Grab a bomb out of the box and throw it at airborne cargo birds and collect loot. Party members can collect loot for quest.

What a moronic quest. Typically there is no information to how you should do this quest, so coming to wowhead seems mandatory. It makes you wonder if Blizz are getting a kickback from the advertising sold on here. They could at least put 1 line of quest information in the game ffs.

This WQ @#$%ing sucks.

This is one of those that's designed to make everyone hate each other and play like completely selfish &*!@#$%s.

WHY DOES BLIZZARD KEEP DOING #$%^ LIKE THIS?

Here's the gameplay loop for this WQ:

Get some kills. "This is easy," you think to yourself.

Then you notice you haven't seen a single one of the items you need to collect. Then you spend 15 minutes watching other people beat you to the stupid #$%^ing boxes, which you need 5 of to complete this crap.

I'm a range DPS. Let me shoot the !@#$ing fliers down my damned self, and leave the crates for the melee people who actually need the help.

Multiple spawn points for those who are asking where the boxes are. Here's an incomplete list I'm sure of where I've found them:

/way 49 24 (under mushroom)
/way 49 23 (on island in goo river)
/way 50 23 (under giant mushroom)
/way 50 22 (just west of mushroom)
/way 51 22 (under small mushroom cluster)
/way 49 19 (in front of Toc the Incessant)

Also a word of caution- if you're doing this in a group, you still need to loot individually, it's not shared completion in the sense that if a groupmate loots the mob you get credit. You have to manually loot it yourself.

Here's to hoping for a hotfix for this one.

This WQ works in a group, 5 people, one enemy down and we all can loot the corpse.

Gettin' Even seems like it should be straightforward, but it's not your usual gathering quest.

Strategy

The joke (?) in Gettin' Even is the meaning of "dropped". "Dropped" doesn't mean Stolen Equipment is looted from the Bonefaced constructs you have to kill. "Dropped" means "dropped out of the sky". Check out the tool tip for Stolen Equipment. It says Stolen Equipment is dropped by Salvage Haulers. These are birds that can only be shot down using Throw Bombs.

Pointless attempting this quest
can't get any throw bombs from the containers.

I see horde players doing the quest so maybe its only alliance players that are nerfed... nothing new there

You cannot complete this quest if you are also on the Necrolord Anima Conductor quest Queens And Future Kings and have requested Twigin's aid, because his wing ability will overwrite the bomb ability even after you loot one.

Took me several minutes of wondering WTF I'm supposed to do to these birds before I worked it out. Just complete the other quest first and then you'll be able to use the bombs.
