You should be able to do this around 5 Oils.
Since a "big" pack of Eggs serves you 6 Eggs.

some of the egg groups have only 5 eggs.
if you look for those with 6 eggs only, you will be able to finish the quest with only 5 oils.

The number of surrounding players doesn't affect the drop rate at all. The drop rate will be around 50% at all times if the figures are accurate.

The only thing that an increase in surrounding players will affect is the number of mobs available to you.

As mentioned before, you can finish the quest with 5 oils, therefor would need an average of 10 kills to finish this quest.

That seems to be a downside with turning standard quests into dailys. Every day is potentially like the first day of a new expansion pack.

Ive been trying to get the oils for the past 2 hours, and have 4. Theres a mass of players on flying mounts competing to tag mobs. It's mayhem. It's annoying.

Quest deleted.

The eggs are located in "The Blighted Pool" which is a brown lake of water behind the town of Valkyrion.

Make sure your careful when using the oil, roaches really hate that stuff. Sends them into a frenzy of feeler flaying madness.

With some very careful throwing you can do it with 5 oils even if you hit one group of five. This happened to me, I was however able to cover a group of six plus a single egg from another group with a single AoE. The targetting "circle" is very accurate on this item, more so than usual.

I figure now that this could open up the possibility to do this under 5 oils, and since this is a daily I'm gonna try and do it with 4 tomorrow. ;)

I'd recommend handing this quest in before logging off, I did 18/30 before logging off, logged back on to 16/30. Then I finished it, but didn't hand it in, logged back on next time to 29/30. Now I'll have to do the mission back up there and back for 1 damn egg.

I just want to say that for every egg you destroy you don't need one vial.... I made the mistake of thinking this way and you only need about 5 or 6 vials.. to destroy thirty eggs.. i thought for every egg you needed one vial but that's not the case

Thyra Kvinnshal in Brunnhildar Village wants you to go to Valkyrion and obtain Vials of Frost Oil from the Valkyrion Aspirants. Use the Vials of Frost Oil to destroy 30 Plagued Proto-Drake Eggs.

	Plagued Proto-Drake Egg (30)

Description

The Lich King sent emissaries to us on three different occasions. All three were promptly dismembered.

Our sisters in Valkyrion were not as dedicated to our traditions and accepted the Scourge's advances. Now instead of capturing their drakes from the wild, they raise them from the blight and filth that the Scourge wallow in.

Take the frost oil that the Valkyrion Hyldnir carry on them and use it to freeze any blighted eggs you find. Rumors speak of a fetid pool of blight where the eggs are kept.
