Slow drop rate of arrows from the mobs in the forest. Took me about half an hour of grinding to get all 10 and that was without interruptions.

The Shadow revenants have twice the health of the normal mobs but regularly drop crystallized shadow and one revenant dropped two arrows in one go :)

Took me 15 min to get them. Also got 25 crystallized shadow and two green items. We didn't control Wintergrasp.

The drop rate seems to be extremely low now. I have 1 drop from 50-60 kills of the Wandering Shadows. 1 drop from an alliance player. I killed the same alliance player 4 times and only recieved the arrows on the first kill.

Talking to other players it seems that all the collection quests in Wintergrasp now have a drop rate below 1% (When the zone is not controlled).

Edit: 1 drop for 80 kills including at least 15 revenants. When the zone is controlled.

There seems to never be anyone farming these because of the availability of crystallized shadow in saronite veins. If the drop rate doesn't change I don't see any reason to ever do this quest as it would be faster to farm several instances when your side has control of the zone for the Stone Keeper Shards.

Have they changed the drop rate on this? I usually get a drop from maybe 1 out of 10 of the wandering shadows (makes no difference if it's the current daily or not), but when I did the quest with my rogue today, drop wate was 100%. 10 kills, 10 arrows.

EDIT: Did the quest later with my warlock, still 100% drop rate.

Yeah, I had 10 from 10 shadows too, seems like Blizz finally increased the drop chance :D

In the completion section, both Wowhead and the actual quest-giver say "Silvemoon City" instead of "Silvermoon City". I know these types of dailies for Wintergrasp vary, but I hoped at least someone else had noticed it.

If you get a group to do this its faster and everyone gets to loot the same loot. So all is happy :P

Now because of blizzard's stupid WG nerf, this q can be completed only once a week and reward is 10x stone shard and over 3k honor at 80.

Indeed, the drop rate has changed I guess, when I just did it the drop rate was 100%
Well worth doing these quests, with a 100% drop rate they're done within a few minutes and you get 13g, 10 stone keeper's shards AND 3.7K Honor!

Maybe im just really lucky or theres been a change since the last update. But i just took part in wintergrasp as horde, and we lost (no suprise there for any burningblade players).
But when i went hunting for arrows the Haunting Spirits dropped an Arrow everytime i killed one. So thats a 100% drop rate for me, took about 5mins not half an hour grind.

NOTE:
This is not only a daily quest but also a repeatable one! Once you do the quest & leave the zone & come back seconds later, the same quest will be available for you! There's literally no limit as to how many of the daily quests you can do in a single day. However, the single quest can be arduous & mundane when done over & over again even tho' it says you'll earn 24 Honor Points. At level 90, I will receive 26 or 27 points for each time I turn in the quest.

Bones and Arrows

Lieutenant Vieron Blazefeather in Wintergrasp wants you to retrieve 10 Quivers of Dragonbone Arrows from Alliance players at the Forest of Shadows.

Description

Why would they set me to the task of arming our archers? I was a poet, not a ranger! Well, no use complaining. <name>, I am in need of dragon bone for our arrowheads.

Travel to the Forest of Shadows on the western side of Wintergrasp. Ever since the last skirmish, the Alliance have been scavenging dragon bones in the area. Slay them and take the bones.

If that fails, you might be lucky and get one from the spirits in the area. I hear they love to impale their living victims on the bones as they die.
