Thank you so much for the Shaking options! Gives me a headache. I wonder if they saw my Suggestion at some point.
I didn't see it, but it's possible I simply over looked it - are the drunk screen stagger effects affected by this? Like, can I tone down/disable that?
I don't suffer from motion sickness, but I've wanted an option for years to disable ground shaking effects. Yay!
I have had motion sickness issues with some things in the game over the years. . The train in Grimrail Depot in Wod and the ship in Maw of Souls. Also the Darkmoon faire carousel. I'm sure there have been other moments, but these were the ones that were constant problems when they were current. The roller coaster doesn't seem to bother me so I use that at the faire now. I'm definitely going to check out these settings when I can!
While I do suffer from motion sickness with some games (mainly fps with low FoV), I haven't experienced it much in WoW. But with that said super happy it exists, I'll certainly give it a go :)
Really happy about this :) I will definitely be using this feature, Thank you for implementing this! I do hope that the next line of handicap features will be for seizures.
During Legion Beta one of "features" that was worked on was "Advanced Camera Features" - Some people recall it, some dont. Most of it is now available trough addon "Dynamic Cam".Basically it gave camera waaay more "action-dynamic" feel with over the shoulder view and camera shaking. In addition, it also moved center horizon a bit up.At that time there was a flood of reports of motion sickness caused by this features. I was one of heavily affected by it with not being able to spend in game more than 40-60min before being really sick and having to lay down.Trough later iterations they added several options for "Camera Shaking" from 0(none) - (3)full dynamic. That provided some options, but again moved horizon was also the issue. Next, they added in game warning which pops up that you are about to enable "Advanced Camera Features" if you choose to do so.And finally, they decided to scrap the idea of UI settings but leave it as a CVar option, saying that this is something that needs more development and it will be looked into further."Dynamic Cam" addon enables back those CVars and allows you to create various cameras.Example 1Example 2This is just further iteration and evolution of that system i guess, finally being ready for official implementation.tho again Dynamic Cam provides waaaay more options.Nice addition. Can Survival Hunters get DW pl0x? :D
Blizzard has little regard for player experience at ground level. You get battered with the same voice lines and sound effects over and over and over, obnoxious visuals and flickering lighting. The shadowform "stink" flies right at your camera as you travel. Your camera gets stuck behind a flapping banner after you hearth to the great seal. Little things like that.Any improvements in this department are very welcome.
