Click the crystal and he will spawn. Was able to solo as a 109 Gaurdian, he did very little damage so a little self heal was enough to outlast him.

Beware, this guy is seriously bugged.

If you die to him (like I did, thinking I could solo it after the earlier comment), he will not despawn. If you try to go back and get to your corpse, he'll re-aggro on you, even in your spirit form which he stands at and spams his yelling. I tried logging out, running away, everything I could think of. Finally I took the rez sickness at the spirit healer... and he started chasing me THERE. I ran. A hunter picked him up not knowing what was going on, and I tried to come back and help her... she ran and I died. At THAT spirit healer, he checkmated me... I was dead, he was there, and there wasn't anything I could do.

I was writing a ticket for help when another hunter came along and pulled him. I rezzed, switched specs, and started healing his pets. With that, we managed to get him down. I couldn't adequately thank the hunter, as he was the other faction.

So... go into this prepared.

20 mill hp. A well geared DH tank was easily able to handle him without any additional heals.

Soloable as a WW Monk

He has two notable abilities and one filler spell.
A small AoE scream that is a pretty fast cast, but is easy to dodge as long as you pay attention.

A DoT that absorbs heals for 8 seconds. However it seemed to get removed whenever it absorbed healing since one Chi wave was enough to remove the DoT on the first tick of healing received, so there is no need to interrupt this.

A filler spell that deals damage. Interrupt this whenever you get the chance because it should be the only thing that deals damage to you.

Fairly Easy. Hits for 120-130k. Can be stunned and interrupted. Might need to bring a friend or two if you aren't well geared but overall he's nothing special

This is bugged for me, I clicked it to put the Dreamleaf in but nothing happened...
EDIT: Abandoned the Q and took it again and it worked.

What a trip!
Reading the comments here, hey I'm geared 844 Druid Kitty.
OMG. I didn't clear adds. He hits very hard, my health so often at almost zero, I would typhoon him and heal myself, around and around he killed me several times. Alive or dead he was there! He chased me over and over, killed me.
I thought I got away, and then again he chased me killed me some more. I even tried to que a group (several did but left), I was dead. Then I accepted the Spirit Healer '75% death sickness and ran away as fast as I could from the area with hime chasing me... I lost him finally.

I finally thought I was safe, I got to Starsong Flight path. A few minutes later 'THERE HE IS!'... Just like a scary movie! And, yes he killed me again. Lucky for me there were others around that could see him and helped me kill him. Take friends... unless you want to experience this.

After reading the above comments, I tried (with no luck) to get a group together to take this beast down. I ended up easily soloing with my level 107 Hunter off-spec BM (only 3 artifact powers unlocked). I used my Counter Shot for his spell which could be interrupted, my turtle pet's Intimidation to interrupt the other spell, and then just the normal BM rotation.

I read some comments before trying him, I am main spec resto but my guardian spec is okay at 854. Anyways I went there and started interrupting as much as I could because one comment said it can hit quite hard, I missed a few and that's when I realized he'd barely hitting me. I stopped interrupting him and honestly didn't use any real CD's just my weapon one. Really easy fight, didn't have to dodge anything. However if I was in feral or resto it would have taken a little long and probably have taken some dmg. Very soloable though!

Update: If you have a tank spec - that is the way to go. I died multiple times trying to solo him dps as a 110 balance druid iLvl 841). Switched to guardian (iLvl 822) and downed him without going below 60% health and using no pots.

He did not follow me to Dal, or to the Class Hall (I ported right after taking resurrection sickness). Pity, too. I was hoping to kite him to Dal.

850 Disc Priest solo'ed pretty easily. Well, duo with Sol as a bodyguard but he didn't do much. Just keep up PW:S on yourself on every cooldown and slog through the damage rotation. Never dropped me more than 20%.

Soloed as an 844 Guardian Druid, although it took a while.

Use Rage of the Sleeper as often as possible; Embrace of the Nightmare will aid with damage and healing (if you have it).
Keep Ironfur up as much as you can.
Skull Bash to interrupt Corrupting Flames.
Mighty Bash (if you have it) to interrupt Nightmarish Roar.
Keep hitting him until he falls over, then spit on his corpse and leave.

Make sure to run through the patch of mist near the crystal and take out the swamp beasts, No need to make this more complicated than it is.

(Seconding that a Disc priest with Sol can solo this easily. I didn't even need to stay out of the AoE Roar.)

So i had to deal with this guy and as others have stated, this guy just keep stalking you, even in death. However, he`s not too strong, so even tho you might not be able to kill him on you own, bring him (just run, don`t worry about him following, he will) to a heavy populated area. There ppl will help you and he`s done in a few seconds,

Easily the most fun I've had in a while.

lvl 94 druid so predictably i died horrendously the first time round (think the opening scene of robo cop) turns out he's still bugged and came after me relentlessly, having pre planned this i took him off down to lorlathil (handy as thats where the quest ends) and some kind soul attacks him for me, someone obviously thought it was a pvp thing and all hell breaks loose and about 50 players just start wailing on each other.

somewhere in the middle of all the numbers flying around and /spit the quest completed itself, didn't even see him go down.

feel slightly bad for the people afking by the flight master.

entertaining bug.

I solo'd with my assassination rogue 890. Simply stopped 2 castings, used Cloak of Shadows and burned him down with my rotation. Fairly easy.

Ezer to solo now. Just buff up, interrupt some, run him around his small area, and burn him down. ilvl 882 MM hunter. w/no pet.

Did this quest tonight, as a lvl 110 Outlaw Rogue, ilvl 892. Had Lillian Voss as my bodyguard, and I popped all my cooldowns. Easily solo'd. The lowest my HP got was 98%.

Did this tonight solo as a level 902 Assassination rogue, it was a complete joke to easily do by yourself. The fight took about 15 seconds to kill him, so unless you have a rather low item level you should easily be able to solo him.

Absolutely trivial as a 903 Resto Druid. Took me about 2 minutes. I should have just used my Balance spec instead.

Solo'ed as a 905 Moonkin - Prydaz renders the entire thing trivial.
I didn't blow cooldowns or even move out of his circle-telegraph, and the Prydaz bubble never popped.

Description

We cannot falter in our crusade against this corruption, <name>.

It is our duty as heroes. As herbalists.

As hero-balists.

Slaying simple satyrs will not do. We must attack their leaders. Bring this fallen herb to Shala'nir, in the northeast. Find Tur'xoran's summoning stone, and place this herb in front of it. Then... rip off his head.
