This rare spawn drops the mount: Rampaging Mauler which is one of the new devourer meets Crawg models.

Konthrogz is a rare "event" spawn, that will be signalled in your chat with the text: "A massive devourer tears an opening into Korthia". When you see this text, a rare spawn will have appeared around 58,73 26,25, and will be attacking Keeper's Respite. This has got a LOT of hp, and will scale with increased amount of attackers, so expect to have around 3 minutes from spawn, to reach the rare before it is killed, even when many players are around.

Drop chance: Unknown, but i expect between 1-3%

Konthrogz the Obliterator rare is located in Korthia zone
After you defeat Devouring Tear in the cave rare spawns. Then it will patrol the roads.
Can drop Rampaging Mauler

Konthrogz the Obliterator rare is a part of Conquering Korthia achievement.

This has to be one of the dumbest rares Blizz has implemented in recent years.

A small chance for it to spawn when any rare in Korthia dies, I've been in multiple Rare Farm group and I spent all day in Korthia today have not even seen him once.

And this for a mount thats supposedly 1-3%?

I don't see any info on how frequent he comes up. I'll post my findings:
Up on Proudmoore at 8:05am on 7/1/2021. Right after daily reset
Up on Proudmoore at 11:55am on 7/1/2021.
Up on Proudmoore at 12:50pm on 7/1/2021.

Hi all

Small Guide How to get Rampaging Mauler Mount in Korthia. To get it You need to kill Konthrogz the Obliterator He can respawn in random location when You kill other Rare you can triger Portal He is one of the mobs coming out from it ( i got him at 52 21 ).

On Chat You will See : "A massive devourer tears an opening into Korthia" Portal will open ( look for star on map ) Now You need to kill all waves then last mob is Konthrogz the Obliterator.

Drop is 1-2% to get Rampaging Mauler.

This guy has a chance to spawn on spot where rare is killed, best bet is to join rare grps

I found the best way to farm it is to keep joining Reliwik groups until the devourer portal spawns on one of the kills, as the rare Reliwik has a very quick respawn and groups for it are almost always up. Just make sure to wait 20 seconds or so after it dies before leaving.

So I spend like 2 hours trying to farm this stupid rare from Kroker, and after 10 portals it never spawned (the towering trashcan did though, all 10 times). Bad luck or fixed? No idea, but to say I'm not pissed as this is the last stupid rare for the day, would be to lie.

Devouring Tear that spawns Konthrogz seems to trigger after Malbog is killed.
3 times after I killed Malbog, Devouring Tear instantly spawned.

Konthrogz drops the mount Rampaging Mauler.
He has a chance to spawn every time a rare is killed.
Best way to farm the rift is to kill the rare Reliwik, which is up multiple times a minute in group finder. Although Reliwik seems to only be up every other day.
Rampaging Mauler has a very low drop chance it seems. Maybe 1-2 %.

You only have one chance per day per character to loot the mount. So there is no point farming the rift on one character more than once.

Assuming Reliwik isn't up or you can't find regular enough groups for it when attempting to farm Kron's spawn - There is another way.

You can force Malbog to spawn every 5 minutes. The event doesn't need to be up, you just walk the path as if it were. There are plenty of videos showing the path, and more information on Malbog's page. It's very easy to do.

This isn't exactly ideal, though, since Malbog can spawn either of the two portals.

Failing that, killing Dominated Protector or Zelnithop as often as possible is helpful for spawning him. But your server will hate you for it. Good luck.

Konthrogz the Obliterator will spawn randomly after killing any rare in Korthia.
I found him everytime I doin content in Korthia (maybe 2h daily Q and treasures) and dropped mount after 10 attempts.
Today he spawned 2 times in 3 minutes at same place. (I got a screenshot)

He can spawn in a cave, the entrance is at coords /way 30.34 54.82 Konthrogz the Obliterator.
When you get inside, jump down and if you are facing the two burrows, then go through the one at your left. Inside the cave his exact location are coords 46.57 76.72

If anyone wants a macro to track whether he has been killed during the current lockout or not:

I use QuestsChanged addon to find the # to use. When you kill a rare it flags a hidden quest, and QuestsChanged tracks which quests are changed.

To add more to a single macro, Just add a comma after Konthogz's number and add famu=77777 or whatever else you like (up to 255 characters for the macro limit, and separated by a comma with no spaces).

Additionally, where I wrote 'Completed' or 'Not Completed' can also be reduced to just a 'y' or 'n' if you find yourself needing a few spare character to fit that one last rare into the macro. You can also shorten the names if you'd like - ie instead of 'Konthogz' you can simply write 'Kon'. Hope this helps someone out there! Cheers!

This rare is broken, with Korthia/Maw dead, this rare spawns very so rarely! Please send in-game suggestion to fix spawn timer/chances.

Here is an example copy paste this

Konthrogz the Obltierator an NPC in Korthia that spawns after killing rares, randomly, is very hard almost impossible to spawn and farm for his low chance % mount drop.
Please adjust the spawn rate and mount drop rate accordingly

I don't know if it's a bug but, I was in war mode and Konthrogz was already there, no one killed him. I was very surprised because no one spawn him and leave him alive. So I killed him. I was doing my other dailies after that and I came back and he was here again, like he respawned from my previous kill O_o

Might just be a anecdotal, but personally I find this fella and Towering Exterminator to frequently spawn after killing a Rare pulled out of the Rift.

I can confirm there's no "internal cooldown" timer to respawn again, he literally spawned again a second time on follow up killing of a Rare after downing him prior a moment earlier.
