Good. Maybe we will see some slower inflation with this.
Really sad to see this change happen, this will break most AH addons and really make it a pain to do any buying or selling on anything but a small scale.Goldmaking is a very large community and one of the largest wow discords. A lot of us play the AH, make gold, buy tokens, and just have fun with this part of the game. It would be really sad if they didn't adjust this to stop the true edge cases or encourage people to move to lower pop realms instead of throttling all server sizes equally.
If your full time job is maximizing the AH and needing add-ons to do it, you should get a real job.
why not just ban these addons, they are basically cheating, all addons are, if you aren't capable of playing the game how it truely is without addons, shame on you.
A. Fair. Somone (like me) doing 80+ searches for every glyph possible through AH to check if price is good enough SHOULD be throttled if it inflence comfort of people who just want to buy one thing of AH. B. Devs could be more open with such issues. Say something earlier, open conversation etc. Why this ninja hit?
Great change, I hate having to keep re-dragging and clicking list 10 times before an item finally gets listed.
So wait, their servers are not capable of handling this (which they should) so instead they slow down the game for people who partake in this? WHAT?Don't damage an important part of the community, FIX YOUR GAME.
I'm by no means a power Ah user or Goblin, I use Auctioneer just to keep track of some values. I posted about 20 auctions a couple hours ago and could definitely notice the delay. It wasn't enough to make it unbearable but I could certainly notice it.
Sounds reasonable. There has to be a hard cap on the efficiency of addons to interact with the AH. This might be it - unless the gold making community does not want new members and does not want to grow.
How about better servers and more efficient queries so people can play the game without being restricted? It was already crappy and now this is just making things worse.
Tbh if they clog the bandwidth with "scan everything" types of actions then yeah, put them on lower prio, we don't wanna go back to old AH that was laggy and impossible to use just because some people wanted to scan 5 million items per minute. Also wouldn't be surprised if accounts that post hundreds of thousands of goods at a time are farmer bots.
Blacksmithing alone has at least 500 items that can be sold as transmog on the AH for a profit. Scanning, posting and canceling with TSM has been miserable ever since 8.3 hit. You can't queue actions anymore so you have to stay on your PC and do them one by one - god forbid they ever disallow scroll wheel macros too, they would cause so many carpal tunnel syndromes. (Let's just not get started with mass scraping and mass disenchanting, which both are extremely frustrating.) I was hoping this would get better with an update but as it turns out Blizzard comes with the big f- you to everyone who wants to make gold with their crafting professions.
Excellent. I have some some things to say about people making their money exclusively through market manipulation, whether in-game or irl, and also multiboxing, but I won't make those opinions public since it would be rather hard to make these compliant with rules against abusive language. Needless to say, this is a great change for ACTUAL players that do actual content. I'd rather see all those addons banned, but even this is great. Also, amazing how many people are complaining about the servers not being able to handle gameplay... You call this gameplay? Your automated bots having to wait a couple of seconds between AH actions rather than having them happen almost instantly?
this is one of the dumbest things i have heard in a while xD
yet they still allow multiboxing. patheitc.
