As at August 15th 2018, Siege of Boralus isn't an available dungeon, so you can simply run to Taelia next to the Scouting map and turn it in immediately.

Siege of Boralus was a Mythic only dungeon prior to 8.1 and couldn't be queued for via LFD/LFG.

Post patch 8.1 Siege of Boralus can now be run on Heroic difficulty and is available from the group finder.

The entrance (for Alliance players) is under the Tradewinds Market.

Alliance will need to complete the Jaina storyline up to this quest (available after completing all 3 Kul'Tiran zone storylines) to unlock this dungeon.
Horde will need 7,500 reputation into Honored with the Honorbound faction to unlock this dungeon.

Not sure if intended (assuming not), but at this current point in time it seems to be possible to just turn the quest in without actually doing the dungeon.

I've completed the quest chain, got the "The Pride of Kul Tiras" and the "A Nation United" achievements, but I haven't received this quest. Am I missing a step? Where do I accept this quest? Thanks!

And that's the sound of narrative flow being completely broken.

Putting the end of this entire questline behind a Mythic only dungeon was a dumb idea.

The Balance of Power quest chain was fine being Mythic only because it was something extra and there wasn't any sense of urgency in the narrative.

But this? No. The attack is suppose to be imminent, but oh they'll wait for the player to gear up first. *sigh*

I have finished everything but A United Nation, I have this quest, but as it is suppose to be on mythic level, I can't do it. What is the item level required to open mythics?

A white outline showing the location of the Siege of Boralus dungeon remains on your mini-map as long as Siege of Boralus: Lady Ashvane's Return remains in your inventory. The larger map shows a yellow circle with the number 1. Quest deleted, circles gone.

Note that you can join an existing party, kill just the last boss, talk to Lady Jaina and then complete this quest. I had never been in before and joined a party that was failing on their last boss. I only got to kill the last and I was able to loot the seaweed behind Lady Jaina then tell her to finish the fight. Just handed this in and I can now start A Nation United.

I feel this mythic requirement is quite steep for a main quest line; especially since questline content is targeted at people who play for lore and story, not higher end pve. The mechanics on some of the bosses (especially the last) are no joke either, I barely made it through. I don't know what blizzard was smoking when they made this requirement...

I suspect this will be a requirement to unlock kul Tiran allied race too... that is another demographic that is not known for high end pve...

A friend and i didn't got the quest after doing everything quest, then an friend other finish the questline, got the quest, and when he try to share it, it says that we already did the quest ... wth ?

I find it upsetting that I'm at this point in questing yet I'm not geared enough to even do LFR. Another quest to sit in my log forever.

Well, another story line gated behind Mythic dungeon that many players, like myself, won't continue. Nice Blizzard, seems you fail, once again, to understand your player base. Many players like doing Mythic dungeons. Many players don't like doing ANY dungeons. But, you're oblivious to your player base and figure everyone is a clone and loves all the things your director of game design loves to do.

Well, this clone is NOT interested in seeing your story line to the end since all you can do is gate it behind a Mythic dungeon. I wasn't thrilled to do the three dungeons necessary to get to this point, but at least THEY could be done on normal.

Blizzard, you get an "A+" for story line up to this point. It actually brought a tear to my eye watching as the events unfolded. But you get an "F-" for understanding your player base.

Not everyone likes doing dungeons, not everyone has the need to gear up to Mythic level, not everyone will have the desire to see this story line to its conclusion. Because it's gated behind a Mythic dungeon.

No LFG. Trying to sign up to groups (even 0+) results in "declined", creating a group on my own, then the group gets auto-delisted for "inactivity". WTH!
Abondoned this nonsense thingy.

Have these Blizzard clowns now shifted from mostly braindead to completely brainless? Then they should announce this with a Blue Note:

"We encouraged our developers and game designers to completely stop any intellectual or analytic activities while at work. We found out that this way we can speed up the development process of our next expansion significantly. Since this comes not without noticable quality losses, we reduce the subscription price by 42.628%"

As of 8.1, there is now a heroic version of this dungeon. I have successfully completed this quest doing the heroic version.

