Grats to all the winners.:)
All but *one* winner joined up just for the contest and had one post, that one winner that I mentioned had a grand total of 4.You guys should do something for the people who come here everyday and make wowhead what it is, not saying I disapprove, congrats to all the winners, no hard feelings.I actually found it kind of funny.
Grats to the winners!I'm just hoping it wasn't based on some sort of content because well, I read some really awesome "epic" stories, and the winners well, were like 1-2 sentences lmao XD
"first epic piece which was shadow-cloak of dalaran. It was awesome i guess."are you effing serious, wowhead? that's just sad, I'm going back to thottbot after years of wowhead...thanks for the time.
jestercow; Wowhead is a free service hence they share no liability to give you free stuff besides what they already offer. As Skosiris said it is a 'bonus'. I believe it is mainly to genereate activity for Wowhead which hopefully brings out the best in the competitors leaving good comments, submitting data or screenshots. Wowhead is preferred by many because of the maturity of comments not by the contests.
Appi: I wasnt griping because I didnt win, I'm just rather disappointed that those who did win put forth seemingly zero effort. There were many well worded and thought out 'essays' that wouldn't bother me one bit if they won. As I said, I'm just disappointed.
Darn... maybe I'll get lucky next time. Thanks for the fun contest Wowheaders!
We're trying. It just typically requires the people who are giving out the prizes to spend extra money on legal fees to make the contest valid in multiple countries, and these people are hard to convince. :(
Make an EU version now, and make it for those who joined 2007. Would be great. :D
Alright, the people who won have really worthless posts, considering lots of fascinating tales and stories about "the first epic" and what considers something epic. A purple item is yes, epic by game mechanics, but a good story about triumph and adversity in getting said item can truly make the experience epic. The winners here didn't deserve to win, nothing about their posts was "epic" to be rewarded.
