Kil'ruk the Wind-Reaver gives you the "big reveal" of The Klaxxi during this quest chain which you are given upon reaching exalted:
Kil'ruk the Wind-Reaver says: Wakener, your deeds have earned you the trust of the Klaxxi.

Pretty anti-climactic and disappointing. This actually told me little I didn't already know, and at the end the NPC runs off and I'm wondering WTF is the point of this room and where do I turn in the quest?

The answers are "nothing" and back up top where you picked it up.

Y'shaarj = 'future Raid Boss' - just as we had C'thun in Ahn'Qiraj & Cenarian Circle Rep. in Silithus, so we get Klaxxi Rep. & a 'potential' new Raid in a future patch.

I remember a post a while back along the lines of "C'thun comes back, but stronger"

Apparently you need to complete every single quest in the zone before you can unlock this quest chain, if this quest chain isn't showing up for you maybe you missed a few.

There are four incubating eggs in the room where Kil'ruk the Wind-Reaver takes you. I'm curious to see what will happen, especially now that I know they're involved with the Old Gods.

Don't do this quest for the 489 ring. Do it for the moment of horrifying realization when you realize just what the faction you've ground to exalted is up to.

For any non-super nerds out there this is a Star Wars reference to the chapter between "Empire Strikes Back" and "Return of the Jedi." There was never a movie but it did get made into one of the most awesome Nintendo 64 games ever!

Oh, and you need to be exalted with The Klaxxi and earn the Amber is the Color of My Energy achievement to start the questline for this. Just in case that's what you're really reading the comments for.

Kil'ruk runs away after telling his story. You have to leave the cave and find him at his normal spot outdoors in order to complete the quest.

Based on Kil'ruk's exposition, Y'shaarj was clearly the progenitor of the Sha ("Sha" is even in his name). His "last breath" refers to unleashing them upon the land and "the Seven Heads" refer to the emotion each Sha represents; Doubt, Despair, Anger, Violence, Hatred and Fear.

However, that's only six "heads". Was there perhaps simply a "master head" or is there a Sha left which we don't know about? But I do wonder if this was simply an oversight by Blizzard, as in the in-game story The Seven Burdens of Shaohao, it mentions Shaohao defeating "seven mighty sha" and overcoming seven burdens, even though he only defeats six in the story, the same ones previously mentioned.

This... doesn't seem to make much sense.

The Klaxxi ask you to kill sha stuff left and right, however they also worship where the sha came from.

I don't understand?

For those who have done this quest already on alts, you don't actually need to follow his slowly wandering... self. You can just run straight to the end point at the bottom of the cavern and wait until he, slowly, reaches you.

Or until the next ice age. Which ever comes first.

(The end point is through the giant green sliding door in the tree, down the path into the tree and straight through the circular cavern at the bottom to the far side).

There may have been other reasons that he lead you into the chamber, but what I noticed on my second visit into the room is the back wall. He ends his speech and walk toward the back wall of the chamber. if this is of note. there are carvings on the wall. the middle looks like the body of an Octopus with 3 ember gem eyes. (much like the creature in darkshore before the cataclysm), two more on either side seems to be a continuation of tentacle ends. this might be the old god he talks of, maybe not. also of note are cave like drawing surrounding the floor which seem to look. (to me anyway) like mantid, sha. and a large eye.

May be late to the party but just did this without reading anything about it before hand...

Mentally: first i went BWAH! to the monolog, second i went OHHHhhhh! to the "your gods are not our gods,, we will stand with our gods when they return." 3rd i went AHHHHH! as i looked above him to the carving of his old god... RUN! FLEE! SAVE YOURSELF!

The seven heads of Y'Shaarj- Fear. Anger. Hatred. Violence. Doubt. Despair. All defeated by Shaohao. However, as datamined in 5.3, Shahao returns and talks about the one Sha he failed to slay: Pride. He calls Pride the most insidious and dangerous of Sha. He says his pride cloaked Pandaria in the mists. He thought he was better than the rest of the world, and so he hid his land in the mists. Supposedly, Y'Shaarj will return in 5.3, perhaps by the re-unification of the 7 Sha.

You can complete this quest chain at level 89 ( I did and I have the ring) but alas you cannot equip it till level 90. I thought for sure when I started going after this ring at level 89 several months ago that I could equip it at level 89. What other quest can you complete but not equip the reward till you level up?

Just on a little side note. After several years one of the greatest mysteries is solved!
We get to know the correct pronunciation of Ahn'Qiraj and Azjol'Nerub.

Ahn'Qiraj = ahn-ki-rash
Azjol'Nerub = Ashol-Ne-roob
