These flowers gives you a buff called "Glowstep".
The buff reads: Allows walking over water.

This buff lasts for 10 minutes and is NOT cancelled if you enter combat.

No one has mentioned where to find these so I thought I should!

I first encountered them at 50, 60 in Shadowmoon Valley on the river banks, but I think they're scattered throughout on the banks of every river or lake that runs in Shadowmoon.

I have the stables in my garrison so I've been doing the dailies, and I needed to tame a Riverbeast. Makes it pretty hard when they swim through water much quicker than you can. So I poped down to get one of these bad boys to make the next 10 minutes of taming this beast much easier.

I found one under the water, so they are not just on the shore.

Let me add some clarification here:

The problem with the 43, 49 location is that there are DOZENS of white flowers on the ground all along the river. (This area is also a busy area with a goodly amount of Level 93 baddies.) I didn't see any of these flowers there.

I was looking for a large flower, but it is actually one of the smaller ones, and one of only two (that I saw) that you can hover over.

When you hover over this one, it says 'Shadow Lily', and if you're close enough, a grab icon appears. Upon grabbing the flower, a blue buff goes up and you will see the ten minute timer start. You have to grab the flower; it will not automatically apply the buff!

If you don't see any of these in the area you're in, keep traveling down the river and you'll eventually find them. I started at 43,49, fighting through all the enemies, and headed along the south bank towards 50,60. After a few minutes of traveling, I saw the flowers across the river on the east bank, just north of the 50, 60 waypoint. There were tons of them there, and thankfully this was a quiet area.

This area is a pain in the butt for Horde members. Once I got the Exile's Rise waypoint, it wasn't that bad. I headed south towards the river, skirted the Embaari enemy village, avoided the wolfpacks (they're only Level 93, but there are 5-6 of them and that's trouble). Once I got to the river, I crossed over and headed south and eventually found them on the east bank.
