This was way we dealt with the Spirit Kings in our 10 man raid:

We used 1 tank, 2 healers and 7 damage dealer.

Since you encounter the Spirit Kings in a random order, you might want to alternate your tactics by some degree.

Every King has a set of abilities, he uses since the moment he becomes active. And he keeps using one of them after being defeated.

Qiang the Merciless
1. He calls for Flanking Orders every 40 seconds while alive and every 75 seconds while defeated. When this event occurs a group of mogu warriors will move in a direct path from one end to the other end of the room.
2. Massive Attacks is a frontal cone attack he uses in very short intervalls. It's damage is split by the number of targets hit. Make sure all raids members are being hit, otherwise Quiang oneshots people very fast.
3. Annihilate is another frontal cone attack but make sure that no one gets hit because it's doing high damage but not splitting like ability 2. It's cone is indicated by clouds of dust.
Stack together and have your tank coordinating the group. Everyone has to stand inside the tank, so he is the one to announce in which direction he dodges Flanking Orders, Annihilate or any other ability from the defeated kings which has to be avoided.
Group heal is needed, can really help out, if healers are having mana issues with this fight.
Meng the Demented
Meng is a tricky one. He has two stances with increasing strength as his insanity increases. After reaching 100% insanity he switches the stance and starts again with an empty bar.
1. Crazed is the stance he deals increased damage. Prepare to heal your tank after insanity reaches futher than 60%.
2. While being affected by Cowardice, Meng acts like being feared by a warlock, running slowly through the room, but reflecting damage as insanity increases. As soon as insanity reaches 60% a damage stop is needed to preserve healer's mana.
In addition to that he has two active abilities:
1. Maddening Shout allowing you to deal damage to your raidmembers and also applies a damage over time effect, which is dispelled after receiving a set amount of damage (40,000 in 10 man). He keeps this ability after being defeated.
2. Crazy Thought is a 2 second cast, increasing Meng's insanity by 10.
Make sure to stack again, in order of breaking the effects of Maddening Shout very fast with area of effect attacks like Arcane Explosion. Those spells should not have any secondary effects.
The other aspect of dealing with the mad king is knowing how to interrupt his Crazy Thought spell. As a rule of thumb, after reaching 60% you do not want to interrupt anymore in order to pass this phase as quick as possible.
Make sure to have a damage stop at 60% insanity while Meng is affected by Cowardice in order to preserve healers' mana.
Zian of the Endless Shadow
1. He uses Undying Shadows to summon small orbs, looking like a purple skull, which fixate to a randomly chosen player. After being killed they form a voidzone, which shrinks till the Undying Shadow is reborn after 30 seconds. This time it chooses the closes player standing to the voidzone while it respawns as target for fixate. Those targets have low HP but deal a high amount of shadow damage to close players. He retains this ability after being defeated.
2. Charged Shadows is like a shadow version of chain lightning, but dealing the same amount of damage to every target. It's jumping range is 8 yards.
3. Shadow Blast is a debuff dealing a good amount of shadow damage to all targets within 8 yards.
Make sure to spread out the raid to prevent his abilities from dealing damage to more than one player.
The ones fixiated by Undying Shadows should kite it to the wall and make sure it gets killed there by ranged dps. It is tempting to deal damage as soon as possible, but this causes trouble with the void zones. Assign a "volunteer" to stand close to those void zones, to deal with the respawning adds.
Subetai the Swift
1. He uses Pillage to deal damage in a random area and applies a healing and armor reduction debuff to all targets hit by this ability. He uses this ability after being defeated.
2. He shoots a large Volley dealing small damage in a wide cone, followed by Volley dealing damage in a medium cone, finished by Volley which is a single shot, which can oneshot players.
3. Rain of Arrows choose a random target and pinning every player within 8 yards of the target down. Those pinned down players are unable to do any actions untill the arrows are killed. (One arrow per target hit)
Dealing with the pillager is pretty simple. Spread the raid prevents him hitting more than one target with Rain of Arrows. Targets affected by Rain of Arrows have to be freed asap!
Everything else is just dodging his cone attack and his Pillage, as well as the other kings' abilities.

Since the order in which you have to fight those kings is randomly chosen, you have to watch out for the abilities of the defeated kings and adapt to them, while killing the active one. Therefore I just mentioned the abilities of the active one, since the combinations which are possible would be too many.