The quest also works in the heroic mode of the instance, but the video sequence seems to be played only on mythical.

Probably I’m stupid, but where can I pick up the quest for this dungeon (and hence for the Nation United thingy)?
(I did have the quest in the past, but —since it was some Mythic-only nonsense at that time— I deleted the quest from my log.)

Searched all relevant locations (I think), but no quest.

This is ridiculous. I didn't realise jaina was even there or that I have to interact with her to see my cutscene or get some reward, and now I'm locked out of the dungeon queue until tomorrow. Wtf. Blizzard are such morons.

Even more ridiculous, even though I'm locked to it and the end boss is dead, All the other mobs and bosses are revived, so I can't even run to the end solo.
Another day wasted.
god I hate this game sometimes.

DO NOT DO THIS QUEST WITH PARTY SYNC ENABLED! - the quest gets its state "locked" and you do not get the completion from doing the dungeon. 30 minutes wasted.

Players must realise that Blizzard only listens to "NO LIFERS" and has no interest in casuals, but when it comes to payment Blizzard makes us all pay the same. THIS IS GROSSLY UNFAIR. Those who want to play day and night must pay more. Monthly fee should be according to how much time you play the game for. Casuals like me must be given equal opportunity to acquire top gear without having to play all day every day. We have to work to pay for our young sons and/or daughters to play this game. GIVE US A CHANCE TO ENJOY GOOD GEAR PLEASE.

I completed this quest (ish) cost me 5K gold, but dont ask! Now i it says it's completed and Tailia is in the harbour office with a white question mark, so i cant seem to hand it it or find any info about it! Blizzard suggest abondoning the quest doh!

Shadowlands update:

Just completed this on normal and got credit for the quest. Did it on a ilvl199 prot paladin and it was trivial to solo. Bosses have around 200k HP and due to them being lvl 50 basically all attacks miss, so you take almost no damage.

After I completed this quest, I could not find Taelia in the location marked on the map. The Blizzard support article said that it could be due to a different quest requiring her to be somewhere else, but the only other two quests in my log were from Legion, so that wasn't it. Because I had faction swapped recently, it seemed that I was in some sort of weird limbo state where I never did the Alliance war campaign, but it also would not let me do any of the quests or click the scouting map. After a long search, I found this article, which despite being about a different quest, happened to have the correct location for finding Taelia.

tl;dr if you can't find her, try checking around the corner from the dockmaster (Will Melborne) on the lower level around 75.72, 23.57

I returned to wow after a good bit, and wanted to unlock the kul tiras race, but now at this guest I can see the dungeon is locked for me... and that I need the heart of Azeroth.

Anyone else had to get It too? because when I read the comments, I understand it should be open on heroic for anyone? I probably misunderstood something haha. Maybe someone could explain it to me, why mine is locked?

This was a little buggy for me at first as of today to ask the NPC to complete the dungeon. It didnt pop up right away with the option to skip the dungeon. The npc disappeared right after too. I had to drop the quest and pick it back up again then quickly select the skip option.

To skip the dungeon. I abandon the quest and take it again from Katherine Proudmoore at Proudmoore Keep. After taking the quest, immediately talk again to Katherine Proudmoore and choose to skip the dungeon (the first option)

As of 9.1.5, You can select the option "I entrust you to handle this mission <Skip the dungeon quest>" by talking to her again for the prompt.

Siege of Boralus: Lady Ashvane's Return

Complete the Siege of Boralus dungeon.

Description

If Ashvane thinks we will sit idly by as she attempts a coup, she is sorely mistaken. The citizens of Boralus will fight her to a man. I'll need you on the front lines to aid them, <class>. Go with Taelia to the docks and engage the enemy. With a little luck, we may just make it out of this alive.
