Really, they reduced even the exp for 110-120? It was already so damn fast
So after players told Blizzard they weren't happy with the changes to levelling, and were told by Blizzard that "the changes are fine, deal with it" they've gone ahead not once but twice and reduced the XP requirements. Maybe one day soon they'll realise levelling is still painful and needs to go back to the patch 7.1.5 rates.
You level on general note 28% faster from 20 to 111Means its like having 3 extra heirlooms, what seems amazing to me!
Really with the state of levelling as it is, it should be a 40-50% drop from 60-110. This is a start, though.
And thus the pendulum artificially shifts once again. Blizzard nerfs and mutilates the game so that in a few months when the collective consciousness has forgotten they can revert the widely hated changes to the applause of the masses. The Ion taketh, and the Ion giveth.
Comparing the pre-7.3.5 xp values to the 8.1 xp values (including the 8.0 hotfix that reduced xp in some brackets), it's roughly a 28% reduction in xp from 20-110: old - 29,685,700; new - 21,162,510. However, that's a little misleading since the xp per level at level 20 could increase 1000% but it would hardly affect the total. As for the average xp reduction, it's about 14.5%. If we exclude 20-40 (where the reductions are minimal), the average reduction increases to 28%. The group that really stands out to me is the 60-80 bracket which is looking at an average 43.8% reduction from pre-7.3.5! That's massive! One question: Have any quest or mob xp values changed since pre-7.3.5?perculia, could you add the pre-7.3.5 xp values to the table? I think those numbers would be really enlightening.
What about allied races? More accurately the Argus rep ones.
I remember way back when we had to walk up hill both ways in the snow with no shoes to get to school.
Was just questing in Argus with my 112 Paly... and only source of XP is mining. Mobs give 3 to 6 XP and quests give nothing. So -20% of 0 is still 0.
Also it is obvious to some people but hasn't been pointed out here in this thread. Rested XP gives 200% to mob and herb/mining.The majority of those that have been able to level from 110 to 115 in a single zone is because they are alt characters with rested XP. I just leveled a horde char from 102 to 120 and it took a week real time or about 40 hours. The beginning of that I had tons of Rested XP, and that got me through Legion content quickly. But when I got to BfA I had zero Rested XP, and needed to grind through all 3 zones completing all chapter quests (not all side quests though), and that only took me to 118. But that was perfect because then I went and did all three war campaign intros, a single island expedition... and that put me at 119.5 with only a few side quests to finish off. (I actually wanted this so it worked out perfectly). My point... leveling alts is easy when you plan to use Rested XP. Especially if you stair step them (112 to 114, etc... then jump to the next one). Now to work on the 3 still at 112, 2 still at 111 and 1 still at 110... with waiting to level my level 77 and 65 until after the patch.
Yay. Thanks for that Blizzard. Altoholics rejoice.
Glad I've been waiting to level. 8.1 couldn't come sooner.
Finally I can lvl again without it being a pain in the ass, so excited for this patch.
