Go back out of the tunnels and they are up top within the Gelkis Camps, Remember you need 6 not 1 :D

You pick up this quest inside Maraudon but prior to entering the actual instance. Found it while I was looking for the turn in to Behind Closed Doors (which is not completeable at this time).

You have to pick up 6 defiled relics. These are scattered throughout the Maraudine camp just outside of Maraudon. Once you have all 6 relics right click to destroy.

I discovered this quest buried in my quest journal (default Blizzard journal). It is listed under Desolace but only if I'm looking at ALL of my unfinished quests. I had to return to Desolace long after completing the area in order to finish this one.

I spontaneously decide that someone else would like it if I do X. I go ahead and do X, and destroy any evidence that I did it. I then complete the quest and gain EXP without ever telling anyone I did anything.

If it's this easy to just grant myself EXP, why do I even bother with NPCs?

At least it's not like the other quest in this subzone where I just spontaneously get money from nowhere.

Next to the caged centaur, you will find a statue on a shelf that gives the quest. Free the centaur if you are on that quest and go back outside. Suddenly, on the ground outside the dungeon entrance and inside the centaur tents you will see shimmering statues lying on the ground. Collect 6 of them then right-click the stack in your bag.

"Job's done!"

You need to destroy them from your inventory, clicking the ones on the ground just loots them. If you suddenly can't find anymore to loot it's because you already have the 6 you need stashed away in your bags.

I got the Loremaster of Desolace achievement without completing this quest, so despite what Wowhead says this quest is not needed for the Loremaster achievement.

Description

The Maraudine have raided the Gelkis camps for many years, stealing anything they could get their hands on.

One of their favorite torments is to take these relics of power which the Gelkis hold sacred, and bring them here to be defiled.

The Gelkis clan would certainly be grateful if you were to find and destroy these defiled artifacts.
