Came here looking for some idea of what Finesse or Deftness was after making some stuff while experimenting in alchemy. Eventually found what I was looking for, so posting this to help others like me.

Deftness, Finesse, and Perception are new secondary stats for gathering professions. Deftness increases gathering speed, Finesse gives you a % chance to gather additional herbs/ore/leather, and Perception gives a % increase to your chance to find rare herbs/ores/leather.

As somebody who hasn't touched gathering professions at all in Dragonflight and focused solely on crafting, I had no idea but now I do!

Anyone have any idea if this and the Finesse work with Fishing at all?

I know 'RNG is RNG' but these don't seem to work very well for me. With fishing, I'm not getting more rare or double items with them than I am without. I realise the improvements with this type of buff is supposed to be small but I wish Blizz would let us see *some* obvious improvment if we make and use them. Especially if we've gone to the effort of discovering and crafting stuff like this. :\

Worked hard on leveling my alchemist so I could send these phials to my fishing character whom I learned could benefit from them. Found out only after finally making my first one they are Bind On Pickup. Why would the developers make these one of the only phials untradeable? Highly frustrating.

This is great for those who decide to go for the fishing route for the Otto mount, instead of the harpoon route. I noticed that with the high perception, I sometimes got 2 bronze coins while fishing. So I thought I might give it a go, and drank a Phial of perception and it actually worked. Because of my high perception I sometimes even discovered 3 coins in 1 go. I know its a simple tip but hope I helped a few out :)

Gathering augments:
- Deftness increases gathering speed.
- Finesse gives a higher chance of gathering more reagents.
- Perception increases chance of finding rare reagents.

Crafting augments:
- Inspiration gives chance to craft higher quality item(s).
- multicraft increases chance to craft more items.
- Resourcefulness chance on decreased material cost.

Using Reclaim Concoction on this phial will render more (4-5) of the Dragon's Alchemical Solution than other potions.

Do these really do anything?
I am maxed out on skinning ( with 50+ useless points), I still get mainly rank 2 of everything. I tried these phials a few times and have noticed NO improvement in how many rank 3 rare skins I get.
