She's a black dragon. Raises some interesting questions about the fel orc operation. If you see her talking with Varkule, you'll know what I mean.

For those of you who do not want to read through the link, Lady Sinestra has a conversation with Mor'ghor about "The Master" a.k.a. Deathwing/Neltharion being alive. They mention Nefarian's failure in Azeroth and talk about "The Master" wanting the Netherwing eggs that they find. The whole point of this conversation is to hint at what the Dragonmaw are doing there and that Deathwing is alive (which a lot of people knew or guessed already.

Also as a side note, before the Hyjal in Azeroth was properly closed off and you could get inside, there was a duplicate of Onyxia's Lair inside but when you blinked through the gate it said Deathwing's Lair.

She's a female dragon, but I don't know of any connection that would make her the same as Onyxia.

When she lands and dismounts, she does this AoE fire thing that dismounts you and makes you run around a little. No damage done however.

She is actually attackable if you haven't completed the Netherwing quests yet :) I went over there with my pally and had some fun killing a few of the non-elites inside of the camp when I noticed this huuuge dragon flying towards the camp. Of course I ran out and started beating on her as soon as she turned into her belfie form!

Hits a Paladin with 11,4k armor for 1,3k and I didn't notice any speciel abilties in the couple of seconds I ran :P

Lady Sinestra is responsible for the creation of twilight drakes.

Twilight Drakes/Dragons were created by Lady Sinestra in Grim Batol. The dragons are mentioned in the new Knaak novel "Night of the Dragon". Basically they are dragons created with the essence of a Nether Dragon combined with parts of the shattered Demon Soul and a Blue Flight artifact.

For those of you who didn't read the book, Night of the Dragon by Richark A Knaak, Sinestra, is Neltharion's (Deathwing) main consort. She is one of the very few consorts who survived when mating with him after he became insane and he was to "into" the Demon Soul and he practiclly became molton lava inside of him. (He realized that and told a bunch of godblins to make him some armor if you didn't read Beyond the Dark Portal).She too following became insane after she suffer greatly making half her face filled with burns and scars.

She began to plot her move to conqour Azeroth just like Neltharion (Deathwing). After Neltharion was thought to be dead, Sinestra moved into Grim Batol used the skardyn as servants, created twilight dragons, and comanded armies of dragonspawns ad dragonkins and launched attacks from time to time on Menethil Habour. She also aquired a certain blood elf who she would show more magical sources in return he would help her with her spells whose name was Zendarin Windrunner.

After hearing of the more frequent than before attacks of skardyn led by dragonkin and dragonspawn, Korialstrasz also know to many as Krasus instead of his true form as a dragon decided to investigate on what is happening at Grim Batol since one of the dragons from his own dragonflight tried following a twilight dragon back to Grim Batol and never came back.

Elsewhere, Irirdi, a dranei preistess who was sent on a mission by the naaru to search and destroy the nether dragon which unexpectedly passed through the Dark Portal without anyone knowing. (Nether Dragons are from Draenor or the Outland, and none has ever entered Azeroth only to be slain save this one) This surviving nether dragon was brought to Grim Batol to feed Sinestra's twilight dragon, Dargonax and her new creations later. The name of this particullar nether dragon was Zzeraku.

Meanwhile in the mountains and caves of Grim Batol,
Rom and his dwarves were also sent on a mission to find out what is disturbing Grim Batol and causing all these attacks and are asked to put a stop to it. Rom and his dwarven comrades capture skardyn, their Dark Iron cousins with a mix of dragon scales, claws and tounges. Because they are new to this threat a few of them are slain in fighting and capturing the skardyn. Rom, who never gives up, pushes on with less men than he expected.

The rest of the story is all up to you. You have to read the book to find out what happens.

Characters in Night of the Dragon:

Krasus/Korialstrasz = One of the main characters in the book. The ancient protector of Azeroth accpets his new mission to find out what is disturbing Grim Batol.

Iridi = A young caring dranei prestess and another main character. Chosen by the naaru to undertake this mission, the young dranei must find and destroy if must a nether dragon which escaped into Azeroth. (Died when she gave all her power to Krasus to battle Dargonax)

Rom = An old dawrven veteran warrior. After driving out the orcs from Grim Batol, this old dwarf now undergoes a new mission. To put a stop to whatever is the threat in Grim Batol. (Died from a chest wound made by Rask the dragonkin elite comander)

Vereesa Windrunner = This high elven mother of two, seeks to find her blood elf cousin who tried to kidnap her sons. Seeking revenge she sets out for Grim Batol.

Rhonin Redhair / Draig'cyfaill / Dragonheart = This wizard sets out from Dalaran to find his beloved wife Vereesa Windrunner who traveled into Grim Batol. This wizard stumbles upon his old friend, Krasus or Korialstrasz, and finds out about the evil inside Grim Batol. Accepting his new mission he helps the other in order to destroy whatever evil is in Grim Batol.

