Does this have a daily/weekly lockout? I did the quest yesterday fine and it's not popping up today at all

So, it seems the only way to get credit for this World Quest is to Kill Players or Kill the opposing faction's NPCs standing at the Flags. Simply standing on the flags does not give you credit. If you don't get to the bases early enough, you won't ever get to see the NPCs, also the NPCs do not respawn so unfortunately you cannot farm them for credit. So basically if there aren't any opposing faction playing you won't get credit for this world quest.

Im not an expert but i did this and we won, and did 25 horde kills and got 0 reputation at the end. Very sad for me.

*Edit 1* They changed the times to be a bit more random. So the following times may not be correct any longer :(
*Edit 2* FYI: This Does count fo that annoying Quest on the ship in Boralus to kill 25 horde. IMHO - this is by far the easiest way to get that quest off of your ship if you are not a pvp-er!

The PvP battle for the "Battle for Nazjatar" starts at the following SERVER times (my server is CST time):
1:00am, 4:00am, 7:am, 10:00am, 1:00pm, 4:00pm, 7:00pm & 10:00pm

This is Weekly PvP World Quest. WQ only shows up (on your active WQ watch list) during active Battle for Nazjatar. After the battle is over WQ is hidden. If u didn't complete WQ in single battle for nazjatar, WQ % earned are carried over to the next battle for entire week until WQ is completed. Completed % and WQ are reset each week at weekly reset. To have this WQ available, you must unlock nazjatar WQ.

Macro for showing % completed while WQ (questID=56050) is hidden:

Hey,

not sure if anyone reads this, but when filling the Weekly bar during PvP Event: Battle for Nazjatar, you can activate the toy N'lyeth, Sliver of N'Zoth in order to be able to kill the guards of your own faction, which will give you 5% each as well. These do respawn. I usually fly from spot to spot and kill them as soon as they respawn. Pretty helpful when you dont have much time and are in a full win-group with no horde enemies and want to finish during this Event.

This event begins every 3 hours, starting at server reset, and can begin at any time within that hour. So, for most of North America for most of the year (during Daylight Saving Time), it starts during the 11:00, 2:00, 5:00, & 8:00 hours. When we switch back to Standard Time, it starts during the 10:00, 1:00, 4:00, & 7:00 hours.

There are red flags located on the map. Go to those flags and kill the NPCs of the opposing faction to get credit for quest completion. The other ways to get credit are to kill players and I guess there's some toy someone mentioned that will allow you to kill same faction NPCs to get credit. Killing the guards at the opposing faction's base does not give you credit.

I don't see it mentioned here so -- Blizzard changed how Battle for Nazjatar works awhile ago.
It no longer has a fixed time to spawn and will only come up when there's a "good mix of Horde and Alliance in the zone."
For those of us on smaller servers, it likely means that we will never see the event.
