He isn't too hard to solo, killed him by myself as a 20 paladin with no pots, no bubble, nor more than one heal.

pretty easy

he was found in top of a "tower" or hut or wahtever. theres 3 non elite mobs inside.

Soloed as an 18 warlock, just let my voidwalker tank and sacrificed when he was about to die. Keep all 3 dots ticking and life drain or shadowbolt.

Attempting to solo as a 17 prot paladin, will update with success/failure :P

Edit: Popped everything I had including a healing potion and lay on hands, got him to 24% Will be cake next level.

Impossible to solo as a non-healer/pet class.
Un-snarable caster, thus unkitable.Don't even try if you're a mage, rogue or warrior.

edit: the reason he's easy for others is he simply runs OOM and melees for very little damage. By the time he does he'll have done about 400 damage though and unless you can pump out enough DPS, you'll be too low on health to finish him.

Solo'ed as a level 19 rogue (although I did have a wingblade - sword rogue).

Opened with garrote, kicked him when he started lightning bolt and used evasion. Sinister striked till I had 5 points, evisc, repeat. Kick whenever he tries to lightning bolt, and had to use one potion.

It IS soloable as ANY class if you bring a potion or two. As others mentioned, make sure to drain his mana or to silence him when possible, his melee attacks are nothing compared to the magic dmg.

Soloed as a level 19 Ret pally.

Was pretty tough, had to pot once and use Blessing of Protection once to get a heal off. Mainly I just kited him around the top of the hut using LOS and did a Judgement of the Righteous every 8 seconds for my main damage. Really only resorted to melee damage when I was a full health or was oom. Used a shield and main-hand sword for the extra armor/stam.

As an orc lvl18 rogue i easily soloed. Started off by garroting him then kicking him every time he cast lightning bolt to silence. I then used evasion and blood fury and burned him down. Then when my health was low popped a light healing potion. Watch out for the chain lightning at the end.

Assuming you're a Blood Elf, it is even easier as you can, obviously, use your racial to interupt casting. I just did this as a 16 Blood Elf Rogue and he only got one cast off. Remember to gouge and do what you can to heal up.

Just solo'd as a 21 Ret paladin. Threw Judge of Crusader first for the holy damage + crit% boost (from talent), then threw up SoC. Ate the first lightningbolt beacuse I was on GCD, but the next one I LoS'd aroun the pillar. Came back around, and he began to cast Shrink, so I hit a white>hammer>judge SoC reseal SoC>white and he took a large chunk of health.

Finish the rest off with LoS'ing what you can't Arcane Torrent, and GG! :) -easy fight-

Unfortunately now, he seems ultimately immune to gouge. I tried it multiple times over; what he didn't resist/block/parry/evade, he seemed to just continue casting/attacking.

He casts lightning bolt continuously so kite him around the top of the hut breaking line of sight every time he stops to cast.

Did it solo as a level 19 protection specced paladin. This mob did more melee damage then spellcasting, so shield + 1-handed weapon it was. Basicly you should run to the other side of the hut whenever he's casting a spell. This way you avoid line of sight, and ofcourse, mobs can't shoot through obstacles like the hut.
This spellcasting takes quite some time, so it's a great opportunity to heal yourself. He doesn't really hurt a lot. I have very medium gear. Most of my gear is from quests and a few BS crafts, so nothing special. My mace was a level 7 quest reward, so basicly anything will do to kill it.
I had to pop devine protection once to bandage up, and I had to use about 3 Holy Lights and a minor hp potion to keep me alive. Interesting boss, and quite a challenge for most other classes that can't heal theirself I think.

easily solo'd as 20 rogue. Just kick his lightning bolts at the last 10th of a second and he's ezcakes. just used evasion.

Easily done as myself a 19 Rogue, a 15 Priest and 15 Mage. Simply just let him cast lightning bolts until the final second then Kicked to avoid most of his melee and popped Evasion as backup halfway through, simple :)

Soloed as a level 18 paladin. Here's my strategy:
When you start the fight, just melee him until you get down to about 120 health, then cast Holy Light. Use Judgement of Light so your attacks heal you, and of course use Devotion Aura. When he starts casting Shrink or Lightning Bolt, run around the middle pillar so you're not in his Line of Sight, so he can't cast them. Rinse and repeat.

Solo'ed as a level 16 hunter with a Elder Mottled Boar from Durotar. Simple fight, LOS and exchange aggro between you and your pet by using distracting and cower. You suck if you can't solo this easy guy.

Pet finished with 50% HP and I finished with 100% HP 5% Mana.

Pro Tip: Don't suck.

Soloed as 19 shammy, just LoS hit all the time, and when at 300hp heal, his instant chain lightning hit me for 130 damage. Heal yourself when he is using "shrink" if you need. Keep the sequence and its a easy kill.

Soloed as 18 Rogue.

Opened the battle with Well fed (+4 stam spi) and goldenmist special brew, and started with an ambush. Let go a sinister strike then ran behind the tower to avoid a lightning bolt. Kicked the shrink buff, leaving him to melee me while i put on evasion. Managed to pull off a 5-combo eviscerate, taking off a big chunk of his health. Used sprint to dodge some lightning bolts while kick was on cooldown. Had to bandage really quickly near the end.

Soloed as a lv 16 warlock.

Had Demon Skin, Goldenmist Special Brew (+70 hp), Elixir of Minor Defense (+50 armor) and Well Fed (Stam & Spir +4).

The above strategies work quite well. Had my voidwalker on him, with Torment turned off, while I dotted him. He doesn't stop to melee much, so I kept out of line of sight of his spells and refreshed my dots whenever I could. Used a Minor Healthstone (100 hp) and a Lesser Healing Potion (140-180 hp) throughout the fight, but they weren't very well needed. Easy stuff.

Easy as pie to solo as a 19 BE Paladin. Stunned him the first cast, hit racial ability the second time though if I did it again I probably would have held up on the racial due to the mana regen and just healed myself through the other times. Didn't use lay on hands or dmg reduing ability at all and he was dead by the time my stun cooldown was up.

Soloed as a 20 belf warlock. Easy kill. Using voidwalker pet, never lost aggro and never healed pet. Shrink doesn't matter. Just DOT him and ShadowBolt nuke him. Shadowburn for the final blow.
Easy fight, easy loot.

Soloed as a lvl 18 undead frost mage (the short-cast frostbolts help). Just launch one right as he comes around the corner, then run out of LoS, rinse and repeat, while bandaging/potting if he manages to hit you.

Quick little tid bit, his shrink and his lightning bolt are about 3 second casts, so you'll have enough time to LoS them. However, his chain lightning is instant cast, so you can't avoid that really unless you get lucky with arcane torrent.

As an 18 pally, you can LoS him the whole time. This is also a good time to heal if you're low on health. If you use judgement of the wise, then you won't have to worry about mana. Pull him with hand of reckoning for a little bit of bonus damage at the beginning. Other than that, wack away at him.

Solo'd as a 14 Blood Elf Warrior with Heirlooms. Very Very simple fight, just kept rend on him and kited him around a pillar. Extremely easy, no pots, no bandaids
