Shox'tik was available right away but it seemed the other 2 came after a certain amount of time. Perhaps killing the subjugate's speeds it up.

Shox'tik is available right away. After you kill him the quest tracking on the map changes to show the area where the Mantid subjugates are. When the next named mob spawns map tracking changes to a single point of interest/when he's down the area is shown again. This seems to be purely timebased, so if you already killed 25 mantid just wait for map tracking to change/kill the next named mob.

All of the boss mobs are not gonna be a problem, you will have some help.

Akkolon has a frontal cone you need to avoid.
Shox'tik casts Rapid fire with his crossbow, basically unavoidable damage. Stun if you need to interrupt it.
Manifestation of Terror casts something that you can interrupt, and he makes smokes on the ground that move around and if you stand on it, you will be stunned for the duration that you're stepping on them.

Just a side note, the Klaxxi Augmentation - Battle Hymn will not work for the Subjugates, as they do not give exp.

The three boss mobs spawn near groups of Klaxxi Primes -

Shox'tik is a mantid who spawns at 41.6, 40.0, at the southern end of the questing area. If you are using Raining Blood then stunning it out of its Rapid Fire ability is trivial.

Akkolon is a kuchong who spawns at 44.6, 35.2, across the road from the entrance to the Heart of Fear in the middle of the questing area. Don't get hit by its slam.

Manifestation of Terror is a sha that spawns at 43.8, 29.4, at the northern end of the questing area.

Their spawns seem to be on a timer, as the first of them was already near death when I came upon it and I was forced to wait on the other two. At most, only one will be up at any time, and it takes a few minutes for the next to spawn.

I would use Raining Blood for this as the frequent AoE stuns are very useful. None of the blue Klaxxi Augments are useful. Painkiller might be your best bet since Battle Hymn doesn't work for these mobs, but it doesn't really matter.

As a ranged class, hunter, the only small problem I ran into were when facing the Sha.

Shox'tik was basically tank and spank. He will do his volley, but the damage is nothing to be concerned about.

Manifestation of Terror has a damaging AoE ability where the ground will begin to smoke and getting caught in it will slow you down. He also pulls players back towards him when they are 30+ yards away from him (I got caught just flying passed him on my mount). This can become deadly when he has just cast the smokey ground AoE, because of the damage being done as you're being pulled in and also when trying to get out while being slowed. The damage seems to be less or maybe even zero closer to the center. So stand within 30 yards of the NPC and, when the ground starts to smoke, move in closer.

Akkolon has a 3s cast slash that will damage players in a frontal cone. He will regularly place geysers (orange pools) underneath players. He will do a couple in a short period, but the damage is avoidable if you keep moving out of them for the short duration.

With all these fights you are helping out Klaxxi NPCs, who will do most of the tanking. After you kill one of the boss mobs, the next one will spawn within seconds and a message in chat will announce the arrival of it. If you have quest objectives shown on your minimap, the golden arrow will point you to where the mob is, although they are all in the same general area. The order in which the mobs spawn is random.

Note: When fighting the boss mobs, the spell icon for the Klaxxi enhancement I was using disappeared. It reappeared after the mob was killed and I returned to killing normal mantid.

It seems to me the tuning of the spawn rate is off target. The worst one would be Shox'tik, he seems to spawn every 2 hours. The rest spawned accordingly, but not very fast either.

You will have to wait a bit in order to get the quest completed. But it's worth it in the end.

I started normal with the Quest. Killed Sha and Kunchong and waited quite long for Shox'tik´s Spawn. After near a full Hour i gave up and went do other Things.

According to the Information given in the Comments here, i developed the Idea, that only one of the three named Mobs is active at the same Time.

I tried to verify this by killing the Sha and the Kunchong various times.

I checked the three Positions and find only the Kunchong active. So i killed the Kunchong first and checked the Spawnpoints for the Next - my Hope was indeed Shox'tik, but the Sha spawned first. After killing the Sha i rechecked the Spawnpoints again and Shox'tik spawned.

Maybe this Information is helpful.

On this quest you seem to go into a personal phase.

From my experience:
The Manifestation of Terror was the first spawn at 0/25 Mantid Subjugate kills.
Akkolon was next at 10/25 Mantid Subjugate kills. (Warning received: Akkolon has joined the battlefield)
Finally Shox'tik at 20/25 kills. (Warning received: Shox'tik has joined the battlefield)

Sounds like the cycle of spawning is similar to the 4 (passive aggressive) mini-Bosses in Sethria's Roost...

I got problem with this quest,second day i w8 for Akkolon and he dont spawn dunno what to do,abandon quest and try again or just w8 :(

I was fighting Shox'tik when I fell through the world and was DC'ed. When I got back on, he had despawned. I killed another 25 mantids and looked for him, but no luck. I checked the other bosses, and they were not up either. I will update when with more information when I get it.

After I fell through the world, I started killing mantids, then the boss cycle started over again. I killed the first boss, then shortly after the second boss spawned, then shortly after the third boss spawned.

