Took me exactly 59 minutes to get 20 of these Netherweb Spider silk from this mob around Allerian stronghold.
Tailors will use these basically, all the time at high level so these should be sellable at all times at the Auction House.
If you are grinding around the Alliance base (55, 58) you should look out for the wandering Elite spider, Deathskitter, http://www.wowhead.com/?npc=18647.

Not fun to be down at 30% mana and health and all the sudden he sneaks up on you.

This mob is not so good pet... i can only bite, BUT! u can tame it and delete it after so u get bite rank:9!

Can any of you say "retarded droprate"?

This has to be one of the worst droprates from a mob, needed by a profession ( Tailor ) that are found in TBC.

First of all the silk drops at a poor rate ( 14% ) from this mob, which secondly and on top of that, is a quest mob which again result in... yes, many people are killing them which again is making it harder to get the silk for your profession.

Utterly retarded.

had collected 30 netherweb silks in 30 mins from terrokar forest spiders, really good drop rate i found, especially when nobody else was trying to farm for it :)

but as stated before watch for elite as he does sneak up on you

While farming up the silks you may find that the spiders drop lots of vendor trash, often a few at a time, which can make for some easy profit.

--Found where many of these spiders are located, 28.9, 78.8 in Terokkar Forest., right outside the Shi'tar Base camp, SW, can't miss them. No big drops so far, but if you're a Hunter and know what a good spider is for, this is the place. They start here at lvl 64.
--However having said that, I allowed my silithid to solo one of these and he ripped it up. But if you are not a BM Hunter, this spider is great!

Aight, so these things drop off Dreadfang Lurkers and Widows and with an estimated (quite correct) drop rate of 34%. You turn these in, 8 by 8 to get 250 reputation per turn-in with the Aldor if you chose the Scryers by mistake, want to change for a pattern, going for the Feat of Strength achievement Hero of Shattrath or whatever reason you want to come up with.

Strained Supplies is the way to turn in this things, although you don't need the quest to loot them! Correct, you can farm these without the quest which you might also want, because the achievement will require you (from 0/36000 Hated) to turn in, not one, not two, but 1344 of these beauties (Warning: This is a calculation based on the non-Human races, for a Human, that would be 1224). Oh yes, that many. It takes you to Neutral, making you able to do quests for the Aldor, as well as other turn-in quests.

So how am I gonna get 1344 before I die, you ask? Well, here's the answer, aswell as a good route starting just outside the Alliance camp Allerian Stronghold (which is also a very good place to clear your bags in a way earning your money, unless you use addons like Loot Filter). So running back and forth between Allerian Stronghold and Netherweb Ridge south of it at the edge of Outland might not be so fun you think, but with the right resolve and some good music you can earn above 100 per hour. I succeeded in getting exacly 100 per hour a couple of times, so with some complex maths it's about a 13-14 hour farm.

I noticed that instead of pressing "B" every few seconds to see how many you've got left to gather, you can fix a macro. Because the game won't let you drag non-usable items out on the bars, you can always make something simple, such as;

Works really smooth. The icon shows how many you've got, and if you hold your mouse over it, it shows how much gold you're wasting not selling them to a vendor! (Combine this with an addon such as BankItems and you'll even see how many your account has, it you can't be arsed filling your farmer char's bags with them!)

So there you go, a small guide for farming the Feat of Strength achievement Hero of Shattrath!

At 85, these still have a really nice respawn rate. By the time i got to the end of the ridge, mobs near allerian stronghold had already respawned. I avereged around 10 dreadfang venom sacs per run.

If you're farming these to switch from scryers to aldor, it may be good to check the AH. the venom sacs are usually sold cheaply, but only in small quantities collected by lvling alts passing through the area.

In Legion the Bear Tartare food can help alleviate the time constraint of having to mount to move between some mobs. You'll probably still be mounting to move between the different camps while you wait for them to respawn.
