As you advance from Aspirant to Valiant to Champion within the Argent Tournament, there will be dailies available for killing the Scourge of Icecrown. The Aspirant version requires 8 kills, the Valiant 10, and the Champion 15. Prior to 3.2, you could kill most types of Scourge in Icecrown for credit, but now only the Converted Hero counts. Thus, it is no longer possible to kill the same mobs to complete both the Valiant and Champion quests.

This particular quest is for Stormwind Valiants. The quests for Valiants of the other factions are:

After completing A Champion Rises, quests open up allowing you to repeat the valiant stage of daily quests for the other factions with which you have not yet earned the right to champion.

Notice "Except Bombardment". In addition, killing the scourge required for "At the Enemy's Gates" doesn't credit you either. So in reality, map looks like this.

A really good idea (if you want some easy cash) is to do this along with http://www.wowhead.com/?quest=13813 and http://www.wowhead.com/?quest=13330 - You basically do Blood of the Chosen and you get 50 gold on top of it.

The new valiant daily requires a specific mob to kill now, most likely because of the champion/valiant daily stacking. The new mobile is a Converted Hero http://www.wowhead.com/?npc=32255.

If you are a human, then your racial ability Diplomacy will up the original reputation you get, to the following :

69 reputation with Darnassus
69 reputation with Exodar
69 reputation with Gnomeregan Exiles
275 reputation with Stormwind
275 reputation with The Silver Covenant

Ok, most of the information given here is inaccurate or out of date. For those wondering what the heck is going on, the quest is completed as follows:

The quest text is a bit vague about where to go and what to do. The Converted Heroes you need to kill for this are actually named mobs, NOT just any old Scourge.

Go to
The Fallen heroes are all neatly lined up for you like plates in a shooting gallery
Kill 10.

Super-easy and super-fast quest once you know where to go.

If you have Carbonite and try this quest. IGNORE IT CARBONITES READINGS!
The map on wowhead shows exactly where the mobs spawn.
While the addon insists they are pretty much all over Icecrown.
I hope people won't do the same mistake I did an fly around the whole zone to be disapointed.

A Valiant's Field Training

Sir Marcus Barlowe at the Argent Tournament Grounds wants you to kill 10 Converted Heroes.

Description

The tournament is a time for testing your skills against your peers, but we must not forget that the real enemy, the Scourge, will not wait. As you hone your skills against others, so should you maintain your edge in combat against the enemy.

Travel to the area southwest of the Valley of Fallen Heroes and north of Corp'rethar. There, the Scourge raises dead heroes and turns them against us. Defeat these minions of the Scourge, do honor to our allies, and keep yourself prepared for combat.