The abilities which the kings use after being defeated are:

Flanking Orders (Qiang the Merciless)
Maddening Shout (Meng the Demented)
Undying Shadows (Zian of the Endless Shadow)
Pillage (Subetai the Swift)

We had the order:

Qiang the Merciless
Zian of the Endless Shadow
Subetai the Swift
Meng the Demented

Additions in heroic

At 30%HP the next King will spawn, so you have to fight two kings at the same time during the transitions.
The order is fixed to:
1. Qiang the Merciless
2. Subetai the Swift
3. Zian of the Endless Shadow
4. Meng the Demented
Each King gains a new ability that works as a self buff:
Impervious Shield makes Qiang immune to damage, dispells all debuffs and makes him attack for each hostile action that is dealt to him. (only dispellable with Mass Dispel)
Subetai does a debuff that reduces damage and healing done and armor value by 50% while affected by Sleight of Hand. If he is stunned the debuff will not be applied. Ranged DD have to watch out with slow flying projectiles as the cast is shorter than the time your projectiles may need.
Zian will deal high damage to the raid, when his Shield of Darkness is active. A damage stop is required until all 5 stacks are dispelled.
Meng gains the double amount of insanity, when affected by Delirious. Simply dispell this enrage effect when he is under 60% insanity and let it on him, when above this threshold.

During this current patch, and going into the future, there are maybe two mechanics that prevent this fight from being a faceroll.

#1 is Shield of Darkness. This is heroic-only, but I imagine more and more people will be trying to get through heroic, anyway. The story is that when you see Zian begin to cast this (he will cast, and then channel to sustain the shield), stop dps. This is more important than getting your Blingtron daily package, people! Hopefully, Zian will be killable before the first cast, or the damage will be bearable, sooner rather than later.

#2, I think, is Annihilate. This is the bad boy that Garrosh learned from the mogu, and he uses his own version in SoO. For the most part, it's just a matter of not standing in the bad.
For the tank, it also means not to charge in on the pull, else s/he'll get one-shot. And mocked. And laughed at. And I should know, having a lil' tank of my own. Just don't use a Charge-type attack on Qiang, ever.

Okay, doing H MSV mount run and this fight bugged out. 4th king wouldn't spawn and with 100's in the group we can't die........not even sure how to reset except for hearth

Attempted solo as a 687 Combat Rogue, but couldn't do it. Pinned arrow and occasional massive damage that I can't heal through with Recuperate.

Easily solo-able in current patch. If you are coming here, you're having issues with Pinned Down, the ability the 2nd boss does. If you aren't a class that has a pet, an ability to remove stuns (Warlock), or don't have an AoE attack that stays after your stunned (DK Defile) make sure you have the DPS and a PVP trinket to remove the stun and kill him before he can cast it a second time. Also, you could pick-up Every Man For Himself (Human racial). I'm sure there are other methods, so be creative and don't give up.

Concerning Subetai's pin down (stun) ability: combat rogues can avoid it with a well-timed killing spree. Just before the boss' ability goes off, he does a weird raising hand gesture, with arrows starting to fall: hit your KS at just that time, and you'll be fine. You'll need enough dps to kill him before he casts it again though. I managed to pull it off with just under 680 ilvl, so nothing too crazy :)

The buff to second wind has helped a bit (currently 25% leech). Definitely helps to pop a potion and blow all cooldowns on Qiang. At 695 as fury, i've been able to skate by this fight on my way to elegon.

Soloed 10N as a 688 Combat Rogue. This is a very high damage fight, so you're definitely going to want to glyph Recuperate and Cloak. In addition, especially with Qiang, you're going to want to make judicious use of Combat Readiness and Feint. The entire fight is essentially a balance between survival and DPS - if you try to just burn the bosses, you're going to have a bad time.

In addition, if you're not Human, you're going to need a PvP badge to get out of Pinned, when fighting Subetai. Due to the changes in 6.2, Killing Spree will no longer make you immune to CC, so trying to use it to avoid getting pinned, is not going to work.

Monk, did it on 10N as 684 Windwalker with Mark of Supreme Doom for Leech. This was the easiest fight for me as WW (did Feng as Brew) in terms of fewest dips in HP. Nimble Brew out of Pinning Arrow, DPS, avoid Flanking Orders.

Draenic Living Action Potion gets you out of Pinning Arrows and doesn't share CD with the PVP trinket, so take both just in case

just stay out of stuff, and when you get pinned, have your pet kill the arrow.

When you are soloing this at this moment (Patch) the maddening shout debuff persists. To remove it, you would either damage other player (which you won't since you are soloing this) or die.

If you jump into the Elegon's "crater" you will die without a durability loss and clear this debuff that is constantly damaging you.

Kept glitching on me, I'd get to the third king, break the "pin down arrow" with my pet, then down the third king, and the last one, Meng, would not activate.

Tried a lot of things, the only thing that seemed to work was severely limiting DPS on that third guy. In fact, on the last one, in which I was successful, I slowed everything down on all the bosses. I waited until Meng came out, didn't take the 3rd king all the way down, I just dps'ed heavy on Meng once he activated, and that worked.

