This appears to be a money making scheme (the Bulging Sack Of Gold contains around 10g) for high level characters who have maxed out Inscription, allowing them to create the Forged Documents required to begin the quest.

I imagine further details concerning whether the quest is repeatable or daily will become available once Cataclysm launches.

It seems right now I cannot turn in the quest. I found an NPC that completes it, but the quest does not see the item in my bag (perhaps it's not converting the item into a quest item when you begin the quest).

Not sure if this is just me, my server, or Horde only. Anyone with a similar issue please post so we can confirm where the bug lies.

EDIT: A hotfix has been applied and this quest turn in now works properly.

I think it's fair to say that whom you can hand it in to is random.
probably one of a small number of NPCs.

there are (at least for horde) several possible turn ins, i suggest not to the cook as turning in to others offers same reward and interesting text that they say as you turn them in

I've done this quest 4 times so far, receiving 11g to 23g. Don't know if it has the possibilities like the fortune card. I'm looking for you, 5k g card.

Turned at 501 Inscription (first time). Got 23g, 9s, 72c.

May be worth it once herb stack prices go down (something that could take a loooong time depending on the server, people here is currently a little crazy, stacks going 180g+)

Turned it in with my level 80 inscriptionist - 20g 47s 55c but zero xp and rep.

I think I'm just going to chill my inscript advancement for now and do these for a bit as the dragon horn and other items aren't spawning on the merchants and none are to be found in the AH.

I've gotten anywhere from 15-27(?) gold. The top value may have been less, but not less than 25 gold.

How to actually complete the quest: (For those as simple minded as me)

Don't bother opening your big Map and looking for a question mark like I did, that won't work.
Running around Orgrimmar like a headless chicken and talking to random NPCs probably won't work either.

I spent a good 5 minutes doing so until I realised that I should probably look at my minimap.
You'll see the ordinary, yellow colored, question mark in your minimap at places where an NPC is willing to accept your Forged Documents. Talking to NPCs other than those revealed by your minimap is useless.

Run around and keep an eye on your minimap and you'll find an NPC you can fool with your almost legit documents.
As of right now, it also seems like the only NPCs you can use to complete the quest are located in Valley of Strength, atleast I couldn't find anyone in other places in Orgrimmar.

Hope this'll help somebody equally stupid to myself.

Doomkookies: It would make no sense for a goblin to give you that much, when he could simply give you less.

And out-of-lore speaking, you get the same Bulging Sack of Gold every time you turn this in, from both faction variants of this quest. I don't think they'd make the effort to determine which NPC you got this from when rolling for the gold awarded, it's overly complicated, and if a certain NPC awarded more money than others, it would defeat the purpose of several possible people to turn this in.

Reported the 3x "Orgimmar" in the quest today..
The GM I spoke to, was genually surprised to see all those spelling mistakes, and reported it on to quality control..

I find that Suja; the female Orc that is inside the cooking trainer hut, to the left of the Inscription Trainer Hut, gives around 20g ~ 23g each time I give it to her.

When I first got the recipe for these, I made them a "daily" until they yellowed. It slowed my inscription for a little bit, but the cost savings was really nice!

Whenever I'm in Org, I still do this. It's a nice little criminal enterprise that I have that nets me several gold because of the current state of the AH on my server. I don't waste time flying to Org for just a few gold, but this is incredibly easy to do thanks to the addon Carbonite. As soon as I accept the quest, it knows precisely the location of the appropriate quest recipient - no hunting.

If you don't want an enormous guilt trip while doing this, turn it in to scout stronghand. At least then he gets the honor of thinking he killed a rouge.

Now that Blackfallow Ink is no longer accepted by ink traders, and that ink cannot be used to craft glyphs or anything else of value to a max-level player, this is the only real way to get money (slowly) from milling cataclysm herbs.

Depending on who you turn it into, you can get a different quote from the after they finish:

Grunt Grimful says: I know I worked a hundred and sixty eight hours last week... but if the paperwork says I didn't clock in, maybe you're right.

So, you just took his pitiful pay for working 24/7 last week.