Kalec / Kalecgos = This young blue stumbles upon the legendary dragon Krasus / Korialstrasz while fighting a pair of escaped twilight dragons. Still angry at Krasus for Aveena, Kalecgos still holds a grudge in his heart against him but then fades away near the end of the book when he truly realizes what is friendship all about.

Lady Sinestra / Sintharia = This insane dragon now seeks to conquer Azeroth by making a new breed of dragons. Twilight dragons. Her madness nearly destroying the whole of Grim Batol and even Korialstasz himself. (Dead when Dargonax consumed a small shard of the Demon Soul. Thinking that it would give him more than enough power Dargonax grabbed his master and brought them above Grim Batol but the magic was to much and the tiny shard of the Demon Soul ripped Dargonax from existence causing an explosion that destroyed Sintharia)

Zendarin Windrunner = This blood elf who attempted to kidnap his cousins sons now goes to Sinestra to help her with her spells in exchange he would be provided with more magical sources. But thinking he can defeat his mistress Zendarin creates a plan to overthrow his misstress. But now his cousin, Vereesa Windrunnerseeks him out and hunts him for trying to kidnap her sons. (Death when Vereesa pushes Zendarin's stolen naaru staf which he learnt to master into the remains of the Demon Soul. Two imense objects of magic and power battle with Zendarin in between and stretches him until he is ripped into pieces by his own magic also shaterring the naaru staff but not the Demon Soul)

if he can kill his own dragon consorts during "mating" i fear what he will do to us...

if a burning spear drops from deathwing im not touching it.

after seeing the new pictures of deathwing it looks like his weapon of choise is a large 2handed mace with a spiked head.....

Here is the dialogue that she has:

-- A huge black dragon descends from the skies of Shadowmoon Valley and lands just outside the Dragonmaw Base Camp. In a flash, it takes the form of a sleek, yet powerful Blood Elf woman. This is Lady Sinestra, consort of the black dragon Deathwing.

Alerted to her presence, a pair of Dragonmaw Enforcers charged with defending the camp step forward with their weapons drawn. Lady Sinestra pauses. --

Lady Sinestra says: Step aside lest I add you as another adornment to my armor. Your leader and I have matters to attend...
Dragonmaw Enforcer says: Yes... Yes we move now.. Please no hurt us...
Lady Sinestra smiles.
Lady Sinestra says: I thought you would see it my way...

-- Lady Sinestra walks confidently to the tower where Overlord Mor'ghor oversees the camp. She enters, gives a polite bow, and wastes no further time getting down to business. --

Lady Sinestra says: Overlord Mor'ghor, I presume... A pleasure to finally make your aquaintance.
Lady Sinestra says: I am Lady Sinestra.
Overlord Mor'ghor says: I will not drag this out any further than it needs, Lady Sinestra. You have bent my ear, now tell me what it is that you want from Dragonmaw.
Lady Sinestra says: You have no doubt heard about Nefarian's failures on Azeroth... While he has fallen, the experiments continue. My master... He continues the work that his progeny began.
Overlord Mor'ghor says: The... The master? He lives?
Lady Sinestra nods.
Lady Sinestra says: You were once a chief lieutenant, Mor'ghor. Your work in Grim Batol is not easily forgotten.
Lady Sinestra says: Now... We need the eggs that you recover. The Netherwing Eggs. They are, after all, a product of the master. We will pay whatever price that you ask.
Overlord Mor'ghor stammers.
Overlord Mor'ghor says: Ye... Yes, yes... Of course. We need only the crystals and ore from this place. There is... We will need mounts.

--He bows to her, already preparing to issue orders to his subordinates once his esteemed guest leaves. --

Lady Sinestra says: The master will be most pleased with this news. The Black Dragonflight will provide you all that you ask... You will be allowed to ride upon the backs of our drakes as needed.
Lady Sinestra says: I thank you for your graciousness, Mor'ghor. I must now take my leave.

-- Lady Sinestra bows once more, then turns around and strides to the edge of camp. Without pause, she transforms back into her true form, towering above all. She fills her black wings with the wind and flies away into the sickly yellow-green skies... --

Said to be the "last" optional boss in the lvl 85 Grim Batol raid, like Algalon. I hope you dont have to do some of the cataclysm bosses on hardmode to unlock her :P

For some reason every time I see her leave the fel orc camp, when she turns back into a dragon, instead of flying away she walks on air.. Odd.

Onyxia is coming back for a 3rd time, now she looks reanimated because her brother rez'd her and you'll be fighting both. So we will eventually slay all four in the family.