After gearing up a bit in Legion, I wanted to test out 25m Heroic Mogu'shan Vaults. Level 110 Fury Warrior ilvl 828. It wasn't as faceroll as I had hoped lol. You can solo this, it will just take some time.

This is where it gets tricky... The Spirit Kings. Now, theres a few things to look out for...Try to avoid the flanking orders and always finish off the previous boss before you're onto the next, less trouble to deal with. Qiang hits pretty hard, even for a level 110. His auto-attacks are intended to be split amongst a whole raid. This is where you would want to use defensive cooldowns. Do not get hit by Annihilate, I didn't test it but it used to do MASSIVE damage in MoP...so I'm sure it would take a nice chunk out of your HP, if it doesn't one shot you. The final and toughest part of this fight is Subetai the Swift. Every so often, he will rain down arrows onto you. I dont believe this is avoidable, you will be stuck with Pinned Down. You are stunned indefinitely until a player breaks you out. I gave up after 3-4 tries until I read a post on Wowhead. You can use a PVP trinket to get out of this! I had to go into the item restore and dig for my old pvp trinket that I sold when 7.0 dropped, before Legion even released. With the pvp medallion, I was able to easily kill Subetai the Swift. From there, its smooth sailing. Just wait until he's done channeling until you break from the stun. If you don't have a medallion, or you cannot acquire one - the best shot you have is nuke him before it comes out. Otherwise, I think you'll need someone to help you. Good luck!

I was under the impression that raids that are two expansions below us would be considered legacy and we get a bonus to damage -- however, this is not the case. In MoP, our damage remains unchanged (compared to Legion).

I was that one who definitely did NOT go in prepared (no Living Action potions, attempting to get an achievement, etc, and as a druid, Ysera's Gift on). If this happens to you while soloing, just exit out for a few minutes. With you logged out, your Ysera's Gift won't heal you and you'll die eventually.

I'm normally in Windowed mode, so I was just able to hit the X to exit.

This fight bugged on me a couple of times. Once you get the currently spawned boss down to 30% health the next boss begins to activate but it isn't immediately. What happened to me was I dpsed it down before the next one activated completely. So once the boss is below 30% give it a second and make sure the next one activates completely and is attackable before you dps hard.

10m Heroic MSV -- Level 104 Windwalker Monk i728

Solo'd this boss along with the entire raid with ease. I equipped a pvp trinket for the Pinning Arrow, but I killed Subetai before he casted it (even without my cds). If you're lower level, just be sure to use defensives and you should be okay. I would use your cds on Qiang, as his attacks are intended to be split amongst the raid aka they still hit like a truck. At this level, most of these fights are DPS races because you do take a lot more damage than you would at 110. Generally on these fights I was peaking 350k and ending 150k. Ended at 300k on Stone Guard. WW Monks are OP...But still, 10m heroic is incredibly easy.

If you're a monk with the healing elixir ability and you get pinned by Subetai's arrow, you are caught in an infinite loop.

1) You cannot break out of the arrow alone.
2) His damage is so low that your healing elixir will recharge and heal you back up before he can kill you.

There is no way to escape. You eventually will die (Took me almost 30 minutes). You cannot log or exit game (without using Alt-F4) and none of the help "unstuck" tools work.

I went completely unprepared and got pinned down and was stuck.

I went as a shadow priest and after some tries, I found out, that this is pretty easy.

When the second boss activates, give him a few dots and begin running around the room following the walls. Preferably with speed bonuses. This will dodge the arrows and gives you freedom to use instant spells and dots killing him quite easily.

If you're trying to get transmog or something on multiple toons and don't have the dps to burst down the arrow guy before he pins you down, open your heirloom tab and craft the PvP trinket (inherited insignia), assuming you've collected it. This will break you out!

Queued up a solo raid through Lorewalker Han, got to this point no problem, but after Lorewalker Cho went over to look at the "button" and began dialogue, nothing happened and nobody spawned. Had to leave the instance & couldn't progress further in the raid. Any ideas why this might have happened?

If you queue from Loremaster Han for a solo raid encounter, remember that it's LFR!
Gara'jal the Spiritbinder is the last bosss of a first wing of this raid.
Just leave instance and requeue for "Vault of Mysteries" instead.

Shadow Priests against Subetai, if you get pinned and try to use Dispersion, you will DC. Use the PvP trinket.

Update: changing out of Shadowform will DC you as well.

Kings' Procession

The Spirit Kings animate in sequence, with one King attacking the players until defeated, at which time another King enters the fray. Defeated Kings become entirely incorporeal, but continue to bring one of their powerful abilities to bear periodically.

On Heroic difficulty, each Spirit King animates and joins the battle when its predecessor is brought below 30% of maximum health.

Qiang the Merciless

When the players defeat the Warlord King, he remains in battle in a weakened state and only uses his Flanking Orders ability.

