My real issue with this, is that, as always, the Horde are painted as this big evil, and the alliance as completely and utterly pure. Anytime there's a misunderstanding or conflict between the two whenever peace seems close, it's always someone from the Horde who starts/causes it. Further, there has been zero stability with warchiefs for the Horde since Cata. we had Thrall hand over to Garrosh, who turned out to be big evil, Vol'jin took over then promptly gets gutted, hands to Sylvanas, who, it seems, Blizz have decided they're going to make into another big evil leading to yet another warchief change, and of course, along the way to cata, not even ingame, but simply in lore, we had the pointless killing off of Cairne Bloodhoof. By contrast, the Alliance has had a grand total of two leader changes. Anduin returning as King at the start of Wrath, and then Anduin taking over at the start of Legion. As it stands, Alliance leadership seemingly has plot armour of phenomena order, while the Horde gets constantly shafted. Thrall-alive but retired. Garrosh (big evil) - Dead. Cairne - Dead. Vol'Jin - Dead. Kael'thas (big evil) - Dead. We don't even have clear replacements for these leaders. Who speaks now for the Orcs as their representative? It was seemingly Saurfang, but he's currently rotting in an Alliance prison because Sylvanas is a big evil seemingly, so it's not him, and we have no one acting as a representative for the Trolls either. It very much feels, as a Horde player, that Blizzard sees the Horde as second rate, and not worthy of treating even handedly.(Bear in mind, I acknowledge that I probably have much bias here, as a primarily Horde player).
Why is Elsie's grave here? Didn't Anduin give her his gryphon to fly to safety with and she wasn't mentioned after that?Did I miss something?edit: i was incorrect, it was emma, the mother of the 3 forsaken brothers who he gave his gryphon to
Horde wasn't responsible at all for Bolvar's death. That was Varimathras and Putricide, the latter of which went rogue.Alliance had Bolvar, Varian, Anduin.Varian's death was not the Horde's fault either. the Horde was forced to retreat as their lines were already shot and destroyed. They actively held off the Legion's numbers as long as they possibly could without being destroyed utterly. By the time they left the field, Sylvanas was literally the only Horde notable still standing. Thrall was down, so was Baine, Lorthemar, Vol'jin etc.So no, the horde was not responsible in either case, but as usual, Blizzard intentionally dumped the blame on them anyway.
she will pay for this.
I just red the book and it was good BUT come on we gonna change another warchief soon they are becoming like fifa games. Guess if she dosn't die in this xpac next will be World of Warcraft: Sylvanas vs Everyone...
Wow, I didn't think people could be so stupid to believe one 3rd party writer would be shaping the lore for a major franchise. Do people not understand that the actual Blizzard staff come up with the basics of what's going to happen and how they're taking the story, then give them to Golden, discuss finer details, and she makes it happen? She's just good at putting them into novel form, that's all, same with every other book, manga, etc. that's come out since the start. It's not a freaking fanfiction made official.
Man, this graves are so morally gray!
Gotta say, I'm a little disappointed in Wowhead here. This was irresponsible to post. I was in the middle of reading the book when I saw this headline yesterday. It was easy to put two and two together on what was going to happen based on this post. The book came out just a couple days ago. Not everyone had advanced copies and not everyone has time to read a book cover to cover the day it comes out. Please put more effort into screening spoilers from your main page for at least a few weeks after new releases.
Hahaha I love how these people that &*! to Sylvanas daily are so mad about this
Glad I came here. My lunch needed some salt and washing it down with Horde/Sylvanas tears is quite satisfying.Loved the book. Sylvanas sucks and needs to be replaced by Baine or Varok (perferrebly the latter). Calia needs to claim her place as leader of the Forsaken and bring them to the Alliance where they’ve always belonged. The Horde can have Mantid or Arakkoa as a consolation. Maybe even Leper Gnomes.
Bloody Hell... What's going on with this... Holy crapI'm speechless
