Honestly, I'm just waiting for the dev team to get so fed up with the community that they craft an in game disease that wipes out all High Elves for the rest of eternity just so they no longer have to listen to people whining that they want them as a playable race. They have said no for years, and that does not appear to be changing ever. Even though Ion can come off as abrasive at times, frankly, I don't blame him at this point for saying if you want a High Elf, the Horde is waiting for you. The guy gets pestered every Q&A, constantly flamed, ridiculed, and heck, I've heard even receives death threats (because that's the way to get something you want /s) from the community, and stands firm each and every time saying hey, go play a Blood Elf if you want a High Elf. Small wonder the rest of the dev team avoids Q&As like the plague, if this is how the community reacts when they're told no.Personal speculation here - I see more coming down the line with Void Elf involvement in Azeroth. There have been massive hints dropped that we're going to see some big Old God involvement in this next expansion. I can see them setting up the race to have a massive role in combating them, considering they're wielders of the Void as well. But, again, that is pure speculation on my part. I personally like my Void Elf, and am glad they decided to add them in game. Besides, its the only race that lets me relive my emo phase from 2007 with the side flip bangs and dark purple hair!