Flanking Orders – The Warlord King orders a flank, calling in a wave of Mogu attackers. These Flanking Mogu cast Overhand Strike, inflicting 273 Physical damage to enemies in front of them within 4 yards.
The Warlord King retains Flanking Orders after being defeated.
Massive Attacks – No single man or woman can stand against the brutal attacks of the Warlord King. His Massive Attacks inflict 763 Physical damage, split among all enemies hit.
Annihilate – Qiang focuses on Annihilating his enemies in front of him, inflicting 681 damage to enemies within 20 yards.
Impervious Shield – The Warlord King uses his Impervious Shield, becoming immune to all attacks and spells. When struck with a harmful ability or spell during Impervious Shield, Qiang will retaliate with an extra attack.

Meng the Demented

When the players defeat the Mad King, he remains in battle in a weakened state and only uses his Maddening Shout ability.

Maddening Shout – The Maddening Shout of Meng the Demented causes all enemies to go mad, inflicting 26 Shadow damage every 3 sec. and causing all enemies to hate each other. Players regain their sanity after taking 16 damage from another player.
The Mad King retains Maddening Shout after being defeated.
Crazed – The Mad King becomes more insane every 0.5 sec. Crazed increases the Mad King's Physical damage dealt by a percentage equal to twice his current Insanity. When the Mad King reaches 100 Insanity, he switches personalities to Cowardice.
Cowardice – The Mad King becomes more insane every 0.5 sec. Cowardice causes the Mad King to reflect damage equal to 50% of his current Insanity. When the Mad King reaches 100 Insanity, he switches personalities to Crazed.
Crazy Thought – A Crazy Thought crosses the Mad King's warped mind, increasing his Insanity by 10.
Delirious – The Mad King enrages, doubling the rate he gains insanity.

Subetai the Swift

When the players defeat the Bandit King, he remains in battle in a weakened state and only uses his Pillage ability.

Pillage – The Bandit King charges a random player and Pillages all enemies within 8 yards, stealing the victims' possessions. The Pillaged effect reduces the affected players' damage and healing done by 50% and increases their Physical damage taken by 50%.
The Bandit King retains Pillage after being defeated.
Volley – Subetai launches three Volleys in quick succession. The first inflicts 41 Physical damage to enemies in a large cone in front of the caster, then 82 Physical damage in a medium cone, and finally 164 Physical damage in a small cone.
Rain of Arrows – The Bandit King fires a Rain of Arrows at the location of a random player, inflicting Pinned Down on all targets within the 8 yard area. Pinned Down inflicts 16 Physical damage every 1 sec. until another player removes the arrow from the victim.
- Pinning Arrow – The Pinning Arrow causes Pinned Down, inflicting 16 Physical damage every 1 sec. until a player destroys the Pinning Arrow.
Sleight of Hand – Damaging attacks against the Bandit King cause the attacker to suffer being Robbed Blind. The effect reduces damage and healing done by 50% and reduces armor by 50%. The Bandit King becomes vulnerable to Stun effects while using Sleight of Hand.
- Robbed Blind – Robbed Blind reduces the target's damage and healing done by 50% and increases their Physical damage taken by 50%.

Zian of the Endless Shadow

When the players defeat the Sorcerer King, he remains in battle in a weakened state and only uses his Undying Shadows ability.

Undying Shadows – The Sorcerer King creates an Undying Shadow at the location of a random player. The Undying Shadow inflicts 20 Shadow damage every 1 sec to players within 10 yards until destroyed.
The Sorcerer King retains Undying Shadows after being defeated.
- Undying Shadow – The Undying Shadow inflicts 20 Shadow damage every 1 sec to players within 10 yards until destroyed. An Undying Shadow fixates on the closest nearby player when the Sorcerer King summons it. After the Undying Shadow dies it starts to reform itself, creating Coalescing Shadows. After 30 seconds the Undying Shadow fully coalesces and reforms.
  - Coalescing Shadows – The Coalescing Shadows inflicts 20 Shadow damage every 5.2 sec. to players within 10 yards. After 30 seconds the Undying Shadow fully coalesces and reforms.
Shadow Blast – The Sorcerer King launches a Shadow Blast at the location of a random player. The Shadow Blast inflicts 60 Shadow damage upon impact to players within 8 yards of the targeted location.
Charged Shadows – The Sorcerer King blasts a random player with Charged Shadows, inflicting 41 Shadow damage to the target then chaining to further targets within 8 yards of each other.
Shield of Darkness – The Sorcerer King protects himself with a Shield of Darkness. The Shield inflicts 82 Shadow damage to all enemies whenever a damaging ability lands on the Sorcerer King.
- Darkness – Inflicts 82 Shadow damage to all enemies.
