At level 113 in the beta, This rare is difficult to kill solo. Watch out for the spin attack Shell Spin, will kill you within a few hits unless you can kite or have a group/ tank.
At level 120 this world quest is available, Kulett the Ornery

Good tactic here for soloing, is to stun everytime Kulett starts using Shell Spin as it will otherwise kill you easily, if you're not in tank spec. Kulett will use Shell Spin every 1min or so, so you might have your stun ready in time to use again.

If you don't have a stun, don't lose your time trying to solo it: it moves faster than a toon on foot, kills really quickly, and if you try to kite outside an extremely narrow area, it will reset.

As a Demon Hunter I was able to solo it at level 114. Whenever he Shell Spin's just use your Chaos Nova or your Fel Eruption. If both are on cooldown you also have your Metamorphosis to stun him once again. You win easily.

soloed as arms warrior. Died about 10 times before i figured out a way to beat him. Turns out hamstring works to slow him down when he does his spin attack. Bit of luck and dodging and managed to beat him.

Tameable. Beautiful shell (see screenshot).

If you're looking to kill him, make sure to have some interrupts or rooting abilities available for Shell Spin.

Is a pain in the butt to kill solo as a Boomkin/Resto druid. After a handful of deaths, was able to work out appropriately timed stuns using Mighty Bash or casts of Entangling Roots quickly enough before he got his Shell Spin off. Beware of Shell Spin: it knocks you back, interrupting casts, and only takes a handful of hits to kill you. Don't get stuck between Shell Spin and a hard place like I did. I thought having my back against the cliff would prevent the knockback, but then I really just took away any chance of escaping death... If you're able to root him in place, let Shell Spin nearly complete its cycle before going in for the attack.

I just managed to tame him as a 120 hunter a few minutes ago after dying twice. I placed a frost trap next to him then hit Tame Beast and presto! Kept him from spinning me to death.

This guy murdered me while levelling and he wasn't that much easier at 120. More than a few ticks of shell spin and you're in trouble.

As a fury warrior I used intimidating shout on his first spin, heroic leap to dodge the second and dragon roar to outrun a third. Even then I had to enraged regen to compensate for my rubbish timing.

Solo'd as a resto druid after 1 death and 1 reset

keep him close to his spawn or he will reset, when he starts to cast shell spin, typhoon to knock back and immediately use roots to snare. simply wait for him to stop spinning and resume dps, rinse and repeat a few times for an easy win.

If at any point you start getting knocked back go tree of life and instant cast roots to get away from him.

Strictly a challenge-only rare, which means you kill him for the pride of ownership, not the miserly amount of spare change and pocket lint he drops. Remember when these guys used to be labelled "Bring a Friend" or some such so you could save a little on the armor bills? No more. It's dinner with Kulett and he's ordered the lobster, which would be you.

Just soloed on my 120 Resto Druid.... Super Annoying fight but used Ursol's Vortex with Feral Affinity and got him down quick enough to trigger his spin move only once.

Soloed on my lvl120 frost dk, Chains of Ice is a literal life saver - casted when he was finishing his cast and reapply as needed until he finishes Shell Spin, it was a cake walk from there and managed to down him after only 2 of his spin moves

as of patch 8.2 a fresh level 120 in benthic gear won't die to his shell spin, but it will still spam knock you back until he evades and resets. even with your back to the wall, the knockback subroutine will do its best to ensure you are moved to a spot where you lose line of sight

As a 120 Shadow Priest w/ 346 ilvl I was able to down this mob. Use Fear as soon as he's using his Shell Spin attack and burn him down. Dispell his buff, and if you can't burn him before the next Shell Spin, use Dispersion to ride it out while staying in range to keep him from resetting. I took a beating but was able to finish him off.

He spins ~every 60 seconds. If you stun his spin DURING his cast, he will immediately spin again after. If you wait to stun till his cast is complete and his spin is just starting then you won't see it again for another 60 seconds. Soloed as holy priest using only Chastise, no Psychic Scream needed.

If you use a pet, make sure you use the " Move To " command while engaging him, otherwise he will keep knocking your pet further and further away until the mob disengages and runs back to his spawn point. Very annoying fight.

I just slayed it with a 36 level ret paladin. Use Zeal, Blade of Wrath and Fist of Justice. Start by doing damage. As soon as it casts Shell Spin, use Hammer of Justice. Spend as much as Holy Power as possible. When it casts Shell Spin again, use Divine Shield. You will be knocked back, move back to it and use Hammer of Justice while it is spinning and go crazy. Casting Rebuke to interrupt Shell Spin does not work.
