You're able to choose between 4 versions of the trinket that have either 90 str, 90 agi, 90 int, or 90 spr and they all share a proc that increases whichever of those 4 stats that you have most of by an additional 300. So for instance if you were a tank that took the agi one for dodge but have much higher str than agi, your proc would be 300 str. It could potentially cause a lot of headaches for classes that have two stats at similar levels but the higher one changes once raid buffed. The proc rate is incredible, it seems to have a 30 sec cd giving it a 50% uptime, I tested for a few minutes on the dummies and it didn't seem to matter if I was going all out or just autoshooting, it kept firing 15 secs after it had faded.

858 AP from one item when its procced.....? We're all doomed.

created the deck today (first 450 inscription on the realm) , I can guarantee, the other 3 choices are the same: +90 strenght, spirit, intellect.

The Proc chance is exactly 35%, if you go to the effect this card (and probably all cards, but as of today wowhead hasn't got the info of the other three cards yet) triggers you'll see:
Effect - Apply Aura: Proc Trigger Spell
Proc Chance: 35%

Inscriptors (or Scribes) will be so loved for making this =D.

just a quick note: it doesn't stack with that item (http://www.wowhead.com/?item=40684), it picks the greater of the two buffs.

My lvl 70 alt can right click on the card to see the quest and items. I think lvl 70 can get the card, just cant equip it.

Even if they don't stack proc effects it's still a passive 90 Str & 84 crit and there's a good chance one of the 2 procs will be active at any given time.

So, since it says "deal damage or heal" does that mean that the heals recieved from divine storm can proc it? Or maybe even Judgment of Light procs? If so that would greatly increase the proc rates...although if you have a tankadin in your group they will generally be Judging light for the healing threat that goes with it. Also can proc when farming and doing dailies when u are tossing urself those wonderful little insta-flashes. And as mentioned further up, great BV and threat trink...if you have all the def. rating and stam u want I would go for this for some added mitigation. I am very excited about getting my hands on one of these cards!

Why is this directed at my comment? I didn't state that they emphatically do or do not stack. I just said that whetever is true you are getting the passive buffs and there's more chance of at least 1 of the 2 procs being active with both equipped. Please read people's comments properly before marking them down.

This card is incredibly powerful - I can afford it (and it may even be worth the 25k gold) but at the back of my mind is the thought that I could be setting myself up for a major incoming nerf that cripples this trinket. That would really, truly, suck.

most likely because the proc buff is armor pen rating.... not a major base stat like agil or str or atp

Does the "Unique-Equipped" take into account the card name or item id? So could I wear both the strength and agility trinkets, or would the game think they were both the same item?

EDIT: The comments on the agility deck indicate that you should be able to wear two different stat cards at the same time. They also believe that both cards would share the same internal cooldown but I couldn't find any definitive information one way or the other.

You're saying that a player with this and will not get +390 Str and the +1000 AP? When both proc.
Shouldn't the player get both the procs? Since one is AP and one is Str?

the awesome advantage for a rogue with this is that it gives the 2 most important things for a rogue, AP and crit chance. For a rogue that has this card it will give (assuming the +90 agility) will give 390 AP when it procs, plus a 4.68% chance to crit.
This item is unique equip, but what if were 2 different cards? lets say i got the agility and strength cards, could i euqip them both? as a rogue i would get another 90 AP form str, plus another 300 agil when it procs. If you get a double proc this would result in an increase of 780 AP and 8.2% crit chance. Sounds like win to me. This is assuming you can have both cards and they both proc at the same time.

Well, as i realize, you cant get 2 to proc at the same time. So this and mirror of truth proc would result in 1390 AP and 4.68% crit increase

No one has really talked about the price.

The price can vary from server to server, but this deck is highest in demand. You can expect the price of each card to range anywhere from 1000-1500g, unless there is a large quantity on the AH and undercutting occurs. The deck itself is seen less often, but when it's up there, it usually goes for 10,000g.

The only way to reduce the gold price is to gather the mats to make a Random Darkmoon Card and hope that it turns out to be a nobles, you will have a 1/4 chance. The mats itself to make a card are usually around 300g, but if you get a card from the other 3 decks, you'll probably only be able to sell it for 100g, at the most.

Personally, it took me roughly two weeks of casually farming the amount of gold to get all eight cards using my Jewelcrafting, and two of those days were trying to find someone with my last card (who inflated the price, and rightfully so). For those with less profitable professions, this may require more time investment, unless you are a pro at working the Auction House (which I heard is the best way to make money, but I sadly don't have the time to look into it).

Don't expect the price to drop until Ulduar is released and (hopefully) better trinkets are available from there.

according to my calculations, if you would make the trinket proc at exacly every 45 seconds (45 seconds being the internal cooldown), you would have an active 190 spirit all throughout your battle, and around 218 spirit if you include the talents for 15% bonus spirit.

This math applys for any other stat.

you should pair this with the Majestic Dragon Figurine, these being the two best trinkets for restoration druids in mana intense battles.
Although id suggest Je'Tze's Bell instead of the figurine in a boss where you think you can handle your mana ;)

For the curious my calculations were simple, multiply the ammount of spirit you get within 45 seconds for those same 45 seconds (for 15 seconds u get 300+90 spirit and for 30 seconds u have only 90 spirit). 390*15+90*30=8550. Next just divide 8550 for the 45 seconds and voilá! 190 spirit all the time during a boss x)

For what it is worth, the quest no longer requires level 80 to get or complete. The trinket itself still requires level 80, of course.

Is this quest repeatable by the same character? For example say a Paladin wants Greatness cards of Intellect and Strength for each of their talent specializations, would they be able to obtain 2 Decks and complete the quest twice? Or would they need to resort to giving the 2nd deck to another level 80 alt, and having them complete the quest?

Turning in Darkmoon Card quests are repeatable. It's actually one of the few ways to gain Exalted with Darkmoon Faire for the Insane in the Membrane achievement.

yeah is it possible to have to seperate greatness cards on at the same time and if it is possible would the buff stack and/or would it just increase my chance of getting the buff for example if u use the str and agi cards while ur str is your highst would the str get both buffs or woud ur str just get a higher chance to get the buff

You FAIL hard. A simple mouse over of the 4 cards at the top of the page should indicate to a person which card they'd benefit most from, at which point a simple CLICK on said card would lead them to it's page where they can read up on the advantages and disadvantages.

All the nonsense above darknesscalls' post should be erased from this page. As well as yours AND mine. Senseless clutter.

for those of you frustrated at how stats are being discussed instead of the quest itself, go here for (some) more info.
There's still the usual banter about stats, but there's also some nice comments on making these cards, costs, and inscription levelling which seems to go with it.

If you wonder how to turn in this quest look at you calendar, find the next "Darkmoon Faire Begins", click on it and it will tell you the location. The Darkmoon Faire shows up every four weeks..
