning after the opponent was dead and all was well, other times he'd just stand there like a useless escort npc.

On 3 of 11 alts, I had the cannot interact with General Draven bug. Door of Shadows to the platform and went skydiving without a parachute, this broke Draven loose and he saved me from what woud have been a rightfully deserved falling death.

On 11 of 11 alts and my main, I had the end cinematic fail to play. A quick logout and reload fixed the locked in place bit, but I still could not interact with anything. Eventually it boots you to the curb and you end up back in Sinfall.

In summation, this quest has been buggy as a dumpster at a fruit processing plant since release and has never been - and likely never will be - properly fixed.

EDIT: As of 10.2.5, having just marched yet another alt through the Venthyr sanctum, this quest is still bugged.

If you out gear the content, don't whack him to hard. It will bug out and you will become pacified in the room with all the NPCs. But I waited around for about 5 mins and it unstuck itself and teleported me back to Revendreth.

I killed kelthuzad in 1 hit, cutscene skipped and I as just stuck there unable to do anything. I was a shaman so I could use Astral Recall (mage can probably teleport) Then I still couldn't move in the inn until I logged out.
The turning in the quest in Sinfall, the medallion is in the wrong spot and the camera zooms in on Renethal's empty hand.

If you are stuck after killing KT in the Final Stage, just log out and back in. I was back in Sinfall after logging in :)
