Lots of folks enjoy this part of the quest. You are teleported to a high rock precipice. Simply run and jump off the wooden boards. It looks as if you will fall to your death, but you will be teleported back to Dorn Plainstalker before you reach the bottom.

Make sure you only jump off of the wooden plank! If you jump off of anywhere else you will fall to your death.

Just as it says, Dorn will teleport you to a cliff in 1k Needles. There are stones on the ground that form a circle around you and a stone path that tells you which way to go.....then you jump off the cliff. I'd say I was only about 1/4 or 1/3 of the way down and I got the quest completed message. Being a 29 Mage and not knowing if I'd survive the fall or not, I cast Slow Fall and landed with a smile.

For those considering embarking on this quest series: I highly recommen it. This 10 part series will take most appropriatly leveled players the better part of a day to complete.

What's in store for you?
The series starts with a whimsical jump, contains some very difficult battles, and will take you all over Azeroth... including the Scarlet Monastery. And all through out you will be presented with some of the best game lore seen thus far.

You can bubble and I assume Ice Block out of the teleport "stun".

Do NOT use parachute cloak.. You will fall to death if you use it to early.. and you will have to walk back if you dont die. Though in opposite to vexis58 I completed it since I didnt use it at start

The buff it gives u helps alot when u move onto the others (if ur quick) so don't die with it!!!

This quest took me approximatly 3 hours to complete at level 25. The only way a level 25 should complete this quest is that they have a buddy. The buddy doesn't have to be extremly high until part 8 (Test of Lore) when you run thru the Scarlet Monastary - Library, by the time you get to this part of the quest you'll want it to be done.

To finish this quest in one day you would probally need the following...

1 - Flight paths to Freewind Post (Thounsand Needles), Sun Rock Retreat (Stonetalon Mts.), Splintertree Outpost (Ashenvale).

2 - A quest buddy preferably 30+.

At the end of this quest you can recevie one of the best One-Handed Maces for a level 29 paladin twink. If you are a protection paladin I highly recomend this quest.

This quest chain is a must if you're trying to earn reputation with Thunder Bluff. It can be completed in less than an hour at level 70.

This quest counted for Loremaster of Kalimdor and 3000 Quests Completed. I would imagine the following quests will as well.

every raid leader should put their raid members to through a quest like this -- follow instructions to the letter or get /gkick :)

now if only there was a way for member not to know about being saved just in the nick of time...

Err, if you're doing this with a DK, don't get on your epic mount and jump off. You fall into the rock pillar on the other side and die before being teleported >_<

Surprised this hasn't come up yet.. In the game Assassin's Creed near the beginning of the game the main character jumps from a wooden plank protruding from the top of a tower, landing in a bail of hay. Thoughout the game there are points where the player reaches very high vantage points and can perform a "leap of faith" to get down quickly, landing in hay bails

Fun quest. I dropped it and retook it about 5 times because I'm that fascinated with this suicidal jump.

Very easy quest. Just don't

- mount
- slow fall
- jump off any place that isn't the plank

Also fun to use Eyes of the Beast to have your pet jump all the way to the bottom and take no damage.

2.the quest can be found at the weathered nook in the cave there is a path up to it

i kept being told it was on the freewind post base it is not head north you will see the totem pole.

Description
