Upon accepting this quest, the three stones at the outside of the Circle of Bone will have a cogwheel appear above them.
First, click the Stone Monolith to the left, then center, then right. You will cast "Decrypting". When you click the 2nd stone, a mob will appear and attack.

IF YOU CANNOT DECRYPT THE SECOND OR THIRD STONE, TRY PUTTING YOU MOUSE ON THE FLOATING GEARS!

When accepted the three stones in the back will gain cog wheals over them, however they can only be activated in order from right to left, or smaller to bigger. Clicking them in order will cast 'Decrypting' and you'll get a bit of a story from Cho.

Once you click on the middle/second one a mob will come out and attack. There's no trick to it just dps it down as normal, though this mob does like to jump around a bit.

Once down just click the last stone and follow Cho to the next objective.

If you're wondering why you can't decrypt (as I was).. then you're using the wrong stone, they have to be done in order. :)

Some posters have listed a specific order for using (decrypting) the stones. In my opinion there is no "set" order. Mine was right stone first, then the middle stone, then the left and final stone. Your's might be left first, then middle, etc....etc...

After clicking / using each stone, the cog wheels above them disappear and you will no longer be able to use (decrypt) them, and the quest is complete.

After completing this quest, Cho should offer Peering Into the Past, which will lead to another 4-part quest chain starting with Family Tree.

As others have mentioned, the stones don't always activate in the same order (left vs. middle vs. right), but only one of the 3 stones with cogwheels above them will be "interactable" at a time. You'll have a "Decrypting" casting bar while you interact with each stone. Seems consistent that add(s) will spawn for stone 2.

Lorewalker Cho has dialog after/during each decryption (correct me if it's not the same for everyone, I know other parts of his quest chain are race-specific):

Stone 1: Lorewalker Cho says: This stone tells of a great hozen warlord who lived here twenty-five hundred years ago. What are your leaders like? Poets? Warriors? I should like to meet them someday.
Stone 2: Lorewalker Cho says: Prepare yourself! Saurok raiders approach!
Bloodthirtsy Saurok says: Die, softskin!
Lorewalker Cho says: The saurok have plagued this land since the time of the mogu. They are impossible to negotiate with. But we never stop trying! We fight them only as a last resort.
Stone 3: Lorewalker Cho says: Thank you for your help - these notes are important to my studies. Your people value knowledge too, yes? I assume so, only because you arrived on a great airship.
