Wow... more elves... yay....We already haveNight elvesHigh ElvesBlood elvesFelblood elvesVampire ElvesNightborn elvesNightfallen elvesSpider elvesDo we even need more?
https://youtu.be/dE8dxKoRbds Here a link to a video from blizzcon 2016 in a wowhead dev interview one of the question was can we in the future be able to see more character customization then Chris Robinson replied we can’t say anything as of now but we have something big coming up in the future it’s around the 12 to 16 minutes mark Im pretty sure
this could be a good excuse to implement horde races in the alliance or races of the alliance in the horde i can't wait to see the new expansion but... when the wolgens and goblins reskin?
I think Tauren and Nightelf / Draenei and Blood Elf, have been done at the same time, due to them being across from each other on the character selection screen. Creating an environment for easy altering of the GUI. Later races may be edited alongside this but done again, in pairs for the exchange of the GUI.
Would love Taunka style Taurens and some more race/class combo like Undead Paladin - may not fit for lore, but would love it nonetheless.
Giving the available races the ability to add more custimazation to the chracter would be better.
Hopefully they give a free token for each 110 character that gets a new subrace, but knowing blizz.. prob only 1 and buy each one.
Hmm that what I was thinking to but also with all these datamined supposed sub races it seems to be tying in with one another now I wonder what he meant by something big for character customization hmmmm?
Who's ready for Tauren rogues , alliance blood elfs ,possible new void class
But you do realize that those Void elves will be High Elves who were tought by Alleria to use the void powers. So if your shadow priest is a Night Elf it wouldn’t have much sense either way
Nothing cool looking is on the alliance side... it'll probably be for horde...
As the timelines are getting skewed, and with the various long time races spread across Kalimdor and Azeroth, it would be nice to see a twist in the thinking by Blizzard. Yes adding more races would be nice, but think about this for a second....A gnome who builds up a trade route with the Alliance, or a human who hunts in Kalimdor and trades with the Horde, would eventually lead to other races within the Horde and Alliance communities. They may not be liked, or may be on "neutral" ground, but it would be cool to be a Blood Elf hanging in Stormwind and not just outside the gates.Pandas were a good example, you could be a Horde or Alliance thus giving flexibility to the race. You see pandas in all cities, friendly to them via their allegiance, why not allow this for all races? When creating your toon, you would pick you allegiance or remain neutral. If you picked Horde for a Human, then you would be an enemy to Alliance, or you could change your reputation over time through quests/fighting/etc, just as you do now; think Booty Bay allegiances for the Insane achievement. Of course to prevent allegiance shifting, Blizzard could make it harder to switch or maybe have someone you pay off with gold and have it get costlier each time. Or you could go neutral, fighting for whatever side you want or no side at all. This could lead to "neutral" cities (like Booty Bay), or maybe all the smaller ones like the (X)shires, whereas any race can buy or set their stone from the vendors/innkeeper.I don't see how this couldn't be done, Pandas and Demon Hunters are already in place, so the coding is technically there. A tweak or two, and bam, Gnomes in Ironforge slamming down drinks with Dwarves! TLDR: Don't add more races, just eliminate racial factions, all races can be any faction. Stop the segregation! ;)
I hope all introduced 4 subraces work like the pandaren did.
Void looks pretty cool, I like the celestial kind of glow. Looks kind of Horde-ish though.
This certainly seems disappointing. We not just don't get to play as Nightborne but will also get "High" Void Elves who look like blood elves. Nightborne, for example, obviously share most of their traits with Night Elves but their model seems quite different when compared to the Night Elven and not just the colour palettes but also the fact that they look a bit slenderer and etc. I really hope these silhouettes are there as placeholder models and that they're still working on proper and good models, in the end they'll be playable races/sub-races and not just NPCs will have around during a couple expansions.
Maybe Void Elves, if that were to become a playable race, would just look like a High Elf but their racial ability allowed them to embrace the void and take on a more void-like appearance as well.
Nightborne and Highmountain Tauren for Horde.>Nightborne for Horde>Not NeutralGuess I spent months helping these dudes on my Alliance char for nothing, thanks Blizz :^))))