Ok....this is what I noticed today.....not only will the three mobs constantly spawn on a rotating basis.....the friendly NPC's will also kill the mob with no intervention from you or anyone else.....an easy way to do this is if you have the time.....just hover over the current mob that is up and when the three friendly NPC's get it down to about 300k health.....just swoop in for a killing blow......Manifestation of Terror killed me twice before I noticed what was going on.....hope this helps some out...there is about 2 minutes between one mob going down and the next one spawning....

It seems that only one of the three (Akkolon, Shox'tik or Manifestation of Terror) can be up at any one time - so go kill the others again if you can't find the one you need.

None of the subjugates activate any killing blow abilities, like Victory Rush for Warriors. I tried jumping in a big pack and AoEing them down, but without Victory Rush, I easily died.

Battle Hymn is useless during this quest, since the mobs do not reward XP. Raining Blood is great for the bosses, even post-5.1-nerf.

The information regarding the boss type mobs is spot on.

However, the subjugates posed a problem for me. As a Fury Warrior, I'm used to being able to pull 8-10 mobs at once and killing them basically one at a time and using to keep myself alive. These guys don't give experience though, so they will not trigger the CD of Impending Victory nor the 20% heal that you get.

It also doesn't help that they are packed so closely together that you pull one and you have fifteen on you.

another buggy as hell battle scene in the same vein as Battle for Undercity (though a lot smaller in scale). I don't know why Blizzard keeps insisting on doing these as they are buggy everywhere in the game. The ones for Worgen starting zone are still buggy even though they've been out for awhile now.

Very disappointing too imo. Was looking forward to seeing the Paragons in action and all they do is team up (3 vs 1) on some big mobs and that's it. They don't help you with normal mobs they just attack their designated big guy and when he's dead they stand there and wait for him to respawn.

The most annoying part (other than the bugs) is that you have to kill 25 normal mobs. They do not drop anything and they don't register for abilities like Victory Rush or Dark Succor. So be prepared to stop and eat alot and be careful not to pull too many.

Interesting to note. As a druid, I was able to stand there in caster form and spam faerie swarm, this while using Raining Blood allowed me to add my own damage without risk of anything happening to me.

When you have the quest shown on your minimap, you will see a big blue area where the boss mobs can spawn. As soon as any of them spawn, the blue goes away and the number and arrow point exactly to the spawn point. So, no reason to look around, just wait for the arrow to appear :D

You get an in-game alert when one of them spawns: "XXX has entered the battlefield!".

That should help you knowing which one to look for next - I spent 15 minutes waiting for Shox'tik to spawn

I killed the 3 bosses first, but when it came time to kill the 25 mantids, I kept getting mobbed by those roving gangs. Fed up and sniveling like a little girl, I parked myself on the steps in front of the Heart of Fear and was then able to pick off the mantids one by one at my leisure.

I recived a ''pop up'' on the screen when Akkolon, Shox'tik and Manifestation of Terror spawned. It said : ''Akkolon has entered the battlefield!'' When Akkolon spawned.

Shox'tik receives a debuff from one of your Klaxxi allies. If you can maneuver him into some fire he'll take big damage.

I discovered today, after slogging through this quest on too many other alts, that there is a "sweet spot" on the Manifestation of Terror for casters to stand in, and for melee to run to.

I'd tried all the other methods, staying up close and personal, moving with the stuff, and nothing really helped me survive the sha energies moving around on the ground. However, I discovered rather by accident that JUST outside the range of the energies, you can stand without getting yanked back in.

It's a bit of a pain to keep running out there on a melee, but it's a heck of a lot worse to repeatedly die and run back.

In my experience, after the Queen's speech ended, Akkolon appeared about 2 minutes after I completed killing my 25 Subjugates or about 5 minutes into the quest. Shox'tik spawned pretty soon thereafter - another 2 minutes maybe. However, I didn't locate him quickly and by the time I got there, he was down to 10-15% health. I jumped on the kill, but to no avail - I did not get credit. The Manifestation of Terror spawned after another 2 minutes, but I was quickly killed. Then it took 115 minutes for Shok'tix to respawn. I succeed in getting credit for the kill this time. While waiting for MoT, Akkolon spawned again. I should have gone over to help the mantids kill him because that battle went on for 18 minutes. Shok'tix came back 20 minutes after I killed him (or 2 minutes after Akkolon died). That battle (Kovok vs Shok'tix) lasted only 6 minutes. Sadly, MoT killed me 2 more times, each time just when he was at about 2% health, and I failed to get credit, because the rez process did not get me back to the fight in time to get in on the kill. Since I have now spent nearly 3 hours on this quest, I will see if carries over to tomorrow and I will find something more constructive to do for a while.

Maybe because I got lazy but the manifestation of terror almost killed me as a 510 hunter. I had to pop my stampede ON A QUEST how ridiculous. The morale of the story is don't take this one lightly.

If you're doing this quest with flying unlocked, it seems that the named elites you have to kill don't spawn unless you're nearby and on the ground. I spent a good long while flying back and forth in the area and nothing was happening at all. As soon as I touched down near where they were supposed to be, they spawned.
