Patch 4.1: Rise of the Zandalari´s cinematic it´s just epic.. I LOVE Vol´jin´s answer: "The Horde is my people". Hope we meet him again at Zandalar as a loa spirit =)
When I started playing in the burning crushade, I met the Amani people and I loved the story of Zul'aman and Zul'jin. My first character was a rogue troll and I love knowing that I will see more troll story: D I will definitely create a troll, and i saved his nick haha
im super excited for all the allied races. I've never played horde but trolls have always been a favorite of mine since I play a hunter. Pumped for Chronicles vol. 3!
My favorite troll memory actually goes back to Warcraft 2, because I loved how they fit in with the Horde forces, the troll axe throwers provided a balance as ranged DPS, the mirror of the elven archers on the Alliance side. The trolls back then didn't have as much lore to back them up and they didn't have the Jamaican accent, but there were cool, and an essential part of the Horde forces. I think they had more of a Cuban accent, like Al Pacino in Scarface. "D'you call me?" and "Who'd you want to kill?" were my favorite lines that I heard all the time when playing. I play a troll a little bit here and there, but the accent and the crouching stance kind of put me off. I'm really looking forward to seeing the new trolls that stand upright, and I hope the stance option is added for all Trolls in the game.
My twin brother and I used to run the old Zul'Gurub for the mounts. We both got the raptor pretty early on but only I got the tiger before it got removed. Maybe if I win this I can give him the book at least. We're both huge lore nerds. :)
I love Zandalars :)) Still can remember pain of an old ZG and mount runs at ZA. Very excited about Zandalar druid, just love dinosaurs :D
What I love about trolls is how they talk, mon. I fell in love right after I listened to them, so fitting the way they talk! Sadly I play on alliance against my will haha so I don't have a troll but I plan to create one on BfA to experience horde's side of the story. Also I'm looking forward their relationship with the Old Gods since im an old god nerd <33
When I just started playing WoW I loved to explore all the stuff there was and so I ran/swam into Yojamba Isle. It was my first meeting with the trolls (My first char was alliance) and I love it! Because of that meeting I worked on getting the now FoS Hero of the Zandalar Tribe and I am still glad I got it!
Favorite Troll memory? Hard to say. I have killed so many of them.
I remember farming through Zul'gurub for that tiger mount. Never got it, but I had the layout memorized for cata at the least.
My favorite troll memory is when voljin said he is not worthy to thrall when he was chosen to be warchief. I don't know why it just hit me right in the feels.
Troll lore is some of the most interesting in the Warcraft world, glad to see it being fleshed out in game more.
I don't have any too special memory with the trolls. However, there was something I actually liked about them - in patch 5.3 Darkspear Trolls were fighting Kor'kron and, if I recall it correctly, since that patch we could see them as guards in Orgrimmar which was a cool thing.
Trolls are one of the best races for me. I don't play them much, but they fascinate me with being one of the oldest races on Azeroth with having several other races descended from them, and having such an ancient civilization having prominence in the next expansion has got me super excited! I cant wait to roll a Zandalari Troll Druid and check out all the cool new forms, they're something I've wanted for a while now :)
I don't normally do trolls but I did for the running of the trolls last year - it was a whoot and a half - went all out fabulous mon. XD
A whole list of questions! Now, I'm mostly Alliance-minded, but I'm still impressed by the scale of Troll building, whether it's Zul'Gurub, Hinterlands or Northrend. I mean, those wall-tops would serve as proper roadways nowadays! It was the city walls, and Zul'Gurub's essential beauty that impressed me most about that place. I first encountered it out of instance, long before I dared to run it solo. Zul'Gurub at rest would do well as a model for the Hanging Gardens of Babylon, I think. So lush, such beautifully-arranged space. I've run it as a dungeon a few times since, but of course nothing like the old raid. I had started on WoW well too late to even try for the Amani War Bear, but I hope to get the replacement mounts from the 5-man some day.I'm really looking forward to my Zandalari Druid! The dinosaur shapechanges Wowhead has previewed are wonderful - I can't resist having them for myself. I've even already picked a name, carefully using the Yoruban language as a stand-in for a Human -Troll translation dictionary. I've got a touch of Compulsive Alt Syndrome, so rolling another means another exploration of lore and viewpoint; and with the Zandalari being Horde, I'll get to see both sides of the story again. (Good thing Druids are the best - I can't pass up a wicker Bear either!)
The Zandalari druid forms are crazy cool. Can't wait to make one!
I think I'm most excited for Zandalari Druids. I've never played one before, they've never really appealed to me, but these new forms are exciting! I have to admit, though I've been anti-Paladin for years, the idea of Zandalari Paladins is exciting. Especially if they're outside of the usual Paladin factions. I've never really liked their attitude towards just about anything, so Paladins that don't fit into that box could be really cool. Legion and BFA has me excited for aspects of the game I've never been excited for before. I've got max level alts or the first time ever. I'm leveling professions I've never even touched before. I can't wait for what comes next!
I'm excited about getting an upright standing troll! I love their lore so I'm pretty stoked about almost everything.I actually got an Amani Bear pretty recently, like 4 years ago. My guildmates helped me when I was levelling up my main.
